She's receiving an "undisclosed amount." She'll have a "triple role," doing some daytime news (like the View? or will she be on MSNBC?), some Sunday night type magazine show, and will also be part of NBC's super-amazing live political coverage. Good riddance to bad rubbish. More: She says she wanted a better work-life balance or something. Her statement on FaceBook:ver a dozen years ago I started at Fox News in a job that would change my life. Now, I have decided to end my time at FNC, incredibly enriched for the experiences I've had. I have agreed to join NBC News, where I will be launching a new daytime show Monday through Friday, along with a Sunday evening news magazine program. I will also participate in NBC's breaking news coverage and its political and special events coverage. While I will greatly miss my colleagues at Fox, I am delighted to be joining the NBC News family and taking on a new challenge. I remain deeply grateful to Fox News, to Rupert, Lachlan and James Murdoch, and especially to all of the FNC viewers, who have taught me so much about what really matters. The idea was to kill the stupid ethics panel before the Democrats on the panel had a chance to abuse it and investigate Trump on every single thing he did or said.
So, now, the Democrats on the ethics panel cannot be stopped from doing so. Republicans can never get rid of the panel in the midst of the fake investigations because it will look bad, which is exactly what they were trying to avoid by shutting down the panel before the Democrats' antics began.

No doubt. She's an attractive woman. But she's also over 40. The pron industry is not what it used to be. Apparently there really ARE "good" girls doing it to save up for college, and lots of them are really really good looking, without looking like they've been dragged through the alley a few times.

I do have to preface this by saying I really don't watch pron.
Most of what I "know" about the industry comes from a radio show, where they have a weekly feature, that often includes interviews with "stars" of today. Usually I can't listen more than a few minutes because it does bug me, but occasionally one of the girls will sound lovely... in a way.
So... I look up her picture, and see a sweet looking, very well put together young lady.
I don't know from their enthusiasm, performance-wise, but I get the impression from the way they talk about it, today's pron actresses sorta come pre-conditioned to be quite realistic in their performances.
Which, if true, would be a most welcomed improvement over what I used to see, back in the day.

They are hiring PI's to track her every move while she is making the documentary. Really crazy stuff.
Haven't seen Remeni's series, but the HBO series "Going Clear" based on the book of the same name was un-freakin-believable. They interviewed a number of former Scientology executives, including one guy who was in charge of harassing/investigating people who left, and that organization is *sick*.

My understanding is the House Ethics Panel is an "independent' group that monitors the House for ethics violations, accepts reports and information regarding potential ethics violations and recommends action and provides information on ethics investigation to the public.
And today, as one of it's first priorities, the House GOP leadership wanted to remove this panels independence and put it's duties back into a House committee , giving the House oversight over itself.
So Trump points out that this should be way down the list of import and they back off.
I'm not sure why there were a bunch of posters earlier who thought removing this panel(created in the wake of the Jack Abramoff scandal) was a good idea.

Before a new Congress is sat, they meet to establish the rules that the new Congress will be governed by. This has only been going on forever.
This is what happened last night. One, just one, of the things they decided to get rid of was a Pelosi era separate and unaccountable "ethics" group that answered to nobody and had no rules for investigations and was even able to accept anonymous tips.
They wasted about 2 years investigating Rep Blake Farnthold for a bogus sexual harassment claim which was tossed because, get this, it was bogus. But the damage was out there for 2 years.
Bigger question is why would anyone who claims to support due process and fair legal proceedings support a star chamber group like this that was founded to root out the "Republican Culture of Corruption"?

My take on why the MSM is so gung-ho on pushing this nonsensical story is self-preservation. They sold out completely to push the Haggard One over the line and failed, and didn't even see it coming. Their credibility has taken a huge hit and so has their perceived power and influence.
If they could just convince the gullible and stupid that some outside nefarious force had an impact they couldn't control, it might just let them off the hook.

Trump has plenty of his own issues to deal with that in case people have missed it have been the topic on cable channels and lefty websites since the election. His response has been basically to tell people to fuck off.

Have you seen any of the Documentaries out there about Scientology? I doubt it. You don't know about the South Park version until you have been in for years and years. They dint tell you that crash shit until you are a few levels from the top.
By the time you know that and/or you need to get out, they have everything recorded as blackmail plus they threaten our life and your family's life. And even worse you don't know that they keep records of all your confessions and sessions on tape until you try and leave.
You come across as very ignorant on the subject. I'm sure if ground breaking documentaries had been made 10 or 20 years ago, then people would have been able to avoid the death trap to begin with. But since these are all recent, have some compassion and empathy for people involved who will be blackmailed and their lives destroyed if/when they try and leave.

My artistic mentor, who was a big deal in gallery circles back in the day, met Maplethorpe on a few occasions. She said he was a surprisingly kind, softspoken kind of a guy. She had expected someone edgy, abrasive, egocentric. From the recent documentaries coming out, it had been claimed that hypnosis techniques are used early and often.
They are predators and people should not lose sight of that omg with the fact it is almost impossible to leave without hassive harm being done to you and your loved ones.

My point is that if this light exposed Scientology earlier, then less people would have signed up and far less harm would have been done to people.

If you believe the many-worlds (multiverse) theories then you get a different version of a person every time you meet them after an absence.
Heinlein's "Unpleasant Profession of Johnathan Hogg" where two main characters handcuff themselves to each other every night could be a nod toward this theory. Otherwise it is one of the more surprising things in a Heinlein story.
