Samantha Power Is Now a Key Figure in Unmasking Probe

She was the Ambassador to the UN. She wasn't an intelligence analyst and wasn't law enforcement.

She just didn't have any appropriate reason to be requesting the unmaskings she requested.

Power appears to be central to efforts by top Obama administration officials to identify individuals named in classified intelligence community reports related to Trump and his presidential transition team, according to multiple sources.

Power's role in this unmasking effort is believed to be particularly questionable given her position as the U.N. ambassador, a post that does not typically require such sensitive unmasking activities, according to former U.S. officials and other sources familiar with the matter.
"Unmasking is not a regular occurrence--absolutely not a weekly habit. It is rare, even at the National Security Council, and ought to be rarer still for a U.N. ambassador," according to one former senior U.S. official who spoke to the Washington Free Beacon.

"That's just not the sort of thing that she should have been concerned about, unless she was playing the role of political operative with the help of the intelligence community," [a] source said. "It gives away what was actually going on: the Obama administration was operating in a pervasive culture of impunity and using the intelligence community against their political opponents."

Me too, but we sort of all ready are. Part of winning is actually winning and we are winning all over the country. Deportations are up, illegals coming in are way, way down. The media is at its lowest point in public opinion maybe ever. Polling is showing that a majority of Republican voters, the people who actually pay for their kids schooling, don't think college is worth it anymore. The media isn't reporting it but ISIS is being crushed because we are actually fighting them and we are retaking our place on the world stage as the guy with the biggest pair.

Liberalism is being exposed everywhere and people are rejecting it. I want to see these assholes punished but what I really want is liberalism to die. We are definitely on the right path at last.

275 The original ending to Watchmen was absurd. Giant squids may have been a fine catastrophe for the 80's, but just comes across as camp outside of Lovecraftian settings now. I think the change worked fine and does well enough at establishing an external threat as an impetus for peace.

I agree the soundtrack to the movie was awful, but I think the film was okay aside from that. I'd say it's worth watching for Rorschach alone.

I wasn't fan on DJT, but preferred him over Mrs. Clinton.
Jeff Sessions spoke with DOJ before recusing himself. DJT hasn't the appreciation of Sessions & what his endorsement of him did for him.

I'm very disappointed in Trump for doing same as his precedessor & throw people under the bus. DJT has a childish nature & he is vindictive. I expected he'd be an orange version of The JEF.

288 The republican names in this story will do nothing. Sessions is spineless and doing the exact opposite of what he should be doing... Gowdy is about as useless as a screen door in a submarine.
