Google to Now Begin Flagging Content as "Upsetting-Offensive"
Only a matter of time, really.
ogle is trying to improve the quality of its search results by directing review teams to flag content that might come across as upsetting or offensive. With the change, content with racial slurs could now get flagged under a new category called "upsetting-offensive." So could content that promotes hate or violence against a specific group of people based on gender, race or other criteria. While flagging something doesn't directly affect the search results themselves, it's used to tweak the company's software so that better content ranks higher. This approach might, for instance, push down content that is inaccurate or has other questionable attributes, thereby giving prominence to trustworthy sources.The stuff about "promoting hate and violence" is the foot-in-the-door excuse.

In the TX Obama DACA EO case the district judge only issued an injunction for TX. The Fifth Circuit then applied it to the Fifth Circuit. It went to SCOTUS and a 4-4 tie, which sent it back to the Fifth Circuit which then made it nationwide.
A big big problem with Trump's EOs is that judges in WA, HI and MD have issued TROs and injunctions that purport to have nationwide application. This should go to SCOTUS to get hammered. It may even go 9-0

the idea was basically to create a private club, make it cool create demand, sign up members and sell the members as the product.

Videos that promote (or even explain) a conservative viewpoint are often flagged as "unavailable in restricted mode". Many videos from Prager U are restricted as are many Miton Friedman videos. Anything embarrassing to the left (i.e. Hilary's fainting spell) are almost guaranteed to be restricted.

I thought so too but I saw an interview with some of the keepers and I'm pretty convinced they're on the up and up. It's a fairly small operation and they're all about the animals. They were hoping to get a few thousand viewers total. The vid going viral caught them by surprise as much as anyone else.
They actually did take it down at first when April didn't give birth right away, but put it back up due to popular demand. Sure they're making money off of this, but I'm convinced that wasn't the original intent after seeing the interviews.
Giraffes are preggers for 15 months and the due dates are kind of guesstimates.

Actually the courts acted exactly correctly on that because executive action on immigration cannot do anything that Congress did not empower. Obam's EO broke the law. Trump's EO does not as Congress empowers the President to do exactly what he did.

Actually the courts acted exactly correctly on that because executive action on immigration cannot do anything that Congress did not empower. Obam's EO broke the law. Trump's EO does not as Congress empowers the President to do exactly what he did.

Bought some real nice silverware at auction the other day, but was outbid on the chairs I wanted.
Stroked a $20K check on a new sign.
Bathrooms and entryway get new floor covering tomorrow and the dining room will be re-carpeted on Monday.
Point of Sale system should be in tomorrow and in operation by the weekend. (Now I'll have a better idea of how quick I'm losing money)
The new menu is ready to go, except my daughter seems to think the prices are too high for the clientele. Heated argument to follow.
Health department is due in on Tuesday to approve the planned changes in the kitchen. I'm sure that will go well (right!).
Architect is working on the expansion plans for the catering kitchen and prep areas. Hopefully, we can get this going soon.
Other than that, everything is rather boring.

As far as I'm concerned comparing the two cases is like comparing apples and oranges.
Texas had a direct financial harm with DAPA because they would have to pay welfare benefits to DAPA enrollees.

It means that your blood sugar over the past three months have been high. Typical A1C for non-diabetics is under 7. Complications from diabetes start at 8. As a Type I since the age of 4, I've never been as low as I am now, with a 7.1 A1C. As a teenager who thought he was invincible, I had an A1C as high as 13.
I've had 6 eye surgeries to correct diabetic retinopathy. I can't feel my feet. My kidneys leak protein but are doing ok all things considered - oh and I can't feel my feet most of the time (although that's getting better too).
Get the A1C down by eating less carbs. Thats the easiest thing to do. Lay off deserts and sweet drinks. Pass on the pasta and potatoes and only eat rice infrequently.
Your body will thank you.

For openers, even if Obama had the authority to do this, it was "rule making" that didn't comply with the Administrative Procedure Act.
The only way for the Left to win on this was to say that Texas lacked standing, even though the Johnson Memo was ordering Texas to do things like issue drivers licenses.
Be careful on standing, it can work both ways
