Appeasement is not working. Give the Muslims an inch and they will take a yard. As Turkey's president, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, said, "These descriptions are very ugly, it is offensive and an insult to our religion. There is no moderate or immoderate Islam. Islam is Islam and that's it." There are extremist Muslims and non-extremist Muslims, but there is only one Islam.Free speech is no longer free in Europe. And Islam is used as a crutch to rationalize criminal behavior. .... man charged with a crime has the right to the best defense he can make, but his lawyer ought not to offer preposterous arguments in mitigation when he is convicted. Kreisel’s two managers were arrested and accused of fraud and economic boycott. Sundde is also calling to ban them from leaving the country. Venezuela is currently struggling with the highest inflation in the world, estimated at 475 percent by 2016, according to the IMF. Its Bolivar lost 75 percent of its value since last September. The toys imported to Venezuela between 2008 and 2014 were stored in Kreisel warehouses to be sold with surcharges of up to 34,000 percent, Contreras said. Last week, the government ordered stores to slash prices by 30 percent, with business owners complaining that the move pushes them to bankruptcy. However, many customers welcomed the decision. We don't have a perfect form of government. Then again nothing man does is perfect. But, The ONT will take a capitalistic , representative republic form over any other form of government. Quotes Of The Day Quote IYou gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. In October 2014, according to court documents, Smith emailed Sarah Bolton, then dean of Williams College, claiming she had an argument with Doe. The argument, in which Doe allegedly called Smith “selfish” and told her he couldn’t even look at her, caused Smith to request a week off from classes to recover. At no point in the email did Smith allege that Doe had physically hurt her. On this day, December 13, 2000 Al Gore conceded the presidency to George W. Bush. Per Med Students racism is a public health crisis. The ONT guesses that the black on black crime in this country is a myth. “The election this week has left us angry, upset, and afraid,” the group wrote in a statement shortly after Trump’s upset victory over Hillary Clinton. “The racism, misogyny, xenophobia, transphobia, and homophobia that catapulted Donald Trump to the White House have pervaded our country and our health care system for hundreds of years.” So the med students are worried about the racism crisis. Why not worry about a real crisis? The ONT may have been born at night. But, it wasn't born last night. Be the first on your block to travel to eat at a Dutch Restaurant That Serves Up ‘My Little Pony’ Burgers Made From Actual Pony. A restaurant named the Unwanted Animal Kitchen, located in the Dutch city of Breda, is a “creative breeding ground for conscious citizens and radical ex-hippie squatters,” as Vice helpfully explains. The food truck, apparently started by an artist duo, has an unusual take on the concept of waste — basically, that humans shouldn’t treat animals like disposable products, and that one obvious fix is to turn them into food when they stop being so “useful.” The truck boasts a one-of-a-kind menu highlighting the “wild flavor” of animals otherwise doomed to die, like old horses, pigeons, canal crayfish, and parakeets. Twice a year, it hosts a five-course “Big Pest Dinner” that might feature coot or some rats. Goose croquettes and something called Bambi Balls were also early favorites, but the big-ticket item has always been the $18 My Little Pony burger, seen up at top-left with its pink-ribbon pony flag. There is something to be said for meatloaf, mashed potatoes and green beans or a hamburger jazzed up somewhat. Some interesting combos for your next burger. The U.S. has a treasure trove of historic sites to visit, but geography makes it nearly impossible to visit them all in one trip—or does it? Led by University of Waterloo professor William Cook, a team of researchers used Google Maps and the famous “traveling salesman" mathematics problem to figure out the shortest route to see every single site on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places, as Travel + Leisure reports. The trip covers more than 217,605 miles and includes more than 49,600 sites, ending back at the original starting point. In Europe, your rights are given to you by the government, that makes it clear it can take them away when it feels the need to.
In Anglo-parliamentary governments (UK, Canada), your rights are yours until the government takes them away when it feels the need to (see also: parliamentary supremacy, Notwithstanding clause). The US is unique because the Constitution makes clear your rights are yours and - in theory at least - the government can't take them away ("Congress shall make no law...", 10th Amendment). Trans-Medicine
With the invention of "gender" as something separate and distinct from biological sex, this need for immutability to elevate "trans-persons" to a similarly protected status is being applied with the greatest emphasis being on validating that children can be "born in the wrong body"... to the point of physically mutilating children and young adults and hoping them up on hormones -- even against a parents permission. This is so their electoral votes will be presumed valid when presented to Congress. See, https://tinyurl.com/qfl4rdh .Jello Jill's plans are working. Once, we sow Fear, Uncertainty, and Doubt, upon the electral college, we can then declair it null and void. Then we can explain it away in editorial pages of the NYT. Fen, Here's the Cliff Notes version of the widow Cray Cray story I was gonna tell you about. After moving to Texas in 2012, I answered a Craigslist ad by a widow who said she was ready to try again. She had lost hubby, was raising 3 boys, scared of dating but wanted to give it a shot. I answered, she seemed scared and hesitant but at the same time we hit it off. Things went well for a while, then in the fall things started getting weird. I wrote it off at first to being a scared widow, but crap kept happening. Mainly, whenever it got to the point of meeting people and being really in her life, something would happen and things would stall. Other stuff happened (the long version), we went back and forth like this for a while before I finally said the heck with it and ended it in early 2013. After this, it was always her who got back in touch with me. We tried again later in 2013, she got weird and ran off. Whatever. Go away now. She came back in 2014, same thing. She got weird went away. Whatever. After a while it was kind of a game. She would still send me an email once in a while, and text me on my birthday. That's it. Whatever. Fast forward to Thanksgiving. She texted me wishing me a belated happy birthday, started asking about my love life, said she didn't have one either, and wanted to meet for a drink. Stupid me, of course I said ok, because drinks and/or dinner always ended well IYKWIMAITYD. She sends me some pics of her son's wedding from May, and on one of them is a little info that shows me I could dig up some info about her. I google her name as it may have been when she was married, but nothing came up. Another first name with that last name came up at the school I know she works at. I thought this odd, so I clicked it, and there she was. Turns out after over 4 years, she was using a complete alias. After this shock, I started looking around some more. A man's name kept popping up that I knew as her dead husband. After a while though, I noticed that I could find no evidence this guy was actually dead. Once again, that sick feeling starts coming back. So I race home after work, decide to reactivate my Facebook account, and look him up. There he was, and there she was in some of his pictures. So all along this chick not only used a fake name with me (4 1/2 years), but also was no only NOT a widow, but was still married, and to the same guy she told me has been dead for almost 10 years now. They've been married over 30 years now. As I'm putting all this together the following morning, she texts me saying she can't meet this week, but wants to next week. After counseling with the Horde, I decided to not reply, and just deleted my old email and changed my phone number. So now we'll see if she tries to contact me some other way, but I kinda doubt it at this point. She may have gotten the hint. And THAT, Fenelon, is the story of the widow Cray Cray. Apropos of nothing in particular, I fixed the jam in my 3D printer today. I started out just figuring out the steps I needed to do but got down to the last screw to insert.....and I knew where it needed to be, but there was nothing behind the hole for the screw to catch threads on.
The manufacturer, Qidi, is somewhat infamous for their attention to support -- they include a full toolkit and a bunch of spare parts with the printer! -- so I started looking at youtube videos to try and see what part the screw was supposed to engage.....turns out, I thought the last screw was supposed to be this 1/4" guy, but I'd pulled that out of the spare parts bin -- the real screw was about 1-1/2 inches and was sitting in the spare parts bin. Once I saw that, it became obvious what it was supposed to thread into. I've got it printing a small test Cthulhu to make sure it's working properly. Estate number 2 should be wrapping up soon. Only one person has made any noise about "contesting" or legal crap, and he's a druggie that's been in and out of jail his whole life. Believe it or not, he's not a blood relative. Estate number 1 continues to drag on through the legal system as one creditor is holding everything up until he gets his day in court to get what he's "owed". He's only asking for half the value of the estate. Too bad for him he didn't take certain payments when he incurred the expenses, as he may have estoppled himself. I don't listen to much talk radio although I have really enjoyed Dennis Prager when i get a chance to listen, and I prefer Mark Steyn to Rush Limbaugh. However, whoever my husband had on this afternoon made good points. The election wasn't hacked. It's simple, really. The Brooklyn nitwits who thought Hillary had the rust belt sewed up were wrong. For goodness sakes, she didn't even care enough to show up in MI and I think she showed up in Philadelphia briefly. Nowhere out in small town PAal. Trump talked about jobs. She was talking about "womens' issues" as if the only thing important to women was gender equality and abortion. Her campaign was totally clueless appealing only the issues leftist on the East and West Coast cared about. Aside form that, Hillary is just a nasty person. There didn't have to be any hacking by Russia. Trump is just a harder worker than she is and if he doesn't care about people he fakes it quite well (and I think he does care and has more experience with working class people

Nailed it. Our founding was on a concept of natural rights - that these rights come from a higher source than mere government (whether nature or God), and that they are as necessary to the human spirit as air or water is to the body. Europe threw out all of the Enlightenment and went with Rousseau and his Noble Savage bullshit instead, and started dreaming about how to unmake society and get back to some kind of eternal childhood where everything would just work, because magic. Why should we give a fuck who destroys ISIS?
Who cares if it's Assad, the Russians, anybody? These fuckers need to die a horrible death, and if it's Assad who administers it, then more power to him. I don't think that's the issue; i think it is that they are going to take ISIS and everyone else in Aleppo, just to make sure. If you still have that Oatmeal Cookie recipe hand, mind giving it a 2nd run down the wires? And for everyone else. Best fries you can make at home, are in this here cookbook. http://tinyurl.com/jd3wvlg Lots of Morons have read Stephen H. Graham. He's a good guy, a great cook and a very talented writer. Got to hang with him and Val Prieto at Val's house in Miami a few years back. A whole lot of very good food, cold beer, premium sprits and fine cigars disappeared that day n' night. Whole lot of work in his fries recipe there. Starts with rending dozens of pounds of beef fat to get the right cooking oil for the fries. The effort is worth it though, I assure you. ++++ I think you are being unfair to the victim. The picture shows the HQ is located in a neighborhood. And, it looks like the Hell's Angels put out their own traffic cones in the street to try to illegally reserve spaces for themselves. The victim moves one of the cones so he can legally park on the street, like any citizen has a right to, and some criminals decided to shoot him. There is sometimes a price to pay for standing up to bullies, but I am on the side of those that have the courage to do so. I'm normally pretty much of a burger purist - mayo, ketchup, mustard, onions, tomato, lettuce - so it's not like I'm normally into adding weird shit to burgers.

Proposition 6 was an initiative statute that appeared on the November 3, 1998 California general election ballot. It was passed with 4,670,524 Yes votes, for 59.4 percent of the total votes cast. The proposition added sections 598c and 598d to the California Penal Code, making it a felony for any person in the state to possess, transfer, receive, or hold a horse (defined to include ponies, donkeys and mules) with the intent to kill it, or have it killed, where the person knows, or should have known, that any part of the carcass will be used for human consumption. An additional provision makes it a misdemeanor to sell horseflesh within the state as meat intended for human consumption. The law further allows for anyone previously convicted of selling horsemeat to be charged with a felony in any future prosecutions for the same offense.

@233 Larry Correia's "Monster Hunter" series is a good read.
John Ringo teamed up to write a prequel series too. I think "Monster Hunter International" which starts with the quoted line is free at Baen Books too. Just like a good dealer, at Baen Books, the first taste is free. /s ---------------- Correia went indy for the first two Monster Hunter books. Then someone let Baen know about him, and they signed him on. So they took his first two books and combined them with his third book (i.e. the first one that Baen published), and published them as a single collection. Baen likes to offer free sample chapters of all of their books, and for the collection, they essentially put up the entirety of the first book. Correia has also written the Grimnoir Trilogy (diesel punk magic in an alternate history '30s), and co-authored the Dead Six trilogy (modern action touching on conspiracy stuff with very vague hints of the supernatural) with Mike Kupari. That one got started when Kupari was posting a story in installments in an online forum. Correia liked the installments, and decided to flesh out one of the bystanders in one of Kupari's scenes. He got permission from Kupari to start adding to the story using the fleshed out bystander, and they ended up doing "I post, you post" installments for the story. After Baen signed Correia, they asked him if he had anything else, and he showed them the story he'd done with Kupari. Ringo was mentioned above. He read MH, wondered what monster hunting was like during the '80s, and ran with it. And after finishing the first two books in his trilogy, he asked Correia if it would be okay to publish them. Those burgers are probably all pretty tasty but they look to be way too messy to actually consider. Part of the attraction of a burger is that it's in a bun that you can eat with your hands and end up still fairly clean. I mean, a donut with icing for a bun? Who grabs a donut on the icing side?
Those burgers should probably be served in a bowl. With that, I would be happy with any of them, save the onions or sauerkraut. And I am assuming that there are no carrots to be found in that chili. Posted by: ThePrimordialOrderedPair at December 14, 2016 02:44 AM (zc3Db) 562

I remember some years ago when I had to deal with a third call to the cable company, so as to deal with channel-loss after their box needed to be replaced.
The first call, I went "digital" and pressed ten numerals, so as to get to my issue. After thinking it was settled, I waited and I got pissed. The second call was to get an operator/technician that I could speak to, live. After the third call, I was ready to rain-down venom, vengeance and bile. Instead, I told the woman on the line that... "If this is the worst thing that happens to me today, I am truly blessed." Not only did she correct the problem, but she thanked me and told me that she wished all her calls were like that. God allows for perspective. I don't ever want to go back to the demanding, nit-picking, always-right, self-important jackass I was in my twenties. ...I fail all the time, but I yearn for the Man I was on that day. I think that the biggest problem for me is that I used to expect more from others than I would ever expect from myself. I also suspect that this is true of most critical thinking people.
Being able to reject that line of thinking is a plus, in my opinion. Another problem that I used to go through was when something bad happened "Why me O Lord, Why Me!" Then one day after a loss, which I will not go into, I was again sitting there thinking, why did it have to me? Then something forced a thought through my thick skull. "Why not you?" You something special where you don't have to deal with problems millions of others deal with every day? You something special? Yeah buddy, you keep thing that. Why not you? There is no reason for me not to deal with problems that others have dealt with and done so with success. End of my rant. Posted by: Tim in Illinois at December 14, 2016 05:44 AM (d76uN) 637

"Is there a max rate of fire?"
There are suggested max rates of fire. Any Artilleryman will tell that rule goes out the window when needed. Keeping the Bore free from heat and sparks is basically the only limitation on that rate. Having your powder cook off before you want it to can lead to unhealthy problems. There is also the Barrel wear factor. If you are shooting like somebody's life is depending on it though, that won't be a problem either. Posted by: Tim in Illinois at December 14, 2016 06:34 AM (d76uN) 679
I once saw I video of some enthusiastic jihadi do himself in by feeding a mortar tube too quickly.
Posted by: fluffy at December 14, 2016 06:27 AM (jw2Xw) Probably cooked off a round in the tube. That can happen. If he was shooting a Russian or Chinese made Mortar, they happen more often because of the quality of the metal. Posted by: Tim in Illinois at December 14, 2016 06:37 AM (d76uN) 680

What was common in Iraq were Russian and ChiCom made 82mm Mortars. The Russians at least, were selling the Iraqis the ammo by the ton, not by the round. The crap was old as snot and highly unreliable. Posted by: Tim in Illinois at December 14, 2016 06:44 AM (d76uN) 683
