Liberal Pollster Tweets, Falsely, That Trump Didn't Go to Church on Easter Sunday; Refuses To Delete False Tweet, Saying It "Wasn't Factually Inaccurate" When Posted

He claims the tweet, which was factually inaccurate, wasn't factually inaccurate. Because even though Trump did go to Easter service in Palm Beach, it wasn't on Trump's official Sunday schedule as released at around 8am.

But he did go. There are pictures and everything.

Citing the well-known all-purpose excuse "Eh, the hypocrisy still stands," he refused to take the tweet down -- a false claim which had been retweeted 32,000 times and favorited 63,000 times.

The #FakeNews is still up as of 6pm on Monday.

Speaking of #FakeNews, the Blue Checkmark Mafia got itself into a lather over video of Trump signing some kid's MAGA hat and then, rather than giving it back to the kid, throwing it into the crowd.

Except he didn't. He threw it back right to the kid, who was apparently a few people back (deep) on the rope line, as this video shows:

I keep expecting these hysterical children to tire themselves out, but their energy seems to be constantly refreshed by an endless supply of SunnyD and hatred.

Posted by: Grump928(C)

Yes -- exactly.

Shaving pubic hair is now so commonplace among porn actresses, that the very concept of "natural hair down there" has become classified as a niche fetish. "Hairy crotch" does exist as a porn catgogry, but you have to search for amongst all the most freaky alt-fetishes -- even though just 25+ years ago ALL porn was "hairy crotch" porn.

I disagree. I've seen so many of Trump's speeches where he invokes God in a sincere and comfortable way. There's nothing contrived about his God patter. I've concluded his is a believer in the Christian God. Does he keep holy the Sabbath? I don't know if he's a regular church goer. But as so many will tell you, church attendance doesn't always correlate with belief in Christian principles.

Real men have doubts, fakes pretend to be able to walk on water and convince many they are the real deal. Trump is no such pretender. Some of the most brutal and the biggest pretenders ... by their fruits you shall know them. Trump is (more than many pretenders, like the pope?) combatting some very big evils.

IIRC there are some illustrious Christian personalities who led extremely un-Christlike lives, but then changed for the better.

St. Augustine comes to mind. The Christian faith is founded on the principle of redemption. I don't know if every person on earth is redeemable, but Trump doesn't strike me as a bad actor.

I'm inclined to think Trump-while not as much of a person on religious faith as Mike pence seems to be-has a much deeper appreciation for Christianity than Obama ever has or will. At least, unlike Obama, Trump has spoken out against the slaughter of Christians.

No, they were referring to Yvette Felarca, a teacher at MLK Middle School in Berkeley who spends all her class hours instructing her students (in a public school!) to "kill Nazis" and to join her group "By Any Means Necessary" and has even taken them on field trips to "Nazi-punching" rallies. She's been arrested many times for assaulting people she defined as "Nazis."

She was fired, but so many parents rallied for her reinstatement that she got her job back!

She may have been at the rally, but she is in her 40s or 50s -- she's not miss Moldylocks.

Probably about 50% of all Berkeley Antifa members are graduates of Yvette Felarca's 8th-grade class, which is pure indoctrination.

110 Attending church has little to do with Christian faith, or with being a good "Christian" person. There is a strong parallel with the PC left's cultural Marxist religion and the religious "fascism" in "the Christian Church".

Remember ... when Jesus came around "the church" was run by the Pharisees who JC said were of their father the devil. Power Corrupts.

Paul ended up in prison and said all those that had followed him had left him, except a few he named. "The Church" of the Nicene Creed won over pagan followers by adopting many of their religious codes, such as sunrise services to worship the rising (face the East) sun, and triune gods of Ashtar (why do you think we call resurrection day (really happened Saturday at sunset) "EASTER"?

I really tire of good people being condemned for not submitting to religious doctrine that has nothing to do with Biblical texts, and hypocritical Peyton Place type churches. Christians tend to be good, but church power structures very easily go evil.

I agree that church attendance doesn't correlate directly to strict adherence. Of course Christ said where 2 or 3 gather, He is there.

With that said, for those that contend one need not attend services to worship, I haven't always found that they worship on their own or gather with two or three either.

Of the many bad habits in life, I would not count routine attendance of worship services among them.

true ... as I said, Christians tend to be good, the power structure tends to corrupt.

First century they met in homes. The tribal thing of the OT perhaps outlived its usefulness?

It is a developing thang for me, but power corrupts, and the founders had the same right idea with government ...power to the people via decentralized government, as local as possible. Same with the church ... let the family maintain power ... group for defensive purposes as needed? Yet the larger structures are useful, but can't be allowed to control (fascism).

Each family leader should study the Bible, and the constitution. (study to show thyself approved unto God) But socializing into some groups on some levels is somehow what constitutes a free society. All the nations of Europe post WW2 are an example of that perhaps ... or all the states that colonized and formed a republic. Bigger social structures ... local control.

197 "EPA chief wants us to exit Paris Climate Treat[y]"

Ain't a treaty. Never was.

It was an "executive agreement", thus described by the Obama White House because they knew they'd get handed their hats if they took it over to the Hill for legislative approval.

What Trump absolutely needs to do is dust off the text of the agreement, and send it over to the Senate, saying, hey, my predecessor left behind this proposed unratified treaty. I don't think you guys should ratify it, but you can if you really want to. Have a vote.

Then, after it goes down to a predictable defeat, just stop complying with the Paris terms Obama agreed to.

Vote YES on the climate treaty proposal, and the blue-collar workers in energy extraction jobs will move further away from the Democrats and towards the Trump vector.

Yet what do ALL churches call that day (in submission)?

They call it EASTer.

What does facing EAST have to do with Christ Arose (on Saturday night)?

Much of Christian tradition (not the real writings, thank the scribes we still have some of those) is submission ... to the PC demands of paganism.
Christmas tree on winter solstice day (Jesus born probably September), Easter bunnies of fertility, SUNday the first day of the week, not the Sabbath 7th day when God rested.

I agree.

Martin Luther was empowered for a reason, in my opinion, that the Lord's revealed word would be accessible for all, in part because the organized "church" used relics and Scripture to wield authority in the same fashion that Israelites wielded the Ark in 1st Samuel.

It's for reasons you stated that I virulently oppose statements like "I want my child to find their own way". As parents/families when we hide the Truth we know under a bushel basket and defer to society the blood is on our hands.

It's of little consequence whether that society is non-Scriptural church organizations or secular humanists, deferring authority to an organization is a pitfall when everyone has been readily afforded the Truth.

With that said, the are still organizations that draw their doctrine from Scripture, though sadly they are fewer and further between and many are floundering in a time of false teaching.

Unless you have completely ceased believing in God, to go to church is not hypocritical. Don't you think there are any number of people there who are struggling, angry, disappointed in God. In fact, in bigger churches you may find men's group where people are going through extremely difficult times and are a support to one another.

259 But Constantine didn't make Christianity the official state religion. He kept funding the Roman pagan temples for instance. At most he tolerated the religion and sponsored synods to get the Christians to agree on what "Christianity" meant.

It would be like, say, Dubya trying to get all the imams in America to define Islam. (Which he didn't do, although I recall him musing on a pan-Judaeo-Christian Ten Commandments text.)

We really don't lend much credence to that particular Sunday, because we largely understand that worship services were moved from the Sabbath to Sundays to allow the celebration of the resurrection to be celebrated all year.

--There are plenty of things not in the canonical Bible Christians overwhelmingly believe, if not incorporated into doctrine.

Nowhere in the Bible is it explicitly affirmed that Jesus was celibate, but only fringe types like Dan Brown think otherwise.

268 I don't think Trump's religious. He's a believer by default, but he respects strong believers. Back after the evangelicals endorsed him he made a point of saying that he probably didn't deserve it. I think that humility bought him some respect in return. He may not be one of them, but he will help them and defend them.

275 Yet what do ALL churches call that day (in submission)?

They call it EASTer.

What does facing EAST have to do with Christ Arose (on Saturday night)?

Much of Christian tradition (not the real writings, thank the scribes we still have some of those) is submission ... to the PC demands of paganism.
Christmas tree on winter solstice day (Jesus born probably September), Easter bunnies of fertility, SUNday the first day of the week, not the Sabbath 7th day when God rested.

There are many many more (believe me, believe me) ... unquestioned unBiblical traditions. How did Christianity adopt those pagan traditions? Why do so few even ASK?

Sunday is the sabbath because that is when Christ rose from the dead and when the Holy Spirit came down on Pentacost.

Easter is called that because of the rising sun - probably a poetic name for the dawn.

Christmas is not on the Winter Solstice, but a couple of days after it.

Christmas is celebrated in the winter because the early Christians bought into the Jewish belief that prophets always died on the day they were conceived, and December 25 is approximately nine months after Easter. Augustine and Jerome discussed this back in the 4th century, IIRC.

Easter bunny is pagan, I guess, though I've never seen anyone link it to a specific tradition (like the christmas tree, which is often SAID to be pagan but no one ever produces actual evidence thereof).

Also, I doubt anyone was worshipping the bronze Near Eastern goddess Ashtoreth in Europe in the 4th century AD. Nor was she triune that I know of.

I'm aware that (ignorant) people today don't view these things in true historical context of their pagan (or cultic tradition, call it what you will). But the point is why maintain a tradition that has a false meaning? It is as much a contrived "false narrative" as the NY Times commie "false narrative" and should be removed. Stop promoting it.

If Easter bunnies and Christmas trees are necessary to promote the beliefs ... they are doing it wrong ... that's not how this works, that's not how any of this works. It works for the pagans/cultists for completely different reasons ... often for anti-Christian reasons.

But those things have become "The Brand" much as the PC branding of multiculturalism or open borders. It is an infiltration that dilutes the "Truth", as I see it.

Downplay it at our peril.

288 Illiniwek,

If you want anyone to take you seriously, you might want to start getting the basic facts straight.

Incidentally, the last argument I read for a Saturday sabbath spent 3/4 of its length talking about the symbolic significance of the word 'et in Hebrew, drawing heavily on Kabbalistic tradition, and conveniently neglecting to mention that the word 'et, not translated in modern English, is in fact a grammatical marker indicating the direct object. Literally Hebrew 101, but our erudite author was either ignorant of the most basic principles of grammar or was counting on the ignorance of his readers. Not something that makes me at all sympathetic to that argument.

291 Sunday is the sabbath because that is when Christ rose from the dead and when the Holy Spirit came down on Pentacost." grey fox

Saturday is obviously the Sabbath ... ask any Jew, or Seventh Day Adventist. (Sabado is Saturday in Spanish). Orthodox Jews observe the Sabbath which for them (and all Biblical times Christians) begins at sunset Friday and ends sunset Saturday.

The winter solstice is a big pagan thing ... obviously what "Christmas" was all about, regardless of what your friends discussed in the fourth century. They were off a few days maybe ... or maybe the calendars are off a few days from their celebration which was more accurately recognized by the sun and shadows.

In any case ... why a Mass for Christ on his supposed birthday?

292 Hey - if there's a law against allowing hypocrites in church, we'd all be on the outside looking in. Hypocrite means what? Not living up to a certain standard? Not always acting out what you say you believe? Anybody here ever been a parent? If you applied the same "I'm a hypocrite - I can't do this" to parenting, there'd be a lot of orphans.

The question is not, is Sabbath on Saturday or is it on Sunday. The question is, do you observe a Sabbath? Do you set aside one day out of seven to focus on the Lord and give Him glory? Do you rest and enjoy His creation?

I get my religious advice from Christians, thanks.

Not real familiar with Augustine of Hippo, I see. Nor with early Church history and its downright obsessive preoccupation with getting the calender correct. Nor with the time-keeping skills of late Antiquity.

In any case ... why a Mass for Christ on his supposed birthday?

To Christ...They had masses all the time, Sundays, Saints' days, other landmark days (like Candlemass...). This particular one was on Christ's birthday, or at least the day that his birth was celebrated - Augustine and Jerome were quite aware that it wasn't his real birthday, and since Augustine was and still is the single most influential Christian theologian, I think that knowledge was kept alive.

296 I might point out that most of these questions you claim are never asked we discussed in Sunday school as a kid, or, at latest, in Doctrine 101 in college (granted, I had Dr. Henry Krabbendam - nothing like having a six-hour-long mid-term exam in which I was expected to know the basics of various 6th century Christological debates and answer questions like "In which way resemble the Catholics and Lutherans Eusebius?")
