I think it's a gratuitous slur that, in respect to Petraeus, McCarthy says that he "shared his classified diaries with a single person, a paramour" (A PARAMOUR!!!), while in respect to Hillary, he refers to "Clinton's close confidant, Huma Abedin." Why assert the sexual relationship? It's not her legal identity.

That makes sense actually. Some tunes sound difficult, but aren't. Some tunes sound easy, but are almost impossible to get the tone right. Very deceptive. When I hear someone say it's an "easy song" to play they usually suck at it. Someone omce said "more than two chords is just showin' off". LOL

136 I started taking guitar lessons when I was 12. Played in a teenage band and later semi-professionally in a few groups. My last band petered out in the mid-oughts after cutting a pretty damn good CD.

One of the hardest tunes I ever taught myself was this one, "Vibuthi" by Ozric Tentacles. The main riff which starts at :55 is one hell of a nasty bitch. It sounds "pretty hard" but not "almost impossibly hard" until you go to play it and find your fingers all tangled up in knots. I spent an inordinate amount of time getting it down, and then getting it down as fast as he played it, but it was definitely worth the effort since it became a go-to showoff piece for me that's always a hit.

137 The truly unhinged left.

Two conservative journalists have sparked outcry on social media by making what some have interpreted as a white supremacist hand symbol at a recent visit to the White House.

"White power!!!!!!! Except I'm Puerto Rican. Can it be PR power?!" she tweeted.

Ms Fairbanks' supporters point out that the hand symbol is also used to mean "OK."

The story is on Yahoo (surprise) it really is just two people making the okay sign. But according to the left:

The resurgence of the symbol may be traced back to a popular alt-right meme, known as "smug Pepe," which began circulating on alt-right, pro-Trump message boards in 2015. Mr Trump often uses the symbol when speaking, explaining its significance with the president's supporters.

The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) characterises the symbol as a "racist hand sign."

The congress has enormous power, and essentially none of this nonsense of the last few decades was even remotely necessary. They have the power to impeach, the power to advise and consent, and even to enjoin persons from ever holding federal office again. They can even throw people in jail. The Lord knows there are plenty of folks who need it. They have the "power of the purse" as it were. When was the last time in living memory have they done any of this?

And yet they can't, or won't, defund an organization selling baby parts. It's beyond bizarre. The response to the courageous folks who expose these atrocities? The left wants to arrest the whistleblowers. Can't make this shit up.

"Who am I, that the Lord of all the earth
Would care to know my name -
Would care to feel my hurt?
Who am I, that the bright and morning star
Would choose to light the way
For my ever wandering heart?

Whom shall I fear? Whom shall I fear?"

Have a great day, everyone!

176 I was reading on another board that the cause of this morning's scrub was a LOX tank temperature sensor on the first stage. They have to detank the vehicle and lower it to horizontal in order to replace it. That's why they scrubbed immediately even though they had a two-hour launch window.

They might be able to try again tomorrow morning, or it could take longer. I guess they won't know until they get it apart. Still, even the possibility of them being able to do all that in 24 hours is pretty impressive.

178 So the Fed raised interest rates expecting growth in the 3 percent range and actual Q1 growth was .7 percent.

Please lower the interest rate people.

I had a car come off lease and the manufacturer didn't want it back and didn't want to manufacturer its replacement. Six months of foot dragging. Something is definitely happening in the automotive marketplace.

I gotta wonder if Uber and Lyft are putting the screws to demand.

179 Stills voice, alas, isn't what it once was. He talks like he had a stroke. One thing, I don't expect a lot of our guitar heroes to be around much longer. Snorting truckloads of coke and JD was probably a lot of fun, but it takes a toll. They hoped to die before they got old, right?

Yup....I always liked Stephen Stills, teeth and all. Wonder if he ever got them fixed.

So badly chewing nuts or ice cubes
I am toothless

186 Hm, you may have a point. Have you tried listening to Keef interviews though? Jeeze Louise. I gotta hand it to the guy, he doesn't GAF. I like how he just finishes a sentence by just mumbling... Scary thing is, I can understand him.

188 Booze and pills and powders, you can choose your medicine
Well here's another goodbye to another good friend

189 James is a great guy and a great artist, but his politics are stuck in Sixties amber. I stopped getting my politics from rock stars long ago, but can appreciate the artistry on the Human Condition and tune out the politics.

The embarrassment wasn't really JT's self-conscious performance, but that John Kerry was too busy to attend the Charlie Hebdo parade because he was making excuses for the terrorists who conducted the attacks. And that comes straight from Obama.

Crosby, however is an egomaniac. When Henley and Glenn Frey wrote "We haven't had that spirit here since 1969", Crosby took it personally--"I AM 1969!" Dude.

He just went after the Nuge because "I AM the spokesman for Rock and Roll!" When you get into a Twitter War with Ted saying "I can out-think you any day!", it only proves that no, you can't.

And, David--give that 15-yr. old kid his beanie back. He can't play Hacky-Sack without it.
