The traditional American response to existential threats has been firepower. The US treatment of Iran could be: Solitudinem faciunt, pacem appellant.
A more kind deterrent would be to target Iranian electrical generation. A nation without electrical generation is not a threat. One caveat is that may require a Declaration of War. ISTR the Laws of Land Warfare do not permit cutting off power to civilians unless war is declared. But the US has recent precedent that a US President can ignore International and National laws, so we are good. We have the military weapons needed. Electrical power generation is also the area where Iran is most vulnerable. Iran operates at almost peak capacity, without reserves. A limited number of power plants deliver most of the power. Losing a power plant would take a very long time to repair. Iran is the strategic center of ME hatred for America, and is close to a nuclear weapon. Electrical power is essential to nuke production. This is the strategic center we have ignored since 1979. Posted by: NaCly Dog at January 30, 2017 07:03 PM (u82oZ) 40

Unicorns are like Smurfs but reversed gender populations. There is more male, the stag, who lives to be 500 years old or until a male unicorn kills him in battle, which is rare becaue the stag eats all the baby boy unicorns saving the girls for sex, or breeding. The rest are female, but their life cycles are short because they die during Unicorn birth. Think of the Koolaid man blasting though the walls, and that is how unicorns are born with their horns.
This is why they are rare. Kinda like Democrat on Democrat political blood shed (Tulsi Gabbard Vs. Obama, Clinton, and all others). Posted by: Pepe, Moar Pleaae. at January 30, 2017 07:11 PM (j8aRL) 83

Then again, they'd probably lack confidence in their fuzing, so impact detonation might be the call, even with the great reduction in blast damage radius. Since this thread is over 100, and my prayer request on the mid-morning thread seems to've gotten missed, I'm re-posting:
May I ask prayers for my BIL, initials JM? I was just informed by my sister RM (Currently battling bronchitis herself) that he's got carotid stenosis, severe on the right and moderate on the left. They'll be talking to the vascular surgeon(s) on Friday. Thanks. Oh, and Vic has been added to their prayer list. Posted by: Empire1 at January 30, 2017 07:38 PM (r2/3c) 212

Alex Jones is a large sweaty man with a raspy, Tom Waits-ish voice who has a radio show/a couple webpages dedicated to conspiracy theories of all sorts. He's nominally on the right, and I'd say he is largely conservative, though he also believes in vast government conspiracies. His theories range from the plausible to the utterly insane (he believes the Sandy Hook shooting was a 'false flag operation,' for an example of a particularly nutty one).
I can't quite tell if he believes the stuff he says or if he just knows there's a large audience for conspiracy theories - I lean towards the former because I can't imagine someone doing all the shit he does without being a true believer. That being said, his trolling of Cenk Uygar and the rest of the Dumb Turks was Trumpian levels of awesome. Posted by: broseidon king of the brocean at January 30, 2017 07:43 PM (kumBu) 240

Senate rules are entirely up to the Senate. This includes of course the filibuster, and things like "holds" on nominees or appropriations items aren't even at that level, they're more in the category of courtesies and traditions. to see first thing in the morning, but it is after all just a schwanz. Presumably the NYPD has seen one before. For it to be "truly disgusting" to a veteran of the NYPD there has to be more than that. Yep. Kinda figured Huma's archive had certain docs and emails that might come in handy should she need to save her a$$ from Clinton Co. throwing her under the bus (and other MB honeytrap uses, naturally). A friend of mine had a great idea.
Order a bunch of Trump bumper stickers. Put them on cars that have CoExist stickers, over the stickers. Maybe put them on cars that jerks parked taking up 2 parking spaces. Let the Left do the rest. Posted by: navybrat at January 30, 2017 08:38 PM (w7KSn) 477

The middle episodes drag. The last 3-4 episodes really pick up and things get interesting.
The sad thing is the middle episodes have you liking the Germans and Japanese better than the main American characters. The DJ Qualls and the art dealer characters I enjoy. Frank annoys me. Juliana just flutters around in angst. And I'm tired of only Jews being shown as having religious traditions that they stick to. Christians always get ignored or belittled. Otherwise, nothing anti-white about the show. Posted by: WOPR - Nationalist at January 30, 2017 08:33 PM (J70i0) I agree. I thought the ending episode was really good. Posted by: Grump928(C) at January 30, 2017 08:20 PM (7yo7t) The thing that disappointed me most was finding out, after finishing the first season, that they actually made a second season. I laughed and laughed when I saw the end, when the Jap dude opened his eyes to see a different world. But nooo, they had to make more. No thanks. As long as the capital city involved is Tehran.
It's perfectly fine that the Iranian people love us. I'm confident that the 1939 Germans had a positive view as polled by who-the-fuck-ever of the US. But if they're not prepared to dispatch their government, as we have legally dispatched ours thus far, then fuck them. And if the airport-marchers manage to overturn our government, then we deserve to be nuked. Posted by: JEM at January 30, 2017 08:41 PM (TppKb) 489

Also, for the "that is not conservative" folks out there - I don't care. We are now in a fight for the survival of the republic, and that includes the constitution. If you don't understand that, then you are living in bygone era, or are living in a fantasy world of your own making on twitter. What the opponents of Trump are trying to do is a soft coup. Enough... It's been implied by the Cold Case Posse that they ran into some very dark and serious crimes while investigating Obama. They reported them to the authorities when They discovered one.
They claim they will release all of their findings in the near future. It is disturbing from what they have conveyed to others. Posted by: Pepe, Moar Pleaae. at January 30, 2017 08:42 PM (j8aRL) 491

Freakiest thing is still the wanted poster from Portugal, with the two drawings that are dead ringers for the Podesta boys. I even went to the Find Madeline McCann webpage. It is the one they posted, with 4 other people of interest. The story is that the Podesta's stayed at some other pedophile's bodega while vacationing in the town. The house was really close, less than a mile, from the house the McCanns were renting. Posted by: The Mouse that Roared at January 30, 2017 08:47 PM (7N6ox) 497

The terms used in the emails and symbols used in Social media have been known by the FBI and sex crime divisions for years. Crimes like that are done in the open. Hiding in plain site is a real and proven strategy for getting away with crimes. Also the media runs cover for them and protects them. They go after the victims when They come forward. Look at BoyTown and The Franklin Coverup, they destroyed and put the fear of Satan into those poor kids who came forward. Posted by: Pepe, Moar Pleaae. at January 30, 2017 08:49 PM (j8aRL) 501

Apparently Obama didn't trouble himself to get ballistic missile tests included in his deal to give Iran $140 billion and nuclear bombs in exchange for nothing at all.
Posted by: Ace at 06:54 PM Ace, you are looking at it from the standpoint that Preezy 'Bama was a woefully inept bungler. He's not; he picked a side and it's not with the U.S. Hell, D'Souza predicted in 2012 that by the time Obama left office, he would have taken steps to make Iran nuclear-capable: Iran needs those nukes to counter the eeeeeeeeeeeeeevil Western powers. My understanding regarding the pedo circles is that they often will use foreign kids. This ensures that no one here is looking for them, that they will be to afraid to escape, and have no means of communicating if they do escape. Kids taken from our country are sent elsewhere for similar reasons.
