The Media Has Ring-Led Social Media Hate Campaigns For Years.
Only When That Same Social-Pressure Tactic is Directed At They Themselves Do They Suddenly Complain.

Here's a storified version of some tweets I dashed off a week ago, when the media began complaining that reporters were being yelled at and made to "feel unsafe" by some Trump supporters. And Trump himself, calling them out.

Thanks to @trueholygoat for that.

Mollie Hemingway made many of these same points on Howard Kurtz's show this weekend. (Note: She hat-tipped me for "inspiration," so it's all cool. Sometimes my brilliance is so potent and insidious people can't help being infected by it)

Transcribed quotes at the link above, video below.

I don't like any of this ghoulish "we will slander you and socially ostracize you and even kind of Threaten you if you say something we don't like" "Call-Out Culture" (as the SJW's call it) world we live in.

But the media, as I say, made this world, brick by brick by vicious Outrage Scalp-Hunting brick, and only now that these ugly tactics of herd animal exclusion are turned on them do they finally complain --

-- but only of the tactic turned on they themselves. Everyone else is still subject to being frightened into silence for fear of being hunted by the Internet Wolfpacks the media itself cheers on and directs.

9 The utter gall of these worthless crapweasels. They have been slandering conservatives for decades. They have been in the Democrats backpockets since the 30s. And the newscasts have been 99-1 against Trump. And they have the nerve to complain when someone calls them on it. They are damn lucky they haven't had me on one of their shows. It would be nothing but a series of bleeps has I heaped scorn on their heads.

10 Now the Trafalgar Group is out with a poll of Michigan showing Trump up 49-47. This follows their poll of PA showing Trump up a point.

Either they were hired by the Trump campaign to gin up phony numbers or they will be VERY in-demand for the midterms in 2018.

Something similar to this is happening as far as people at the polling sites come election day.

The left is screaming about the fear they have and intimidation of conservatives poll watching.

Yet, the Global Government bodies want to come in and watch the elections - people from outside our country, and don't forget the Black Panthers with billy clubs outside, directly outside the polling doors. Nothing was done. Nothing. And this is all okay.

But, peaceful poll watchers? Horrified! O.M.G.!

Fraud watchers? Monsters!

It's a point of mockery among the NT crowd but, God Help Us, Trump =fights=. Or, I don't even know if it's fighting, as much as not apologizing much for things. Accuse Romney of giving a woman cancer, he'd meekly apologize.

145 But the media, as I say, made this world, brick by brick by vicious Outrage Scalp-Hunting brick, and only now that these ugly tactics of herd animal exclusion are turned on them do they finally complain --

-- but only of the tactic turned on they themselves. Everyone else is still subject to being frightened into silence for fear of being hunted by the Internet Wolfpacks the media itself cheers on and directs. --Ace--

Which is why every once in a while someone jumps the shark and says something violent, like in last thread.
Or Diogenes Lamp.

Because it will not get better, it will get worse.
Everyone else has to conform to the officially acceptable response to everything, or else.

Or else you get fired from Mozilla.
Or fired before you land in Africa for vacation.
Or fined a quarter-mil for not baking a cake.
Or beaten in the streets for a MAGA hat.

Will we all just duck our heads and keep our opinions to ourselves when it counts, lest we become the proud nail?

What legal non-violent approach exists to counter what is happening now, and why isn't it being used in spades?
Not condoning violence here, just being honest. People will get fed up and use violence, it's human nature.
It will get out of control, and we'll be lucky....

i know we're not supposed to talk about violence here, but talking about the talk about violence, is that out of bounds too?

I want to see the people that are paying these whores, and the next whores, and the whores after that, taken down.

The
"press" is a big typographic machine that would allow any person (such
as Nathan Hale or Thomas Paine) to print pamphlets. Freedom of the press
is guaranteed by the 1st Amendment and it should be. It should be
recognized clearly that "the media" is not "the press." The constitution
prohibits titles of nobility, and there is no right for some
self-appointed group to claim nobility for themselves by falsely calling
themselves "the press."

I am no real fan of the direction Teddy

In addition tThe Federalist writers are very sympathetic to the sentiments and frustrations of the conservative base. (Again, unlike the NR writers who are competing with HuffPo to out-sneer and out-mock "deplorable" working class voters.)

186 Newt really ripped into MSM on Meet the Press yesterday as the worst actors this cycle. He went on to say that Clinton Cash Corruption was a hundred violations of law including the Emoluments clause in the Constitution which prohibits any US officer or their spouse from getting anything in value from foreigners. Chuck Todd had no response, thanked Newt for coming by and cut to commercial.

Seriously the coverage of Clinton Corruption was initially dismissed by MSM as "no smoking gun," then the DOJ interference wasn't reported, and then corroborating leaked e-mails dismissed as Russian forgeries. Honest coverage should have killed Hillary's chances. Instead, we may vote the country into a Constitutional crisis.

I profoundly disagree. Have you paid attention at all to presidential campaigns over the last 36 years? Reagan was a senile war-monger. War Hero G. H. W. Bush was called a wimp. War Hero Bob Dole was portrayed as a doddering old man. G. W. Bush was a low-IQ country moron. Romney, the beau-ideal of what Democrats say they like in Republicans, was savaged as an out-of-touch millionaire. It doesn't matter. That's a ballot issue here in Colorado. If the parties want the state to pay for it, they would have to accept the results of a statewide primary in which any registered voter can take part, regardless of party registration. The parties are free to hold a caucus outside of this party structure.

I'm of two minds; I don't like the state being forced to pay for what parties do. But I remember how caucuses went in Virginia, where the best organized (but not always electable) candidate won.

If prominent Republican politicians at all levels--local, state, national--refrained from speaking with the most egregious and partisan offenders of the press and stated on camera (or radio) exactly why they were not cooperating, that might make a dent.

They could say something like, "You are not objective. You are not fair. You are working as a de facto operative of the Democratic Party and I am not playing along."

It would only work with a unified front.

See, this is what I don't get. The NeverTrumper Republicans are not a big part of the GOP, although the MSM sure likes to highlight them.

Outside of them, what NEW group have the Dems added? The women I know who voted for Hill also voted for Obama. Same with the blacks.

To offset the NeverTrumpers, Trump is pulling in blue collars who have never voted or have voted D in the past, he's getting a larger percentage of the black vote and a certain percentage of the Bernie people. Those last two groups might not be huge - but there are also the people who will stay home tomorrow - a smaller percentage of blacks and young people.

So if the base that elected Obama has shrunk* and Trump has widened his base, why do polls show leads for her?

*The one Dem group that has gotten bigger is the illegal vote, which is frightening indeed.

He had a winning message, he just needed some discipline. I'm sure some of his campaign people told him this time and time again. Don't go with the Populist Party. There was a progressive outfit by that name in the Midwest in the 19th and early 20th century. When I was in college I sent off to the address for them listed in a book (it was a time of exploration; I also sent off for info to the Libertarians, Hamiltonian Party, and the Expansionist Party, among others). Turns out the people who got the name were a bit more in favor of wearing brown clothing than I liked to be. And now I'm on that list in the FBI archives somewhere.

I was wondering about this last night. I mean, you want as many votes as possible, and losing any long-time R voters obviously hurts, but are there really enough NeverTrump votes to toss it to Hillary? Are they as large in numbers as usually reliable Ds not voting for Hill-dog, or are they just louder and more prominently displayed? I get the feeling they are comprised mostly of the hard-core Rubio-right media class and those who wish to associate themselves with them.

Yes, like and respect him or not, he has never backed off an inch from a media crapstorm that made the Palin, Romney, and McCain attacks by the media seem tame. And he did it without an ounce of support by the Republican Party; heck many often rushed to the microphones to undermine him. And he was attacked by the neverTrumpers as well.

I detested some of the things he has said. I get his weaknesses for sure. But he has fought hard. Even if you don't like him and can't support him, take a second and think about how often you've probably bitched about how great it would be to see someone who stands up to the media and doesn't bow to the pc warriors. If so, maybe offer help to the single/divorced women at your church? They could always use help fixing stuff in their houses, and that's a good way to get to know them, and see if they are date/marriage material??

We hear it every election when things don't work out.

Some elections I don't think it matters all that much, some do. 2008 it didn't, 2012 was winnable, etc.

A more disciplined Trump without shooting himself in the foot so much would have put Hillary away comfortably.

Just how I see it.

Posted by: Maritime

Trump is going to win. Helmut Norpoth has $500 on it. IBD tpp has Trump up 2. He has the mo in every BG state with the exception of Nevada (which may yet surprise). The republicans won every election that Obamacare was on the ballot. Obviously with Romney in 2012, Romneycare was on the ballot as much as Obamacare was.

The women won't be as big for Hillary as they say, nor will African Americans.

For what its worth DOJ will have poll watchers in Miami, Philly and others; and the Republicans will have poll watchers in Cleveland.

One final word on the subject: Lawnsigns.
