Pro Tip: 5' 9" is the absolute shortest height that a short guy will claim--unless he's a jockey. Why you ask? Because 5' 8" or 5' 7" or 5' 6" conjures up another measurement that shrinks men's confidence.

They updated it, and that one contained one new thing wrong with the prior 3 things fixed. So I had to wait for them to make a *3rd* version.

And by rounding up, I mean they round up from 5'10" to 6 feet and from 5'10.5" to 6'1". At some point I got sick and tried of people who were clearly several inches shorter than me claiming to be as tall. So, in my 40's I decided to start rounding up to 6'2". If you found an old drivers license it would say 6'1" if you look at my current one it would say 6'2". I did not get taller, but I'm not really lying about my height -- at least I am much less so than those who are 5'9" and give themselves the benefit of their boots to get them tantalizingly close to the magic height of 6 feet and say, "what the hell."

Yeah, I've had a similar path. I am 72.5" tall. You don't say "I'm six foot and a half inch". You add half inches if you're 5'7" or 5'10".

In fact, I forgot my extra half inch for 20 years until I got measured. Now I'll say not quite 6'1" or about 6'1", to avoid lying but to state factually that I am taller than the dividing line.

Yes, it's a dividing line. Tall is over 6', short is under 6'. It's binary.
