At least we passed a law that said all of the newly collected money had to go into the highway fund and not the general fund, which is bone dry.

Everything from late contractors to dealing with customs in trying to get his flautist across the border. He's disgusted too. I plan on signing up when he's live. I'm not a huge fan of the others. We have a Cracker Barrel here over in "the city" about 35 miles away. I ate there once. There was a 45 min wait time because it was located near I-95 and was crowded as hell. The food was crap when we finally got it AND it was overpriced. There are a LOT of "country kitchen" self-serve places around here that are more reasonably priced and if you get there by 1130 for lunch there is seldom a line. And the food is always great. Except on Sunday. On Sunday the churches let out at 1030 and everyone heads for the nearest "country place".

From 11:30 until 2:00 there is a line out the door and the parking lot is full of cop cars, mail trucks, plumber vans, and assorted cowboys and tree trimmers. The take-out business is huge too. And all they have to do on that card is say w/o any proof that they are indeed a "REAL" citizen to be able to vote. And everyone knows that an illegal will always tell the truth.

But it only matters in two things since CA is a forever Democrat State anyway. And that is how many "representatives CA gets to send to the House since they got enough Democrats in SCOTUS to allow "illegals" to count towards Representatives. And it is also used to determine how much federal money CA gets for welfare and other socialist benefits.

Both of these things are something Republicans in congress needs to fix. But that will never happen.

170 Fenelon and crew, I would ask for continued prayers for my sister in law as she recovers from a bad fall and hip replacement. She is back in her own home and in good spirits and is working the rehab route, but she is not in good physical condition. so this is a constant worry for me. I've been living in the area for the past two weeks, safe-proofing the house, providing personal services, and will be there much of this week, but I can't maintain that level of support indefinitely. I'll be driving back today and be there most of the week.
As always the prayers from the Horde are much appreciated!
