Irony: DNC Required Voter ID and Paper Ballots for Chair Vote.

You could feed all the villages of the world with the intellectual pretzels baked by Progressives.

“We have to make sure that we can not just count the ballots but verify every name and signature,” Brazile said as party members began applauding. “And I want to make sure that at the conclusion of all of our votes, that you, the members of this party, will be able to review those ballots.”

I know that there have been threats from random Twitter people, but I want to see organized action against Democratic incumbents in favor of socialist alternatives, and then either sitting out of the general election when the primary effort inevitably fails, or actively supporting third party candidates.

Please, of dear Lord in Heaven, please let this happen.

51 On Sirius this morning , I heard Varney interview Tim Ryan, the Ohio Dem Rep. who ran against Nancy Pelosi for minority leader and lost.

Ryan claims to be the middle ground, populist Rep. who represents a district in NE Ohio struggling with high unemployment, etc.

Varney asked him if the thought that Perez's election would pull the Dems back to a centrist party. Ryan said that Perez, when he was Sec. of Labor, fought to make sure those who worked overtime got overtime pay so he is for "the working man".

Varney asked him again. Ryan didn't answer but started blabbing on about how the Dem party wants to put people back to work by infrastructure project such as "laying broadband throughout the Midwest" because "right now, the tech jobs are all going to the coasts because they have broadband".

They all have "broadband'. Via satellite. Several work from home. All have not just social media pages, but websites, email, etc.

Who in their right mind would decide, other than a Democrat, that the USA needs to spend trillions of dollars to run cable service to a 1200 acre farm in Iowa, or a 50 acre property in WV that is getting excellent service from satellite?

I know Tim Ryan's district and except for the pockets of Amish, the entire area is serviced by phone, cable, and satellite.

Varney was so taken aback, he just kind of stuttered, tried to keep from laughing and ended the interview.

96 89 Man, I spent a few hours trying to have an intelligent discussion with a 'true believer' couple, yesterday.

Where the fuck do these people get exposed to ALL the same Liberal Tropes? 97%, Russians!, Evil Rich Republicans Want to Steal My Abortion, But - Russians!, Obamacare saved my friend's Life!, RUSSIANS!

Never appreciated Reagan more. How he didn't just go on a Rampage, I will never know.

I know that I'll never change such people's minds in one fell swoop, so I tend to try and focus the discussion on a single issue.

I think the Russian thing would be easy to pin down. Whenever another topic comes up, just say, "When we've finished talking about Russia we can move onto that."

Whenever I do this, the conversation remains much more civil for some reason, too.

Definitely. Just, if there is, say, a new logging operation set up, a road will be built, whether by the logger or someone else. Commerce still produces infrastructure in a vacuum. It just raises the capital requirements of starting a new venture. I figure centrally-planned infrastructure lowers the bar for entry when starting a new business.

Independent Journal Review was tipped off that Trump was going to be eating dinner at the Old Post office Trump hotel in DC. Sent a reporter to cover by reserving a table for him.

He was there for dinner with Rex Tillerson and wife, Ivanka and Jared, and Nigel Farage. Lots of photos, and Trump being pleasant to other diners who asked for a selfie, etc.

Photo of Trump quietly handing a $100 bill to the busboy of their table, I must say, the reporter for the IRJ was quite on it. Trump was trying to tip without it being seen.

Supposedly, one of Trump's waiters said that Trump commented that SNL would be filming at that time and wondered what they would do to him this week, LOL.

I'd say send him back to jail if he wants free stuff again. There he gets 3 hots and a cot. Maybe a few more "hots" depending on whose bitch he is.

171 I figure centrally-planned infrastructure lowers the bar for entry when starting a new business.

Posted by: Moron Pundit at February 27, 2017 11:28 AM (xeeHA)

It is just as likely that centrally-planned infrastructure overspends as underspends. That is, central planning guarantees that some of the infrastructure built will be underutilized (e.g., high speed train from Bakersfield to Fresno), hence wasteful. Given the uncertainty involved, by overcorrecting to ensure that necessary infrastructure is built, it is axiomatic that there will be some unnecessary infrastructure built. Each dollar of infrastructure waste is a dollar not spent on something that would derive a greater benefit. Bastiat, where are you?

Iowa built an excellent fiber optic network connecting all the schools, and government offices and I believe it's obsolete as the landlines are now. Fancy as could be in the years before the smartphone though.

193 I'm wondering where all Rachel Dolezal's black supporters went, all the black celebrities too, the ones who said (at the time) they were totally cool with her claim because she lived like a sister and was down with the struggle and all that bs. They really don't have any use for her at all. Nor does her family, after the way she treated them. I doubt we've heard the last of her. She's mental and likes to sue, so I'm sure she'll be in the news again.
