I mean it could have been "Russian," as in a teenage kid hacking databases as a hobby, trying to find a live credit card, or Russian-origin software patches that leave a trace (so if it was California-based software, we'd be down with it right?), but this venture just would not require the kind of online horsepower that your actual Kremlin-basement crew would bring. Wikileaks was supposed to be the October surprise. Assange led everyone to think that he had a bombshell that would put Hillary in jail. All we got were things that shed a little light on the DNC and Hillary's inner circle. (We're still waiting on Hillary's 33,000 deleted e-mails).
The real October surprise was Trump's Pussygate. This was a leak of a private conversation, and it came from a MSM source, followed up by an orchestrated MSM campaign of ladies who cried wolf.
Hillary's strategy was to get Republicans to turn on Trump because of this and then drive him from the race in October. Recall that some Republicans did turn. All Hillary had to then do was step over Trump's smoldering corpse and walk into the White House. We'd never see a Nationalist Populist getting the time of day in the R party ever again.

But that is NOT a "hack" of the election. That was a "hack", phishing attack, whatever, of ONE guy's email account. And Assange over at Wikileaks still swears and be damned that the Russians had nothing to do with their being provided with Podesta's emails.
So until such time as someone comes up with some actual hard data showing that the Russians hacked anything shows up, and so far it has not, then it is just more leftie fake news and nothing more.

I don't know how a delayed repeal would operate, but I think there's an element that people often forget:
The insurance industry gets the memo that ACA is going away. Congress implements repeal, delays it for 2-3 years, but (and this is pure speculation on my part) allows for the insurance industry to offer plans that meet previously okay standards but not the ACA standards.
The insurance industry, knowing that they can make money on this, begin to build risk pools outside of the ACA exchanges, making the individual market robust again relatively soon, lessening the dangers of repeal as well as the need for some unified replacement plan.
I think it's feasible.

They will be able to give you at least 30% more for your money, tell you what is best and freshest that day and they'll be more interested in doing your delivery well.
Most floral sales are through 1-800 boiler rooms somewhere in Asia now. Even some more sophisticated scam artists have devised ways of seeming like local shops online.

The insurance industry - disastrously over- and mis-regulated at the state level, already part of a frankenstein "market" with more non-market than market forces at work due to state/fed involvement over the last 4 decades, and of course guilty of massive rent-seeking and cartel behavior in many states - provided many options prior to Jan. 1 2014.
There's nothing - operationally, actuarially, etc - they can't dust off and resume doing. It's only been two full years.
But I'm just talking about the hardest hit sector - the individual market (which has been destroyed). Yes yes there are lots of other parts of the elephant, but some of them have still not even been implemented, thanks to "waivers" etc.
Getting back to the status quo ante Jan. 2014 is not the least bit difficult. And as TheJamesMadison suggested above, there are approaches that could quickly restore sanity (well, at least a vastly superior situation) in the individual market while cushioning the "blow" to the artificial subsidized market (BTW, I'd guess there are 5 times as many people devastated or seriously financially injured in the individual market as there are beneficiaries of the welfare of O-care subsidized plans).

And I'm not sure accessory to violent crimes would be the easiest or best approach. I think there are other ways. I alluded to this in another comment this morning.
Voiding local/state laws, on the basis of federal pre-emption (as in the AZ case a few years back) would seem like a strong judicial approach to simply vacate the laws passed in sanctuary entities. There may also be some potential in writs of mandamus, or other ways to judicially compel compliance on the state/local level.
Personally (and based on limited understanding), I'd like to see a two-part pincer attack: defunding of fed $, and full-blown DoJ assault along the lines outlined above.
I think this could change the national picture almost overnight.

I never stopped despising them. THey are the lowest of the low. One of the reasons Barky has had such a free hand to pull all this shit at the end of his illegitimate term is that the first thing Ryan (and McConnell) did was to give Barky every cent he could possibly want through the end. Barky never had to worry about money for anything and was unconstrained since Ryan slimed into the Speakership.
And Ryan and McConnell were fighting Trump and Trump supporters every step of the election. They are POS dem shills and need to be tossed.

Leaving aside Medicaid expansions, there have been few beneficiaries of O-care (subsidized plans). Certainly compared to those affected - catastrophically, or seriously - by the destruction of the individual market.
My fault for not looking into it. I recall there were early, limited reports of estimates that up to 800K people in New Jersey, and well over a 1M in CA, would be losing their individual plans (meaning they could still buy them - but at 3X to 5X the previous cost). Beyond that, I saw nothing.
Another screaming example of a country off the rails because 1) no real press 2) a dumbed-down electorate 3) lazy and corrupted institutions and "citizens" (if they're not devastated, they don't care about anything that happens).

And Ignoramus I think the Steinle case offers a perspective that contradicts your premise. The stunning reality is that this case did *not* become a cause celebre, beyond those who already understood the problem.
The Steinle case illustrated just how far gone the country is. It should have been a firestorm raging to this day.
YET ..... there is still no doubt that there is solid majority support for common sense return to rule of law on immigration. Trump's election in significant part confirmed this. Nothing wrong with getting some scalps, per your suggestion, but I think all serious actions Trump takes will reinforce the existing support for fixing this disastrous situation.
