Source: Hillary Clinton Is Thinking About Running for Mayor of NYC

PS, sorry for the crap blogging. I'm not exactly sick but my brain seems to be laid up in bed.

And now in Instapundit's update -- unhinged leftist hack Matthew Dowd, neutral and objective chief political analyst of ABCNews -- is now considering running against Ted Cruz for Senator in Texas.

I've recently written of the stellar work Matthew J. Dowd does -- like his endless screaming that Trump voters won't LISTEN TO US.

I think he'll do gangbusters business in Texas, a state which is proud to call itself The State of Believing What Our Betters Tell Us, the state of the Compliant Cowboys.

By the way, Dowd was a longtime Democratic operative who defected to the Bush team when Bush was governor. Courtiers always keep a weather eye for changes in the political weather. By 2007, he was publicly criticizing Bush for the Iraq War.

I actually find it hard to believe that Frau Gruppencankles is seriously thinking NYC Mayor. The main reason she wanted to be President was the power to take revenge against all those icky rightwingers who were mean to her for so many years. Without that executive power to enslave rightys nationwide there's no reason for her to take on an executive office that will actually require her to work and make decisions.

If it were simply money, she'd go back to the Senate. Big bucks, and no responsibilities.

353 To chime in a bit on the Texas political scene - the reason that some people are trying to get him to run is that the sad (for democrats) reality in Texas is that there is NO ONE of any political stature in Texas who is going to be able to challenge either Cruz or Abbott (for gov) next year. They may as well run unopposed. That dem from El Paso who supposedly wants to run against Cruz? A bit of electoral history. NO ONE from El Paso has ever been elected to a statewide office. NO ONE. Not in 170 years!!! That's because El Paso is seen as some dirty little border backwater (even though its actually pretty big) that has nothing at all to do with the rest of the state. It's kind of an orphan city, and probably has closer ties to Mexico than it does to Austin.

That being said just to show, if Dems are down to recruiting someone from El Paso, it's like the football time announcing from the PA system that they're looking for volunteers to come down from the stands and play quarterback. Desperate.

Oh, and I know he says he want to run as an independent. No independent candidate, and there have been several, has ever scored more than 18%, which was in 2006 against Perry. Nobody's ever done better than that, and its pretty damned unlikely that Dowd could break that mark.
