Talk about a fucked up situation. I can understand how twins separated at birth or while young have joy at being reunited, but that's definitely not the case here. Honestly, I can't imagine the things going through this married couple's minds.

Couple finds out they are biological twins during IVF treatment

A married couple who struggled to conceive only discovered they were twins when they went through IVF.

The unnamed couple underwent the treatment to help them have a baby.

But doctors at the fertility lab noticed their DNA was abnormally similar.

At first, lab technicians believed the pair may be unwitting cousins, but soon ruled that out because the DNA was too similar.

Eventually doctors confronted the pair, who burst out in laughter when they were asked if they were related.

A doctor at the clinic in Jackson, Mississippi, told the Mississippi Herald: "It's just a routine thing and we wouldn't normally check to see if there was a relationship between the two samples.

"But in this case the lab assistant involved was shocked by the similarity of each profile."

Adding to the compelling evidence was the fact the pair shared the same birthday and that friends had remarked how similar they looked.

The doctor who broke the news described how the wife pleaded with him to admit he was joking, but he added: "I wish that I was, but they had to know the truth."

It soon became clear that the pair were in fact unwitting siblings - both having been adopted as babies to separate families when their parents were killed in a car crash.

They later met at a university party and bonded over their similar backgrounds.

The unnamed doctor added: "The husband said that a lot of people remarked on the fact they shared the same birthdays and looked similar to each other, but he said it was just a funny coincidence and that the couple were definitely not related."

The pair are now said to be re-considering their future together.

36 31. Skip the more I think about it, in some ways you are correct, and others you are off. True, no bomb/missle will hit the US. However the NK are entrenched just north of Seoul, and have enough of the city in artillery range to do lots of damage, and worse to create panic in the city. I know that air support can take it out, but they can still do alot of damage. Japan is in proven range of the short range missles, and again can be taken out, but how much damage can they do. I am backing Trump to the hilt on this, because this situation has not gotten any better since Clinton signed his treaty. I an just hoping that a NK General is on the side contemplating a promotion and is sane.

A Happy Birthday to me!

I spent yesterday at our annual food bank drive with tge Boy Scouts. It went well and we had a great turnout on all fronts.

Today the in-laws are visiting and Mrs. Krebs parents will relocate to their chosen assisted living facility on Thursday. Me, I got taxes to start and finish by Tuesday. Fun times all around!

They are stupid enough that one, little, insignificant chant is enough to sway their mind.

1) Force Trump to release his tax returns

What really makes them sad and stupid?
They honestly believe that the IRS--which had no problem going after nobodies merely for daring to be conservative--has damning information about Trump but did not dare leak it.

I can guarantee that there are at least 3 people in the Democrat Party top power structure who have all of Trump's tax returns.
And there is nothing there.

They were the only witnesses as to where Jesus had been buried. And they brought incense to anoint his body as was common in those days. It wasn't a case of the others being brave enough. Also, Mary M. had a much larger influence than what the catholic church has assigned her over the years.

This does not even rise to the level of a theological difficulty (such as whether substitutionary atonement is a valid ethical concept).

The disciples thought that Jesus was going to institute a kingdom on earth at that time. They thought he would be another King David. Look up Simon Bar Kochba for an example of what their expectations would have been. When Jesus was executed, their hopes were completely destroyed, and they went into hiding so as to avoid being punished for being revolutionaries.

Hang on. A boulder was rolled in front of the tomb and a Roman seal was placed over it. How did the Marys figure they were going to get in to do some additional anointing? The Roman soldiers were surely not going to break that seal.

Not my understanding.
They did believe for some time that in this, His first coming (parousia), that He would institute His kingdom on earth. This may be part of the reason He is still rejected as the Messiah by some today. That's another discussion.

But He explains in the first two verses of Matt 24 that no, He will not rule at that time, from that temple. It would be destroyed. He would be leaving. It sank in and the came to Him later, privately, and asked Him two questions;
When would that happen? (destruction of the temple)
What would be the sign of His coming and the end of the world?

He skipped the first question.
Starting in verse 4 he describes the seals being opened on the large scroll. Those seals are conditions that must be met before the scroll, which contain the first of God's judgements, may be opened.

Any more and this will get willowed, if not already.
Put Matt 24 alongside Rev 6.

Best treatise on this is Marvin Rosenthal's "The Pre-wrath Rapture of the Church."

In other matters one of you lovely morons (sorry ~ i forget who) had the "problem" of too many eggs because of the woman next door with chickens, I believe. I could not dig out that flourless chocolate cake recipe ~ I believe my parents have it somewhere and they are retired to the hinterlands of Canada (long story ~ we are not Canadian in any way ~ they just loved it there) . So i looked up on line and found a very close approximation ~ It is this recipe made with polenta (which is like the one I originally used ~ I just don't use polenta). The recipe is here:

And here is a white chocolate custard recipe similar to the one in the original ~ i\when cooking the custard leave it a bit more liquid than a normal thick custard as this is a sauce for the cake ~ th usual presentation is to "sit" the piece of cake in a bed of the white chocolate custard perhaps with a sprig of mint on the top or a few raspberries on the side ~ the cake already has white powdered sugar on top.
