But recall his deputy, Rosenstein, is the guy who showed the appalling judgement and instincts by deciding a special counsel was warranted.

To investigate ..... something that didn't exist, as months of prior investigation had confirmed, and in which there was no apparent or likely criminal activity.

Rosenstein is just as much a problem as Sessions. And that remains the case even if Sessions stays.

So in the department that's most important to restoring integrity and rule of law, and defeating the lawless judiciary as it legislates and usurps executive power and generally shreds the constitution, we have a key operational deputy whose first big decision was absurdly poor.

Silence is not acceptable in this case - and anyway the case is so high profile, and already well understood by the public, and the perps are aware of their actions and liability, so I can see no reason *some* kind of info is not warranted.

Of course Trump's extraordinary tweets critical of Sessions, in which he specifically calls out lack of action on this front, makes one wonder if indeed *nothing* is happening there. Hard to believe, but that's the logic.

Actually, some real data forensic people looked at the files on WikiLeaks...

The date time stamps of the copies were intact.... it showed that they were transferred with East Coast Date Time stamps (not totally conclusive)....

BUT....

The speed at which the files transferred is impossible to do over the internet.... someone copied those files onto a local device... based on the elapsed time it took to copy all the files...
