I would dispute that the consequences are unintended. Divide and conquer is a strategy that is as old as civilization, and the left in particular embraces the tactic. Importing a bunch of outsiders who are ethnically, religiously, and civilizationally at odds with the native population makes for some fault lines that will be easy to exploit.

Yes -- if he does well in one state, he will likely do well in others. In that scenario, we could see Trump with 300 electoral votes before the Dems start litigation.
Of course, we should expect the worst if we can manage it. I plan to watch Fox or Fox Business live telling myself that Hillary will win, but at the same time recording MSNBC or CNN or some other MSM network in the background.
If Hillary wins, I will delete the MSM recording unwatched.
But if Trump wins, its schadenfreude time, baby. Fire up the DVR the next night with popcorn and watch the crushing of their hopes and dreams.
But I'm not expecting that, of course.

Talked to her this afternoon - +300 early voters in 3 hours, people commenting about not having voted since the 1950s... as a poll worker she couldn't ask which way they were voting. My mother died of cancer - I don't know if it was the primary site, but it metastasized to her lungs. she was a non-smoker.
6 months from diagnosis to death. She had had a bad cough for months before that and the fucking doctor gave her cough medicine.
Fuck cancer and prayers for those who suffer from it.

Wuppertal, I think, was the site of one of the first devastating Allied bombings (smallish town, basically wiped out). Duisburg - can't recall .... maybe some Party-related thing. eDiscovery and digital forensics can certainly filter out duplicate emails, however the question I have is how many emails did the FBI have in their possession during the first part of the investigation, and what is the potential for duplicates in the second phase?
assume arguendo the FBI had 75,000 emails in what I'll call phase one and they were 100% duplicates. that is 11.5% of 650,000.
The ability to "review" the remaining 88.5% or 575,000 emails within a week is highly dependent upon keyword lists. so some questions I have:
1. Was the FBI confident they knew every email address and alias used by Clinton during the time covered by the remaining 575,000 emails?
2. did the FBI have a comprehensive list of all SAP code names and keywords to determine what if any classified data existed on Weiner's laptop?
3. was there any classified data on the laptop regardless of being directly sent or received by Clinton and was there any evidence of remote access trojan type malware on the laptop?
4. did they interview Weiner and Abedin regarding how the emails ended up on this laptop?
5. was there any evidence contained within these emails that Clinton, Mills, or any of the other subjects granted conditional immunity committed perjury?
anyone can conduct a half assed review with a very limited subset of keywords like hrod17 and hrod29 in eight days, but that is certainly not a thorough examination of the data.

I'm me, and as an employer, I'm assessing the judgment of prospective employees, and entirely justified in doing so. Tattoos shout that the bearer has shitty judgment. Someone - like yourself - stupid enough to pay top dollar to endure the discomfort of getting "tats" (or, as high school graduates would say, "tattoos"), and then later to pay top dollar and endure more discomfort to have them removed, after they inevitably fall out of fashion (you didn't anticipate that, did you? Dumb shit. ALL fashions fall out of fashion eventually.) manifestly has shitty judgment.
Bonus question: if you had any serious savings - flight of fantasy here - would you entrust them to the judgment of someone with extensive tattoos? If you have an IQ above room temperature, you wouldn't, because you see visible evidence that that guy has poor judgment.

It's easier to get away with the tats if you have a real and fairly rare marketable skill. A lot of the welders at my work have them and I have no problem. But if I owned a Hooters restaurant there would likely be some discrimination in hiring. And depending on city tats would be necessary or banned. Boobs would be the only mandatory requirement.

I think the judgement thing is less a problem than the image issue. For many businesses, the image they project to the public is extremely important to them. They are trying to sell themselves as having employees with a certain level of professionalism. Tattoos to at least some people have negative connotations. Even if the manager knows the prospect personally and knows them to be competent and highly ethical, that isn't enough. Projecting the right image to the clientele is a must and anything that gets in the way of that is not tolerated.

Well, I'd say "nice suit, dude". It probably would not register upon me that the suit was worth $7000, though. I have a hard time processing the idea of clothes that expensive.

Kind of describes my outlook on tattoos, in general.
Earn 'em.
Way back when, a tattoo was a mark of experience, a commemoration, a trophy, and yes, sometimes a memorial.
They marked stories to be told over a cold beer in a dim bar, or warm campfire on a cold night.
Those, I respect.
These days, there is the species of highly artistic tattoos, some of them bordering on being high art in their design, skill and execution. Not my thing, but I can appreciate the commitment.
Conversely though, there's the cheap strip-center, poorly done feral tattoo, be it redneck themed or worse, the tribal tattoo, applied with full ignorance as to it's characters or meaning. Sure, the tatt guy told you it means "courage". You just go on b'livin' that, okay?
At the bottom, of course, are the trusty ol' gang and prison tattoos.
The first two, I find non-objectionable and often flat out acceptable as to taste, employability and void of any adverse reflection on the employer.
The last two? Well, with #3, it's Buyer Beware.
And with #4, it's the Buyers Gotta Be INSANE! You'd hire THAT? Sure, for your used tire shop or auto parts salvage yard, I guess?
And even those aren't hard and fast rules. I know a guy I'd stand shoulder to shoulder with, he's riddled with gang tatts. But then, also, he's fully turned his life around in Christ, and his job, home, wife, kids and highly productive life speak to the depth of that renewal.
So, he's the exception that proves the rule.
Rules like those need to have some flexible guardrails along the edges. Brittle guardrails shatter and break, and end up not being of much use at all.

Back in the day, the fashion was to wear shoulder length hair and bell bottoms. I did (tell anybody and I'll swear to God you're lying). When shoulder length hair and bell bottoms went out of fashion - as INEVITABLY they would, I a) got a haircut, and b) shitcanned bell bottoms. Total time elapsed: 1 hour. Total expense elapsed: maybe $5 (for the haircut, what it cost back then).
So an hour later (on the outside) I was good to go. No one would ever know I'd followed the fashion, which in case was harmless.
Now these retards in getting tattoos a) spent beaucoup bucks, b) endured no small discomfort, c) hurt their employment/ advancement prospects, and later d) will either i) spend beaucoup bucks and considerable discomfort again in getting said tattoos removed, or ii) will accept spending the rest of their working lives wielding a mop.
This bespeaks profoundly lousy judgment. When you're hiring people for management, you're hiring for judgment, i.e, people who can anticipate future events. Lack of judgment in an applicant means you're looking at a janitor, or other menial laborer, who needs to be told what to do, and most certainly is not suitable for telling others what to do.

Sad to report, their daughter inherited their tattoos, and they didn't mix well. Poor kid. Just one example: Eagle on Dad's arm, heart on Mom's, too heart-wrenching to relate what the kid's mixed version looked like....

you assume the tattoo is the only memorial, there is a scholarship fund as well started by members of his unit and turned over to the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation. Several of us are extremely active in the annual fund raising campaign in several states in his name. but none of that captures the extremely personal connection in an appropriate way.

She was looking through the door, anticipating my coming running.
When she wanted out, she'd go to the door. If you didn't come, she'd go through increasingly more annoying things to finally get you to come. My father, who'd go to sleep on the couch got her to doing something amazing. If you were lying down, she'd come up and meow right in your ear. That's how she'd wake my father up!
She knew what your ear was for.

I was watching some show about dogs. A family's dog seemed to know when the father was coming home from work. Their deduction: our dog can tell time. He knows what time daddy comes home from work.
Well, according to what is known about dog intelligence and all that, a dog has no concept of time at all, much less any ability to tell it as we think of it. So how does Fido know when the guy is coming home?
There were several theories by experts on dog behavior. One was sense of smell. Huh, you may ask? Well, when the man leaves, his scent slowly dissipates over time. The dog associates a certain intensity of scent with the man coming home.
That proved to be the correct one. They did some things to screw up that scent dissipation, by having the wife get some of his undershirts he had worn and put them out a few hours after he had left.
That did the trick. Fido was not up on the couch looking out the window at 5:30PM or so. He was surprised when the man came home.

Oh I agree about Hillary's incompetence and treasonous behavior. I brought up Syria and Putin because Peters said Trump is "Putin's man".
Right now all Putin (even if Putin does not realize it yet) has to do is kick back and do nothing, because America is screwed if Hillary is elected, both at home and abroad. That proves Putin is not prime danger number one, but our own darn political elite...starting with the candidate Peters voted for!

Around here, wheat, barley, canola, and field peas. They are combining wheat in the field across the road. Field peas are mostly already off. They grow a little feed corn around here, but you don't see too may cornfields. Sweet table corn is grown down around the town of Taber in southern Alberta. And, curiously enough, there are small crops of sweet corn grown in northern Alberta, where warm microclimates in the valleys of the Peace River, and its large tributary, the Smoky River, trap sunlight and warmth to extend the growing season.

I toured a guy's collection somewhere in Washington State, and he had '32 radiator shells and roadster bodies hanging from the rafters in a vast barn. Not one or two, but a dozen or more. Plus several complete, operable hot rods. And hundreds of collectible cars, mostly performance-oriented.

It's not that. There are many things that the government has powers to do that citizens don't. You can look at the whole criminal justice system - no matter how it's built - as one simple example.
Jefferson liked to make silly statements such as his definition of "tyranny" that sounded cute but didn't hold up to even 3 seconds of consideration. Jefferson was an idiot who really had an awful concept of what America was and would become.
Tyranny is when the government dictates actions (and thoughts, in the worst of instances) to the citizen and when the citizen is considered more to be property of the government than independent agent. For instance, in our time, when America makes laws concerning things that Americans are not allowed to do in foreign nations. Except for waging war against America, this country has no right to dictate any laws outside of our borders, and Americans are not property of this nation so as to be bound to any American laws outside of American territory.
It is not a matter of something being legal for the government but illegal for a citizen (that is a situation that MUST often occur in any nation) but when there is no law on the government and/or selectively enforced law on the citizen. That, and my mention above of the citizen being property of the government, form the bases for tyranny.

I don't know if there is any correlation between octane rating and flash point. But Diesel engines are also way more efficient in heavy vehicles, which means you can get more range on whatever amount of fuel you are able to carry. Range is very important in mechanized warfare.

I don't know why people have become such fans of him. Other than that, I don't see him having been instrumental in much of anything. The Declaration would have been done at least as well without him. Big whoop.
The guy was a real asswipe. He was nasty and mean. ANd he was at his nastiest when he was screaming idiotic ideas at people that he would turn around and totally violate, himself.
I can't figure out why anyone likes that guy. His ideas of government were primitive, at best.

Crooked Shrillary had a rally nearby this afternoon (4pm) at Grand Valley State University (GVSU). Trump's rally was scheduled for 11pm, doors opened at 8pm.
7:08pm - Mrs. DIG and I parked the car in a garage, and walked two blocks to the site (Devos Place). The line stretched from the entrance, around the building, and towards the river. We finally reached the end of the line halfway across the river on the foot bridge. We stayed there talking to ourselves and our linemates, and watching people stream past us to get in line until about 8:15p, when it started to creep forward. Two former military guys were ahead of us, a lieutenant in the National Guard who looked like a 20yo kid, and a slightly older Army guy with his wife and three small children. Behind us were three GVSU students who had attended the Hillary rally earlier in the day. They said it was crowded there, and showed us pics of them very near the front. The FAB was in her Mao red dress. She apparently talked for 45 minutes.
8:15p - 9p -- The line slowly crept forward. By this time, the line went across the river to the Gerald R. Ford Museum, headed north, then snaked back south right along the riverbank. I'm too lazy to actually measure the length of it, but I guess between 0.5 and 1.0 mile long.

I have had my belly button pierced for almost 20 years, and my nose was pierced about 15 years ago, (small ring, perfect placement). Even my best friend - who originally was horrified when I told her - liked it when she saw it. Tempted to get a secret tat somewhere that is small and meaningful, but worry about how it will look later. 12:30am - 1:05am: Trump arrived, and gave his stump speech. He called out the media, told us that when he heard Crooked Hillary was coming to Michigan, he just had to come back. I estimate that there were at least 10,000 people present, which amazes me for a Monday night at 11pm, when people waited more than 4 hours to get in. They said that if Michigan turns red, Trump will win.

As for Thomas Jefferson, I have read numerous books on him and his life. Yes, he initially was in favor of the French Revolution because he saw it as similar to the US effort of the citizens to rid themselves of rule by Kings. However, when he learned of the excesses going on he immediately reversed his opinion. You have to remember there was a great time lag in those days in getting news from the European Continent.
He was, in fact, one of the greatest President's if not the greatest. And no, I am not going to stick around and argue about it.

It was something I remember from years ago about changes to grammar since those days. And, since that was never my bag much, I couldn't even think of the proper terms for things to properly search and re-read about. Anyway, it's about gerunds taking objects.
Jefferson wrote something like this:
The eliminating the office was necessary.
That's a gerund serving as the subject, but it sound wrong. We would say today "The eliminating of the office was necessary" or "Eliminating the office was necessary".
In those days, the first form was completely fine, didn't sound funny at all, and I've been trying to track down the exact rules on that.

Maybe it is time to go Galt. Reduce my footprint as close to 0 as possible. Accumulate wealth by being self reliant and turning to barter that avoids taxes. Do whatever I can to crush the economy that enriches the Clinton machine.
I used to think about giving all of my inheritance to close relatives but some are showing their true colors (Red). Perhaps, in the end, everything will go to a Haitian orphanage that is run by a consortium of churches that makes sure it all goes for the orphans. And is deductible against the death tax.

Nevil Shute wrote a novel In the Wet that had multiple votes as a way to get a better class of elected official. This was a novel of a fictional future commonwealth.
Everyone got one vote, then you got more votes if you were a minister, lived overseas (or stationed overseas), stayed married until your kids were 14, made a fair amount of money, had an advanced degree, and the last one was the Queen's to give. An intriguing starting point for political reform.
Just wanted to throw out the idea. Since pbho has been elected this is proof that our educational, governance, and informational systems are fatally flawed.
