Suspended Fox Host Eric Bolling Wednesday announced a lawsuit against the reporter who broke the story of allegations of sexual harassment against him. I still have two irons in the fire. One is a job in Charlottesville, working intel analysis. The other is a position in Portland. Unfortunately, I needed to sign up for classes at the local community college so I can get GI Bill support as a backup plan, and if I don't get a good offer in the next two weeks I'll be locked in with that.
I suspect that I'm going to end up as an art student for another four months while I hunt for a job outside of California.

I remember a college professor I had said extroverts are energized by being around others and find their energy is sapped when they are alone too much and introverts find their energy sapped by too much socializing. I'd like to solicit a book in the same genre, but focused solely on the sabotage of known liberals in most all of the career fields they're known to frequent. As well as devastating their homes, family lives, and all around psyche and well-being.
For the modern world, IT folks have it the easiest, being able to write bad code, set up and install fvcked up networks, configure and format hard drives to over-duplicate, self-overwrite, self-reformat, etc. Or, just generally slow down 'net speeds, foul up work orders, etc.
Food servers, with lots of "enemy" customers, can really screw up the works. Introduce some salmonella to that chicken order, at no extra charge!
What other mayhem might Teh Horde envisage, and produce?

PBS had a short series about a Victorian woman who poisoned husbands (and others) for insurance money. She was only convicted on a few of them but is suspected of the other bunch but the cops of those days didn't have enough evidence to convict/charge her on the others. Personally, I recommend Queen. Solid band, Adam Lambert is good and there are NO politics.
/the Roger Waters show I attended in Metro Detroit was 100% white, mostly 40+ age group. There's a bit video bit that supports Black Lives Matter [applaud wildly!] and another that basically says screw the cops [applaud wildly again.] The applause was coming from baby boomers who prolly live in the higher priced burbs who don't know ONE black, and, if they saw a black walking on their street, would call the cops. But "BLM YES!!" Cops SUCK!!!

I'm often amazed that bad guys were ever caught at all. Still...they were. I suspect that after the railroad and telegraph spread, it became easier to find people.
Another factor might be that strangers were more apparent at that time then they are now.
As an aside, a few decades ago I was out of town on business (at a smallish town) and had an hour of free time, so stopped in at a local barber shop for a trim.
After I had been in the chair for a bit, the door opens up, and in walks the sheriff. He sat down, and started up some small talk with the barber, and me...
I didn't think anything about it, until he asked where I was from. I realized that he had seen the plate on my car, and was kinda interested in why I was there.
All very pleasant, of course, and I didn't resent it at all. But, there it was. He wasn't there for a haircut.

The left targets the 'node' the organizer who gets results, the movers and shakers, especially the ones who avoid the spotlight.
Then rumors circulate, not to inform, but to frighten the others who might think of themselves as the next victim.

I'd like to solicit a book in the same genre, but focused solely on the sabotage of known liberals in most all of the career fields they're known to frequent. As well as devastating their homes, family lives, and all around psyche and well-being.
For the modern world, IT folks have it the easiest, being able to write bad code, set up and install fvcked up networks, configure and format hard drives to over-duplicate, self-overwrite, self-reformat, etc. Or, just generally slow down 'net speeds, foul up work orders, etc.
Food servers, with lots of "enemy" customers, can really screw up the works. Introduce some salmonella to that chicken order, at no extra charge!
What other mayhem might Teh Horde envisage, and produce?

Cars, their computer controllers and those pesky trouble codes. So, at random times, a trouble light (pick your poison) lights up on the dashboard and the engine dies. Won't start until the 4th or 5th try. Then all is good.

Depending on the age of the car, the cat may have an electric preheater that warms it at startup. The cat wants to be hot for optimum efficiency, especially since the engineers at the automakers are trying to use the absolute minimum of precious metals in the catalyst lattice.
The preheaters break, and that then throws a code. The car will still run fine. It will emit some trifling amount of additional smog while it's cold. Not enough for any rational person to be concerned about.

I'd like to solicit a book in the same genre, but focused solely on the sabotage of known liberals in most all of the career fields they're known to frequent. As well as devastating their homes, family lives, and all around psyche and well-being.
For the modern world, IT folks have it the easiest, being able to write bad code, set up and install fvcked up networks, configure and format hard drives to over-duplicate, self-overwrite, self-reformat, etc. Or, just generally slow down 'net speeds, foul up work orders, etc.
Food servers, with lots of "enemy" customers, can really screw up the works. Introduce some salmonella to that chicken order, at no extra charge!
What other mayhem might Teh Horde envisage, and produce?

Problem with the cigarette thingy now is that CA passed a law that all cigarettes had to be treated with a chemical that causes them to go out of you don't puff on it often enough so that people who fell asleep with one lit wouldn't burn down the house. Rather than just make a batch for CA, the manufacturers just made it that way across the country. If I let mine sit in an ashtray for more than a couple of minutes, I have to relight it.

Trip tip, maybe drive the Black Canyon of the Gunnison. Pretty country. It's a little north of Durango. There is also the Great Sand Dunes National Park. Again a little out of your direct path, but interesting nonetheless. South of Durango, there is Mesa Verde National Park, and southwest is the Four Corners area. They have a marker you can stand on and be in Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, and Arizona all at the same time. Not a real lot to see there, but the surrounding desert area is pretty awesome.

A few examples.
The first is in regards to the 2nd Amendment. Back in the '70's when people who actually cared about 2nd Amendment rights took over the NRA, public opinion and more importantly political opinion was against them. If they had pushed for a SCOTUS case to declare formally whether the 2nd Amendment was an individual right... they would have lost and destroyed almost any chance to have SCOTUS. Instead they laid the groundwork such that when they did end up making that push -- i.e. bring out the fightin' knife -- they already knew they would win.
As to the dirk to the kidney, the example of how Michigan became a right to work state is illustrative. The unions made a big push and failed hard. Quick action (in a lame-duck session soon after the election, IIRC) exploited this weakness and dirked the f**k out of the UAW's already bleeding kidney.
There is plenty of good that the Trump administration is doing, and yes this includes legislation and regulation repeal coming from Congress. But this isn't due to any Crocodile Dundee "that's not a knife" moments.
The real fights are the ones you don't see.

you know where your targets are. (minimum range: everything after that is open season)
as with any area fire, you just shoot along pre-approved fire plans, where everything between the Southern edge of the DMZ and your max effective range and our L-R arc of fire is a valid target.
especially if you specify that minimum range is "X", where "X" is inside Seoul population border/ minimum density.
you don't need spotting/correction, just walk them up and down and back and forth.
you just need maximum rate of fire until you run out of shells or are killed.

During the Chechen separatist fighting two decades ago, the Russian Army sequentially sent several motor rifle regiments into Grozny, hoping to intimidate the locals into calming down, and they all got horribly shredded.
Doctrine and systems were not well adapted to MOUT, and Chechens are tough bastards. Some of them having been previously blooded in Afghanistan.
Ivan finally just gave up on entering, pulled up the self-prop heavy artillery a few klicks outside the city limits, and started in with the fire missions. They had no forward observers to speak of. They just assumed for purpose of planning that everyone still alive inside the city was an enemy and they were going to treat that city as though it were Berlin in 1945.
And despite the lack of accuracy, there wasn't much left of Grozny when the Russians finally decided they were done.
The Chechens weren't doing any (or much) counterbattery fire. But still, it shows that when the target is the size of a big metro area and there's no delicacy about civilian casualties and no real specificity in what's meant to be destroyed, that can be done.

Yeah, I can see the appreciation. There IS a kind of croosover. Band or solo? Eh... both, really. The old lineups may have had some metal chops (hence the overlap), but the band and AC solo were doing classic Cooper SONGS. And when you do MYO you get better tasting tobacco and it all ends up costing less than $1.50/pack. Of course, there is the time involved in making the cigarettes (but you can get a fully automatic injecter for $500, which, these days, is the equivalent of only 8 or 10 cartons of commercial cigarettes - or even less for the worse areas of the country).
I've been doing MYO for years. I love it. My favorites (Smokin' G tobacco, Premier tubes) cost me less than $1/pack - the tubes cost almost as much as the tobacco!

Ditto on the MYO. I've been doing it for nearly 10 years. I currently use Ohm Yellow, a Turkish blend, and various tubes. Yep, the cost is around $1 a pack. And they are better than commercially made, flavor wise.

Well, living in Alaska puts me and mine in that little asshat's crosshairs, and I'm not liking it one little bit. Of course, most of what gets sent will get shot down out of Kodiak, but there's always that chance that it comes right on in.
I grew up in the 60's and 70's with real time nuclear bomb drills, a la cold war. I'm not really happy to be back to that.
We need a Seal Team to go in and shitcan that little shitstain and give that hot mess back to the South.

I am firmly convinced that the genius of early Metallica was due to Mustaine's riffs + Cliff Burton's musical genius.
Their first three albums were genius, with Mustaine's waning influence intertwining with Burton's musical understanding and mastery.
Cliff Burton is why I took up the Bass Guitar.
"...and Justice for All" was a great album for a post-Burton Metallica (though the intentional muting of Newsted's bass was uncalled for). If they had continues on that vein, it would have been for the best.
Instead, they sold out and put out the Black Album. Don't get me wrong, I was in line to buy it at the record store when it came out, and many people reflexively waxed poetic about how it was so wonderful, but this big coming out on the wider music scene led to far worse things, and I've not bothered with them since.

Then the attack happens, and the second half descends into a charnel house of horror. It ends about ten years later, and civilization is simply *gone*.
The whole movie used to be on YouTube, but I couldn't find it when I looked the other night. There are just a few scenes here and there.

Last year I made a tabletop RPG based on the music of Botswana Heavy Metal Band "Skinflint".
I contacted them and they gave me their blessing to run RPGs based on their music, and even proffered multiple sources on Bantu mythology that they used for the writing of their own albums.
I noted in the mythology that rainbows were considered harbingers of evil and even included "rainbow snakes" as minor enemies in my tabletop RPG.
Their new album even has an entire track about these "Rainbow Snakes".
Don't get me wrong, I love Western based fantasy ("Goblin Slayer" novels by Kumo Kagyu being particularly good recent material), but I am so interested in something different. So, I enjoy exploring such things.

It was definitely a turning point, and their quality started declining, but they were so far above most people that their 2nd rate was as good as most bands best. And then they ran out of ideas completely.
Master of Puppets is still my favorite Metallica album, but I actually like some songs from Load and Reload. If that's heresy, I guess I'll just have to live with it.

Fallout depends on wind direction, and radiation levels drop rapidly the first week or two. The breakdown of civil society afterward is the bigger problem for the survivors. Assuming that all of the world's nuclear weapons are detonated the first day. One or two here, one or two there, over several months, is a different story entirely.

Anyone astute enough to read a graph can look at the Labor Participation Graph and see that since the year 2000 the rate has been in continual free-fall. That was the year China was awarded 'permanent' most favored trade status. Between 60,000 to 70,000 American factories disappeared in the next decade. Pennsylvania Senator Arlen Specter (I know - a moment of lucidity) famously predicted that trade with China would get out of hand and we would lose leverage over them.
We have lost leverage over them. Our calls to them to rein in Phat Boi have been largely ineffective.
I support a return to year-to-year review of China's trade status with the United States. Every US citizen and our Senators - who could write the legislation and deliver it to President Trumps desk - should support this effort.
