I listen to AM radio turned down way low for white noise for sleeping. Talk shows are fine, but there's something about the cadence of sports commentary that makes it impossible to sleep. I'm not all HURF DURF U DUMMEYS WATCH SPORTSBALL; I'll watch the hell out of a good Spartans match, but ffs, it's hard enough to sleep as it is, please no late night games. The worst is when they're three time zones away on the west coast. I'll drift off and some asshole will wake me up screaming "you're listening to MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBAAAAAAAAALL". No, Prince of Lies, it's a couple hours into Tuesday, and I have to be at work in a few hours.

I talked to Rev about this. He said that the pastor is in charge of the spiritual life of the church, not the financial life. I don't know what your board structure is within your denomination, but Rev says there is someone designated to make those payments, and it is not you. He said that the denominational superintendent should talk with that person in your church. You are not installed at that church, right? You are serving in a sort of interim position (maybe I have that wrong). Anyway, Rev has been in an interim position where there were financial problems and that was dealt strictly within the lay leadership. It never involved him. As an interim, he was there to preach, serve communion, visit the sick, perform weddings and funerals. He was not included in the inner financial workings of the church.
Anyway, he is praying for you and his heart goes out to you.

Yes, magnesium is very good for sleep, cardiovascular muscles, and anxiety. It doesn't work right away but you'll feel better within a few days of starting to take it.
I had insomnia for decades, started taking significant amounts of magnesium glycinate about 12 years ago, and now fall into a deep sleep immediately.
Be sure and take magnesium glycinate or another chelated form of magnesium. Non-chelated forms don't work well.
You can also take a bath in Epsom salts to get it into your system quickly. Health food stores and Amazon also have magnesium oil you can spray on you skin and rub in. Both work great.

Yes, do ask. The form of magnesium makes a big difference. OTC, Mg citrate will loosen your bowels. I take Mg malate: it knocks me out, and helps with my afib. Prescription stuff (calcate? not sure) comes in other forms.

It probably is, and since it's a hormone that's normally produced in your brain and not consumed orally, you might just be pissing it out, honestly. Some people take it for years, low-dose, others get no benefit from it after a month. 10mg is pretty high. You should probably see if there's something that might help you more.

I listen to things as well and what I listen to affects my dreams. The other night, after bingeing on Seinfeld, I Iistened to a lecture on Beethoven string quartets as I slept. I had a series of Seinfeld/Beethoven dreams. In one, George had to fool people into thinking he was playing the violin and he was sawing away con brio. In another, I was trying to sell my car and the prospective buyer backed out because she didn't like the version of Beethoven's Appassionata on the CD in the car's CD player.

I think one of the things that helped them out a lot, is the fact that throughout history, the church was the *de facto government* of a lot of failed or semi-failed states, all the way through the dark ages. At least that's the impression I've had for a long time.

Not much. Let's assume a 'safe' investment that *maybe* returns 4%. That's $20,000, before inflation.
At least 1%, and I would say 2%, *must* be reinvested.
2% would be $10,000, leaving $10,000 in spendable money. That isn't much to pay operating costs.

One of those figures is called the U-6 rate, which has a broader definition of unemployment than the U-3 does. In December, that number fell a tenth of a point, to 9.2 percent.

And really, how exciting is it to watch people dive in mud or talk about diving in mud? Sure, it's interesting to know how to dig a booby trapped hole, but it's not really useful in real life. Not like conversations about the Star People from Sirius.
The only way they can make Oak Island exciting is if they actually find the Ark of the Covenant, which immediately releases some sort of laser radiation ray that dissolves everyone on camera, a la Raiders of the Lost Ark.
That would help the ratings I think.

The only way they can make Oak Island exciting is if they actually find the Ark of the Covenant, which immediately releases some sort of laser radiation ray that dissolves everyone on camera, a la Raiders of the Lost Ark.
That would help the ratings I think.

I also suspect by Spring of 1945, even the most hard-core of the SS were coming to see Hitler as a liability, not an asset. Why compromise security of your escape organization by trying to use it to effect the escape of the most-sought target of all, especially when his usefulness was at an end? I suspect that had Hitler survived, at least some of his henchmen might have sacrificed him to save their own butts.

Depends on how their ad service measures traffic. Some of the ad services measure how far a reader stays on the page, or even if the entire article is scrolled through.
Yes, it counts on some level as a hit. If'n you looking to avoid it entirely, hover your mouse icon over the link before you click. If it's a 'raw' link direct to the site, the address should pop up in the lower part of your browser ( if you haven't turned that feature of, that is )
To avoid most of the pop-ups, you should get Ad-block Advanced for your browser. Tames some of them but not all.
Also, Twitter links are transferred through twitter's own link referral, so they can't be trusted at all.
