Political Violence From the Left Continues Garnering Zero Condemnation in Leftist Media

You can find my condemnation of Greg Gianforte's bodyslam right next to CNN's condemnation of the professor charged with three accounts of attacking peaceful Trump supporters -- with a bike lock. Which is a heavy metal improvised weapon.

Berkeley police have arrested a former Diablo Valley College professor for committing an assault during the protests that took place this April. During the protest, violence broke out between supporters of President Trump and far-left anarchists who brand themselves "Antifa," many of whom were clad in black and wore full face masks to conceal their identities.

East Bay Times reports that 28-year-old Eric Clanton was arrested Wednesday evening in Oakland and is currently being held on a $200,000 bail in Berkeley City Jail. He was arrested on suspicion of three counts of assault with a deadly weapon, including a U-lock bike lock, a weapon he is alleged to have used to seriously injure three people at the protest.

Note the three attacks hit the victim in the neck or head -- which is the target point which could kill someone with a steel bludgeon -- and also note that it does not appear to be the cops or the media which ferreted out this guy's identity, but 4chan.

Apparently the media couldn't give any fucks about it, and still doesn't.

You can also find my scathing rebuke of violence by the right next to CNN's denunciations of the mob attackers at Middlebury College, at least one of whom participated in an attack on a woman causing her enough injury to need a neck brace.

Oh, and you can also find my denunciation in the same common repository in which CNN scolds Middlebury for promising to punish the violent felons, but then not really punishing them at all.

Many are on temporary probation, with notation of that probably expunged from their record if they don't re-offend for the rest of the semester (that is, until like last week), and others have a notation in their file. This, too, I imagine will never be disclosed to anyone, due to privacy concerns -- so what's the point of a notation?

If students know they won’t be punished for violent and childish behavior, why would they stop?

One wonders if conservative students disrupting, say, a Linda Sarsour or Bill Ayers speech in similar fashion would receive such light sentencing. They certainly wouldn’t receive such a muted response from the mainstream media.

No one can identify the person who caused the injury to the female prof's neck -- but perhaps they're not looking all that hard, as they didn't seem to look very hard into the bike lock attacks in Berkley.

Maybe a job for 4chan again, to do the investigatory work the police and media aren't interested in.

Apparently Ben Jacobs tweeted a couple years ago:

At the time Benji was 16.

Perhaps Ben should ask what percentage of Montanans wanted to body slam him?

Only 'improvised' in the sense that it's not normally a weapon. It was not improvised, per se, given that it was planned to be used as a weapon, like their sign poles and flag staffs.

They arrived armed. They are not responding to provocation, they are arriving with the intent of perpetrating violence.

Yeah, my field is barren on this, particularly since this wasn't a case of political violence but a case of someone being an utter asshole discovering that such actions have real world consequences apart from getting a sick burn on twitter.

As I understand it, it wasn't the content of the questions that led to the alleged beat down but the fact that the Guardian loser boy burst into the room and began shoving his phone in the guy's face. Is Lou Dobbs, who tut-tutted against the ranchers for 'violence', rethinking his stance? As much as I enjoy Laughing Lou (and he is overall sympathetic to the land protesters), I think he may rethink his original stance, especially since the only body count is one of the protesters who is absolutely identified rather than the faceless federales.

The only body count on the stupid and criminal 'anTEEfa' (as my kid tells me it is pronounced) has been regular citizens who don't agree with either their tactics or their politics.

If the Philly police were instructed to say not report to the feds that someone on the FBI most wanted list was arrested because he was friends with the Philly mayor....and that guy committed further crimes..wouldn't the Philly mayor be charged?

I don't care anymore.

'Cos all I want of you is just a let me be.
I don't care anymore D'you hear? I don't care no more

I don't care what you say
I never did believe you much anyway.

I won't be there no more
So get out of my way.
Let me by

87 The slo-mo video of the bike lock attack reveals in clear detail the exact military rules of engagement that Antifa uses -- which is basically codified cowardice.

In this attack, and in every other Antifa attack, there is a front wall of black-clad Antifa "protesters," whose job it is to HIDE the actual attacker, who is invariably in every attack in the second row, hidden, who then then briefly lunges forward between the shield-bodies in front of him and attacks/hits/pepper-sprays the target, before immediately recoiling back into the crowd and slipping away, re-hidden by his comrades, who then claim, "We didn't do it!"

They are so despicable.

Political systems are put in place to resolve conflict through ways outside of violence. That's what elections, distribution of power to different political offices, and laws are all about.

If one side is allowed to use violence without response from the state, the state itself is invalid and will either become a tyranny associated with that one side or...removed.

A doctor I know says that the real problem with PCP is not intentional self-harm but unintentional tearing of the muscles. Basically, PCP completely anesthetizes all muscular pain, while at the same time making you frantic and aggressive, so people on PCP will run around trying to lift cars, pick up large appliances and throw them out the window, punch cement walls, try to tear-apart chain-link fences, etc. etc., -- all these actions which absolutely shred your muscles and snap your tendons, but you don't feel it while it's happening, so you just continue. Then, later, when the PCP wears off, you discover that you've torn/popped/sprained/destroyed every muscle and ligament in your body. Often with permanent damage.

Whats fun is that the Covered California system is failing because it:

1. does not pay Doctors enough....

2. The nit picking on the paperwork and slow reimbursement means Doctors don't get the little money they are owed....

More than half the Doctors here will not take insurance from Covered California... yet California will go single Payer?

And how does it work with those of us who have EARNED our Heath Insurance through retirement? or through our jobs? or the Military?

F*ck 'em. They can't fold fast enough to suit me. I darkened their door for the last time back before Thanksgiving when I'd ordered something from sears dot com and picked it up at a "Sears Hometown" store while I was traveling, and when I went to return it at a Sears in the mall they told me they couldn't accept it because the "Hometown" stores are independently operated. I talked to the manager and everything, and he wouldn't budge. I explained to him the finer points of ordering the thing from sears f*cking DOT COM, and he didn't care. Told me to drive two hours to return a $12 sawblade.

I told him I'd been a Craftsman man my entire life, from tool-chests to lawnmowers to air compressors, but that he'd cost the brand and store my business over a sawblade that cost less than two people going to McDonalds. He scoffed and I told I understood why his store couldn't turn the lights on before 11am on weekdays after the ear-piercing and pretzel kiosks have been open for an hour already, and I wished him the best of luck at his next job.

244 Whats fun is that the Covered California system is failing because it:
1. does not pay Doctors enough....
2. The nit picking on the paperwork and slow reimbursement means Doctors don't get the little money they are owed....
More than half the Doctors here will not take insurance from Covered California... yet California will go single Payer?

272 A means whereby a blank key with a sharpened edge is used to get an
'impression' the tumblers in your lock. It's a bit tedious, but works
for ordinary tumbler locks.
---
kinda like that.

you take a key blank, lock it into a set of vice grips, then, with a very fine tooth metal file, smooth/polish the top surface that goes in the lock.

put the key in, turn it until the pins engage, then gently rock the key up and down.

the pins should leave marks, which you then file down a bit, then repeat the process until you can turn the lock.

used to w*rk on all sorts of car locks, back when i did repo in the mid-80s.

i imagine you could do the same with most home lock units, but it ain't happening with a Medco.

Totten no longer covers the middle east.
