Shock: Same Media Outlets That Pushed Fusion GPS' "Research" to the Public Now Covering Up Fusion GPS' Work on Behalf of Mother Russia

As a well-informed military intel friend says: "It's an op. It was an op from the start."

The NYT, WaPo and CNN have all appeared disinterested in digging into Fusion GPS' shady ties. The three outlets have combined for zero articles mentioning Fusion GPS since Browder’s testimony, despite the explosive allegations contained within it.

The only mention of Fusion GPS on CNN after Browder's testimony on Thursday (and in the days since) came from Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham, who went out of his way in an interview Thursday morning to stress the seriousness of the matter, despite CNN asking zero questions about Fusion GPS.

"Fusion GPS was on the payroll, apparently, according to this guy of the Russian government. And I want to know what they did in terms of trying to compromise Donald Trump, who is now our president. So what should we learn from all of this? That the Russians were involved on both sides, they definitely tried to tip the scale against Clinton and for Trump. But the Fusion GPS organization that was trying to get the goods on Donald Trump was backed by the Russians," Graham said.

CNN reporter Manu Raju tried to steer Graham back to talking about Trump, asking a question about Donald Trump Jr., but Graham returned to the subject to emphasize just how grave he believed the Fusion GPS situation to be.

"The GPS, Fusion GPS situation, the guy's not coming. If we have to subpoena the people at Fusion GPS, we need to subpoena them. Because Mr. Browder has now accused them of -- working for the Russians," Graham said. "And at the end of the day, if that's true, the Democratic Party is working with somebody who was working with the Russians, whether they knew it or not."

CNN’s next question changed the topic to Attorney General Jeff Sessions.

Someone needs to remind these guys that it's called "the news business," not "the news friends."

I think that's merely an appearance. Trump had more things already out in the air (divorce bankruptcy etc.) There wasn't as much hidden dirt to throw at him (or the Ruskies would have.)

Clinton had more skeletons hidden (poorly hidden but still arguably so) and so more got "leaked" just as a matter of their being more back there.

Graham (being Graham) works backward and reaches the wrong conclusion from the evidence.

We're back to what the meaning of is, is. And all the head scratching, which that masterful speak caused. So simple, yet so complex. And there's not a politician alive who can articulate a coherent thought.

D.C. Exists to keep our heads spinning. My head is dizzy enough without your spinning, so F Off every damn one of you. No one in D.C. Gives a tinkers damn for the American people.

112 Also, the video of Sarah Huckabee pointing out how odd it was that not one single reporter had one damned question at all about Russia the day of this testimony.

So, when you game out that this was an op from the beginning, you have to ask "what was the purpose?"

But, you have to back up and ask, "why did they think this op would work?"

And that is very, very interesting. Either:
(1) They knew the smear would never be exposed
OR
(2) They actually believed the "pissing hookers" and other claims were real.

Which is most likely? The "and" I say.

You know, criminals mostly commit crimes because they don't think they'll get caught.

And, as far as I know, not one single media outfit has taken to calling the Fusion GPS document fake.

Isn't that odd?

They'll happily slap "discredited," "highly-edited," "critics say," "alleged," etc. etc., all day long on anything that paints the Dems as bad without any prompting.

But, here's an embarrassingly stupid and laughably fake set of allegations and not one has ever called it fake.

Kelly has spend his entire working life dealing with Chains of Command.

And rule 1 of maintaining Chain of Command is, anybody who tries to violate it is out the door, on the spot. Mooch bragged that he would be reporting to Trump directly. Not for long, he won't.

Kelly's next challenge is to take control of Kushner and Bannon's access. That's what Chain of Command is all about - and they probably realize that this quick bouncing of Mooch is a direct message to both of them.

Which Trump may have counted on, installing a friend and ally of Ryan to help move the Trump legislative agenda through the House. Just as Trump put Elaine Chao into a comfortable sinecure as SecTrans, to grease the skids with Chao's husband Mitch McConnell.

Then Lyin' Ryan routinely impeded the Trump agenda rather than furthering it, and Priebus proved incapable or unwilling to get that changed. Boom, he's gone. One wonders if Mrs. McConnell is next on the chopping block.

I don't have any animosity toward Priebus, he's just clearly a GOPe guy who was working to undermine and stop Trump.

Eh, maybe he was intended as a hatchet man but it still contributes to the "chaos in the White House" meme.

Yeah, but that's really irrelevant. I mean, it would matter if Trump was working harder to get congress to do what he wants and was running for reelection, but he's not. Its just something for the press to natter on about as things get done.

I fully expected this kind of turnover and stumbling from the president. He is not hiring professional, long-term politicians who've been in the system forever and know how to work it and the press really well. He's hiring people he thinks can get the job done no matter what it takes, and they're a bit raw at the press and dealing with politics. by next year I think things will be considerably more smooth and running well.

I say this not out of some admiration or support for Trump, I think he's a scuzzbag. I say so because its how his campaign was run. He stumbled several times, had to fire people but ended up running a well-oiled machine in short order. He's learning on his feet and seems to do it well.

343 Late last week I posted here that Tony Mooch wouldn't last a week. Many of you laughed at me.

This is what I posted yesterday -- I walk on water, don't I:

The Mooch started strong last week and I wanted to like him.

Then he went unhinged. He had a son earlier this week by the wife who served divorce papers on him later this week. Which may explain his rant to The New Yorker mid-week. Don't tell me this was planned. He embarrassed himself and Trump.

The Mooch's bigger issue is that a Chinese outfit with mysterious government connections, which Big US Banks won't deal with, wants to overpay for his business. The Mooch still needs the same kind of approval that Hillary got for that uranium sale -- which is why the Mooch hasn't officially joined the WH yet. And he wants favorable tax treatment that he's no longer entitled to. This is a scandal waiting to happen, and the Mooch didn't do himself (or Trump) any favors by making himself so hot so early.

I have a hard-on for this self-fellater because I'm a Bannon guy -- the Mooch is with Ivanka.

358 I suspect she got exactly what she wanted out of the relationship: half and perpetual child support and alimony.
__________________

Presumably he was smart enough to have a pre-nup, so she probably won't get half. He has three grown kids from his first marriage, and he was only married to the current wife for three years, so she'll probably get a set amount that's somewhere in the neighborhood of a few million (not counting the child support award, of course).

But don't feel sorry for her. The child support for two kids from a billionaire will be enough to keep her living large for a very long time.

She'll never be anybody's secretary again, that's for sure.

363 I'm not sure repeal of Obamacare is really on Trump's agenda but Ryan's utter failure to crack the whip and use any of the tools at his disposal to leverage votes certainly could count as impeding. In his position, Ryan can move people to different committees, withhold funding, block people from getting bills put to the floor, cut off speeches, etc.

366 Actually, from what I have read, Ryan is already blowing up the budget and talking about another continuing resolution.

Ryan has never been my favorite, especially when it comes to budgets. Remember he is the budget guru for the GOPe with ranking status on budget and ways and means for many years.

I know this will be an unpopular question, and I don't mean to point it to you, Furious George. Just in general. What did Priebus do that people have such animosity towards him?

____________

Just walked back in, Grammie. I painted with a broad brush, but I have always seen Priebus as GOPe personified, fair or unfair.

I thought Trump hired him as an olive branch to the Establishment. And I don't think it worked. Olive branches to that crowd are only used for kindling for the burnings at the stake.

Thoughts?

Posted by: JackStraw at July 31, 2017 02:57 PM (/tuJf)
=====================================

Look at what he's working on legislatively on a day to day basis. It's a lot of bullshit. He nibbles around the edges. He does not say the word "Trump" out loud. If he has, I have not seen it, heard it or read it. I would imagine the person third in line for the Presidency, in that President's same party, to be an outspoken advocate for Trump's agenda. Instead I see a lot of post-office-naming.

It would seem all conversations into and out of the WH and select administration officials are recorded by the Deep State apparatus and leaked out as needed.

Or everyone is doing what Comey did and memorandinzing everything that's done or said and leaking when needed.

8 years of the Obama lawlessness and not a single god damn leak Trump or his people so much as fart and the NY Times and Washington Post know it.

==========================I think Priebus was hired because he showed loyalty to Trump once Trump got the nomination. He did a lot of arm-twisting as RNC Chair to get the GOPers on board. He put in place a GOTV that worked. He never dissed Trump.

Was he the man for the job long-term? Maybe not. But I think he was a good transition person.

Yeah. He has good analysis, but since the election he's been wrong more often than not. Suggesting that the news of the FBI General Councel being under investigation for leaking is "stray voltage" and that Circa is a patsy for the deep state was the first time I looked at one of his articles and facepalmed. Sara Carter's one of the good guys. The frothing at the mouth hate for Cruz and others on the right in the Senate also gets tiresome. I don't like how he's trying to paint Sessions as a black hat. A boy scout, yeah. A black hat? That's retarded, sir.

She is easy to bribe and blackmail.
She has no principles and no loyalties outside herself.
And she's a well-known quantity.
Trump might actually care about the impact something has on America. He might do something without caring about the international media. Then again, he might do something because he likes ketchup. You don't know. He's something of a wildcard.

378 An "op", OK.

An "op" that requires a public square *soooooooo* dumbed down, that the absurd dossier, or vague talk about "hacking" an election, or the ridiculous idea that Moscow would prefer Trump are met with more than derisive smirks and dropped from discussion in a few hours.

And what is Graham basing his statement on about helping the Trump side? Let's see the "evidence".

And that every mention of election interference doesn't instantly result in an aggressive, vituperative harangue on the lack of election integrity in "blue" cities and states (with references to Wayne County MI, and the many other recent spectacular examples of obvious election lawlessness), when a "GOP" incumbent or official is asked about it, tells us everything we need to know about the effective intelligence and druthers of such mediocrities.

>>>How would that favor Russia?

Anything that weakens the US or limits US ability to form coalitions in opposition to Russia helps Russia.

Russia likely has the damning emails of Kankles, they would be used to blackmail her. She/it/slimebucket Kankles has already demonstrated a willingness to sell out her country for money: See Russian uranium deal, Slick Willie "speeches", stupid reset button, other past behavior. She is corrupt and everyone knows this, therefore she is a very easy one to manipulate.
Trump already has the money and the power and he has a love of country, he is a much more difficult one to sway the rooskie way. The idea that the Russians would prefer Trump over Cankles is preposterous.
