Did This Clinton Campaign Worker Admit A Role in Pushing the Russia Story to Congress and the Media?

Elizabeth Farkas is doing a lot of walking back of her March 2 comments (which were only recently given the attention they deserve), but her new explanations -- "I was just talking about process n' stuff," or whatever -- seem to be out-of-sync with her previous statements about having more definite knowledge of the intelligence about Trump's aides.

24 I would love to know where it got started that Trump was some closet Russian fanatic?

Was it because he didn't condemn Putin quickly enough in some GOP debate?

I mean if I were Russia's leadership, I would want a Democrat in the White House.

Russia's biggest weapon is oil production, which every Democrat will do their damndest to stymie,

Also selling arms abroad, which from the Iran deal was basically legalized by Obama along with having them flush with cash we airlifted.

Also, you can't "bribe" someone to be President, the idea that billionaire President Trump is someone's puppet is beyond ridiculous.

34 I listened to the exchange, she's not really saying it but she's definitely saying it was all just political and coordinated by the Obama administration.

My guess is that the scenario others have described is the most accurate: Obama's team was spying on Trump to get a nice October Surprise, kept digging, and then... he won. they knew there was no way they could hide it from Trump, so they came up with this crap, which also conveniently distracts attention from the CONTENT of the Podesta emails.

He earlier made the joke about maybe Russia has seen hillary's missing 33K emails.
Oh lawdy, cannot joke about the queen, and thus, "Trump was inviting Russians to hack a political opponent," they bleated.
Oct. 19 hillary says in debate that 17 intelligence agencies agree that Russia is attempting to hack the election (FUD attempt on wikileaks ). This was three weeks after her "why aren't I 50 point ahead" spasm, and two weeks after pussygate flopped and Trump roared back with a vengeance.
My working hypothesis is that they had been spying on Trump for a long time, even before DNC and podesta wikileaks (July-October 2016), and "Putin hacked the servers for Trump" was their on-the-fly backup October surprise to finally sink Trump.
Everything subsequent to that was just a convenient alteration of that surprise to "Putin hacked the election for Trump," and is a handy scapegoat for their "unaware and compliant", idiot followers/

The Russia talk started last summer when Montafort or some other Trump campaign staff was reported to have had business in Russia. They were talking about this for months.

Think it started in response to/as cover for Hillary's server and her pay-to-play with Russian uranium company. Can't remember when the "Clinton Cahs" movie came out, but there was definitely some talk of the movie's revelations along w/her email server investigation (that Comey initially ended in July).

"2. The Black Hat who did the unmasking is very high up in the intelligence world and is not in the FBI. Putting that aspect into prior information leads to a higher probability the individual was Director of National Intelligence, James Clapper.

3. The two people reported yesterday in the New York Times report, by reporter Maggie Haberman, were not Nunes sources. Ezra Cohen-Watnick, the senior director for intelligence at the National Security Council, and Michael Ellis, a lawyer who works on national security issues at the White House Counsel's Office, only helped Nunes navigate the intelligence. They were not the source.

That Cohen-Watnick and Michael Ellis were not the sources, leads further credence to the belief that their names were seeded to Katie Walsh as a canary operation to identify the White House leaker."

Trump tweets "I was wiretapped"

Democrats: Trump is mentally disturbed.

NYT: Obama Administration Rushed to Preserve Evidence of Russian Election Hacking

Devin Nunes acquires intel that Trump, his family members, some Trump associates, and possibly SCOTUS justices, and other U.S. persons WERE electronically surveilled, their identies unmasked, and the intel distributed to various gov't agencies.

Democrats: Nunes should resign.

Evelyn Farkas Mar. 2. "I knew..," I contacted some former associates and urged them to get as much intelligence as possible to The Hill." "I was worried that if they, the Trump people, found out HOW WE GOT THAT INFORMATION..." "That's why you had the leaks."

Evelyn Farkas Mar. 30: "They" took selective cuts of that interview, out of context, to make it sound like I said something other than what I said.

BALONEY. I went to the archive and listened to the whole exchange between Farkas and Brzezinski. Levin had cut nothing. He played the segment in its entirety three or four times.

Today I read Farkas's walkback at American Spectator, in its entirety, several times. I have to agree with other commenters here. She has already been reprogrammed.

So...if those bent on taking Trump down over conversations that were eavesdropped on had the goods on him, wouldn't they have been shouting their evidence from the rooftops for the past 3 months?

189 I thought Farkus was pretty damn clear stating that "we" (whoever she means by 'we') would no longer have access to intel if Trump staff roots them out (obviously after the inaugeration).

190 She starts her walkback by referring to her March 2
appearance on MSNBC's Morning Schmoe as "...a strange video of unknown
provenance." Translation: a show nobody ever heard of. Lol. At least
that much is true.

March 2. Wait. When did Trump tweet that Obama wired his palace?

Posted by: Burnt Toast at March 31, 2017 07:39 PM (P/kVC)

191 Farkas: "That's why you have the leaking. People are worried."

They're worried? About what?

Were they worried that the new Trump administration would...

*cancel missile shield defenses for NATO allies?
*let the Russians firmly establish military bases in the Middle East?
*let Russia bribe an American Cabinet Secretary to gain control of American uranium supplies?
*let Russia conduct years of cyber-attacks against America with impunity?
*let Russia supply Iran with uranium and sophisticated missile systems to guard their nuke factories?
*let Russia bomb civilians without lifting a finger to stop it?
*allow Russia to destabilize Europe by helping to cause a massive refugee crisis?
*fail to support Ukrainians with arms to staunch Russian invasions?

Because all those and more were policy in the Obama Administration.

In other words, "We had to stop Trump because we were afraid he'd be just as weak, pliable, anti-American and corrupt as we were with Russia!"

It's tantamount to this Catch 22:

Old and Busted: "We had to destroy the village to save the village!"
The New Hotness: "We had to wiretap the village to save the village! And then leak it!"

She can try to walk back her confession now, but you can't walk back eight years of gutless Pre-Emptive Surrender by a lying traitor.
