House Passes Kate's Law

Rather than attacking people like us, the TruCon Crying Eagle Brigade should just thank us for electing a Republican president while they were busy cheerleading for Hillary.

Neil Gorsuch and Kate's Law? You're welcome, "TruCons."

illegal immigrant crackdown
Published June 29, 2017 Fox News

NOW PLAYING
Congress gets another chance to pass Kate's Law
House Republicans took action Thursday to crack down on illegal immigrants and the cities that shelter them.

One bill passed by the House would deny federal grants to sanctuary cities and another, Kate’s Law, would increase the penalties for deported aliens who try to return to the United States.

Kate's Law, which would increase the penalties for deported aliens who try to return to the United States and caught, passed with a vote of 257 to 157, with one Republican voting no and 24 Democrats voting yes.

Dealing with illegal immigration is infinitely more important than dealing with Obamacare.

Because if we don't do something about the former, we have 0% chance of dealing with the latter. If we do something about immigration, at least then we'll have a 1% of repeal.

Illegal immigration is probably just a civil offense, even if they by-pass inspection points. The collateral customs and agricultural violations may be a felony. But nobody talks about that.

Bypassing immigration should be a felony, evidence of guilt not having an immigration stamp in yer passport. One year first offense. Two years second offense, four for the third, eight years for the forth, sixteen for the fifth offense, 32 for the sixth offense. That is a total of 63 years. No probation.

They did have those laws. They were in the treaties they signed with various colonists. Which treaties got broke (by which side, and how, is disputed). Which ended up in some vicious frontier wars and massacres.

See Prop. 8's "defense" in court by the pro-faggot AG Jerry Brown in front of the faggot judge. Brown (appropriate) went into the tank, essentially arguing ... nothing, while the pro-faggot forces produced lots of social "science" (/spit) supporting their contention that getting nailed in the squeaker was normal, healthy, and the basis of decent society. The faggot judge said that the normal people had failed to provide any "scientific" evidence for their perspective (as though social "science" would ever be mistaken for real science).

This is... I know its awful sounding but look, Indian tribes on the whole lived a crappy life. You starved in the winter, had raids killing people in the summer you had almost no medicine, very little music, no literature, you lived in a hut or hide tent on the dirt, and were essentially stone age tribesmen.

How its such a ghastly horror to have more advanced, technological, intellectually capable people come and lift you out of that crappy existence I will never comprehend. Its like people think Star Trek is real or something. Look, if aliens showed up with flying cars and teleportation and cures for cancer and slave robots and space travel, I wouldn't spend five seconds deciding they had a better deal.

What kind of idiot clings to their crappy miserable existence in the face of vast improvement? Just having a damned floor was an upgrade. Metal knives were a wonder to these people.

You say "Well that was weird and dumb," and then get on with your life. That doesn't hurt Trumps game at all. He doesn't need you (or me) to like him as a person, really.

But his childish tweets are bouncing around the rhetorical rubble that is online political discourse in America, and making the booger-eating troglodytes out there feel disoriented and angry and "unsafe" while he runs around stealing all their marbles while they're not looking.

Also, look who he targets: Fundamentally silly people. People who deserve childish derision. It's the techniques and tactics of a schoolyard bully, but his targets deserve it, and hell...it works.

Well for the plains tribes, there wasn't much to build a wheel out of. Two sticks you can get, but a wheel requires more materials to work. 216 Normally, in this situation, the strategy is pretty simple.

You have overwhelmingly popular policies you're trying to advance/enact (ending "sanctuary" lawlessness, and preventing preventable mayhem by serial illegal invaders). You are short of 60 in the Senate.

So, you identify the votes you need to get to 60 - R and D - who are up for re-election next cycle and, depending on the state, you make sure they know they will be absolutely lashed with bailing wire to their votes on this. Then, you sweat them (and look for ways to bribe them).

Oh - and this includes appropriations votes later on, which will also feature the same sorts of policies in the forms of amendments, in committee and on the floor.

"Normally". This time, first time I'm aware of in my life, you have leadership and m,ajor elements of even the majority party who aren't really enthused about this sane and wildly popular set of policies.

Hope that the WH's hitherto invisible leg liason operation kicks into high gear on this. If this sort of stuff doesn't, in the end, get passed, Trump will be (fairly) judged a failure, WRT the key issues that made him president. More importantly, given all that's happened, it would signal "the end" for serious efforts to not just stabilize the patient, but embark on a recovery path.

Yeah. When it comes down to it, one of the really few things I think is honest and real about Trump is his genuine love for America. He really, truly cares. There's just no way he'd put up with all the crap he has for any other reason. The guy he most reminds me of is Herbert Hoover, who did everything in life, up to saving the lives of hundreds of thousands of starving people WWI, made his fortune.. then said "well my nation needs me" and became president.

Its been a long time since we've had a president who loves us, the American people, more than anything else.

Trump nominated a witty textualist to replace a witty textualist. One for one. No real change in the Court's balance.

But what now happens if Kennedy retires, or if someone in the Supreme Court death pool kicks off? Does Trump try to select an ideological match, as he did with the departed Scalia, to preserve balance, or does he go right?)

All the things we demand of them, to be impartial and accurate, they could not do if they wanted to. There is something vaguely cruel about that. But hey they must know ... or they should know they are being complained to by people with more natural ability to work in their industry.

In season 19 of South Park (one with continuity) there is a little girl who can instantly distinguish between an article and an advertisement made to look like an article. Scientists study her miraculous ability.

I was not an early Trump supporter and despite happily voting for him and being very pleased with what he's done so far I do think he goes to far at times. Like today.

But I have absolutely zero doubt now he is going as hard right as he can with policy and appointments. It's the only direction he's got now and he's going to ride it hard. There is no sense at all going moderate or left, he won't ever win their support no matter what he does.

He's not about balance, he's about putting heads on pikes.

That remains to be seen. When he took office, I was sure that we had someone less bad than Hillary, but who'd be pretty much a Bill Clinton clone in terms of policy. But each time the left spits on him, he marks them down in that black book in his head and never, ever forgets. I think he does half the stuff he does now in terms of policy just to spite them.

310 How about going commando under a terry cotton bath towel kilt?
Posted by: Burnt Toast at June 29, 2017 09:51 PM (4ipcM)

No. But there is something very sexy about naked under jeans.

311 Well for the plains tribes, there wasn't much to build a wheel out of. Two sticks you can get, but a wheel requires more materials to work. And then you have to figure out at least a rudimentary bearing, or its not gonna last long. That takes materials that you can't weave out of grass and buffalo poop.

People in the Old World did it millennia earlier. The Egyptians had the wheel ca. 3000 BC.

312 Trump does not give a single rusty fuck what ANYBODY thinks about him.

Except us. The "We the People" people.

I get choked up when I think about it.

313 I want to print up ten thousand form letters of resignation beginning with the classic words, "I didn't leave the party, the party left me" and space for them to write about their Principles and Honor for 8000 self-pleasuring words like they're wont to do.
Then gather them up and accept their resignations. And then never see them again, except for the backs of them as they leave.
Fuck them all.

Good on you Ace.

314 Goddamn it. I know I left my stray voltage generator here... or I thought I did. Right friggin here. I'm sure I did. I can see where there's Now there's onl slightly less dust in the corner where I left it last.

Mooochelle?? Have you done something with my generator?...

Wait a minute what's this?
A hair.
A single hair.
Not human, or possibly human.
Like some sort of golden weasel....

315 I love that Mika was insulted twice for her low IQ and that she'd had a face lift. All that in a short tweet...after months and months of her whinging and freak outs about President Trump. Alluding to his mental state. Alluding to her great fear.

I don't watch any of this crap, but I did see a few short videos of her spit balls.

She can dish it but can't take it...yet probably thinks she is a women's libber. waaaaaaaa!

Then there's that photo of her sticking her leg up in the air like a dog after a fire hydrant (who, I assume, is Joe of the Mystery Dead Intern). They rate among the lowest of the low in viewers, so this probably gave them a few more.

From now on people will note if she has a low IQ and/or a face lift scar. This is how he rolls...either deal or get out of his way.

The only unfortunate deal was taking CNN off the news, but whatever. I think there is at least one more video of their muh Russia.

316 Sorry. Posted on wrong place. Bite moi.

I do love that Kate's Law finally passed. I do love that, while the media focuses on !Russia! and !mean tweets! that, tonight, the Travel Ban goes into effect.

I do love that illegals are down 70% on the border.

I do love that some are self-deporting.

I do love that many MS-13 barbarians are off the streets vs cutting off limbs and raping girls.

I do love that President Trump is causing all sorts of liberal minds to melt under cover of tweets.

I also love that, very often, his tweets lead to bigger things not seen.

I do love that Rice and Podesta are in the hot seat.

I do love that over 1000 pedophiles were rounded up in the last few months.

I do love that I feel safe again with President Trump and Sec Mattis and other adults at the table.

Have a happy and safe Independence Day and weekend...and never take freedom for granted. xoxo
