1 Good Morning Morons. Today is Sunday, November 06, 2016. On this day in 1935 Edwin Armstrong presented his paper "A Method of Reducing Disturbances in Radio Signaling by a System of Frequency Modulation" to the New York section of the Institute of Radio Engineers. This became the basis for FM radio which had better music capability than AM radio. Back when I was young FM radio was largely used for nothing but classical music because it was thought that they should make use of the better signal than pop music. It didn't take long for that to go away though.

100 Been lurking here a long ,long time. Now I'm trying to get off the internet and away from the news, hell, away from everyone. My aunt took her grand daughter to a Hillary rally over the summer. Our well educated neighbors took their daughters, who I watch in after care, to see Katy Perry and Hillary.Hillary can do no wrong. I was hoping that maybe the lack of yard signs meant something. I'm beginning to fear that many are quietly voting for Hillary and not sitting it out. Living close to a university here in SE Pa. I'm surrounded by the smug, progressives.
In the end, I believe these people are voting against the average American, who they find an embarrassment, rather than for Hillary, which is even more depressing than outright support for Hillary.

My neighbors might not like Hillary that much, but they HATE Trump - and a vote reluctantly cast for Hill counts as much as a passionate vote for Trump.

Enough to outvote the women who are voting because vag and the smug, deluded professional class, who flatter themselves that they are among the elite?

Just a few counties in some of the swing states, and voila, you get the results you want. I would nail to the wall the balls of every person violation voting laws.

Same here.

I honestly believe that if Trump loses, it will be because of fraud. Our ballot security is nonexistent. It's a damn joke.

I believe that Obama won legitimately in 2008. There was a great deal of enthusiasm for Mr. Historic First, and many people were tired of eight years of Republican control of the White House. It was only natural that they voted for change. (I'm sure the conveniently-timed stock market crash didn't hurt him, either.)

I still think that he won in 2012 by fraud. He won just enough votes in four key states to win the electoral college. Remember that one of his first acts as President in 2009 was to put the Census Bureau under the direct control of the White House. I believed then and still believe that it was done for the purpose of rigging elections. All of that detailed demographic data would come in handy for identifying key precincts to focus on, for both GOTV and fraud.

And note that for the past four years, millions of illegals have been carefully scattered around the country by the Federal government. Again, I think they have been placed in key precincts. Tipping enough of them can tip whole states.

At least Trump will challenge the results if he suspects any hanky-panky, unlike the rest of the GOPe.

191 the smug, deluded professional class, who flatter themselves that they are among the elite?

There are not very many people in that class; it is simply a very small percentage of people versus the entire population.

The stat I saw was on the % of Blacks voting for Trump. The number was 19% as opposed to 10% for Romney. That is enough to subtract 1% from Hillary's vote and add 1% to Trumps. When you add in that Blacks don't seem to be voting as heavily in this election as in 2008 or 2012 the result is another % shift from Hillary - although that does not add to Trump's vote - it does affect the % of the vote for each.

199 "And note that for the past four years, millions of illegals have been

yeah, replacing our citizenry with compliant third worlders to fill Dem voting rolls was the plan from the 1965 immigration act, where they promised "if you like your demographics you can keep your demographics". Or even more bold, they just promised demographics would not change.

So now that people finally realize they are importing invading "armies", they just need to cheat a little more to defeat US for good. It is part of the globalist plan, knowing Americans would not surrender their sovereignty willingly.

The complicit MFM mocks Trump for talking of vote fraud (undermines our democracy) while Obama tells dreamers (and all illegals) to go ahead and vote. And they resist all true the vote efforts with their leftist thugs in black robes packing the courts.

Typically, the replacement of the water line from the meter to the house is the financial responsibility of the home owner.

There is a new method sometimes called the Torpedo, or something like that which allows the pipe to be replaced with less disturbance of the yard and sidewalk.

Like I said though, I just sat in for their drummer a couple of times and played side percussion stuff for em a couple of other times.
Our 3 piece is the front man and bass player on the Dashboard Believer cd. The front man is playing accoustic guitar pretty much exclusively. He might break out an electric for a few songs the Saturday after Thanksgiving coming up. Maybe.

Thanks again for taking the time to check them out.

And thanks Vic. Still... 650 is quite a bit of money for me. Especially not knowing if I'll still be working next year. They keep dipping into the highway fund and if there are layoffs I'll be one of the first to go,,, again.

Posted by: grammie winger - Fly the W at November 06, 2016 09:13 AM (dFi94)

The clocks have to change because the amount of daylight changes. At the winter solstice, at least for us grammie, there's only about 9.5 hours of daylight. On the summer solstice, it's about 15. If we stayed on standard time, the sun would rise at around 4:30 am and set around 7pm. For most people, they would sleep through several hours of sunlight, and only have an hour or two of daylight to enjoy after work. Conversely, if we don't change back in the winter, the sun wouldn't rise until almost 8am, and while it wouldn't set till after 5, what is there to do outside after work in the winter??!!? Poop to that!

It's a pain adjusting the clocks and ourselves, but I think it's worth it.

If we held an Art V convention and required a person to pay some amount of federal taxes to be able to vote in a federal election that shit would stop. In the early days of the nation you had to be a "property" owner (and male) to vote. That assured you paid taxes because property taxes and excise taxes were the only taxes.

329 Good Morning Morons. Today is Sunday, November 06, 2016. On this day in 1935 Edwin Armstrong presented his paper "A Method of Reducing Disturbances in Radio Signaling by a System of Frequency Modulation"
------------

And now for the rest of the story:

Armstrong also developed the Superheterodyne method. He was a brilliant engineer and held many patents.

Of course his FM system (on old radios you will find 'Armstrong System' stickers') was patented. The problem was that RCA under David Sarnoff ( who was a first-class bastard) used Armstrong's system without paying.

Armstrong filed suit, but what followed was the battle of one guy against the might of RCA. RCA simply crushed Armstrong with the usual array of powerful lawyers and procedures.

After years of being bullied by RCA, he just couldn't take it anymore. Armstrong one day left a heart-breaking letter for his wife, put on his hat, gloves, and coat, and walked out of the window of his New York apartment.

I don't buy that. If that were true then Trump could have just sat back weeks ago. It's not like he is doing of saying anything knew these last few weeks, he's giving the same old stump speech as always just like all politicians do.

In essence, what the candidates are doing right now is a GOTV effort, say as every cycle. Every single speech, they all encourage their voters to get out and vote. At a lot of these speeches, they have voter registration sign up stations.

We have one of the lower voter participation rates of any democracy in the world. A Trump victory this year relies on getting people who haven't voted in a long time to get out and vote. GOTV efforts really do matter, even for the not so dim.

Watched Shark Tank Fri night and Cuban sat there with his usual smugness, lecturing ,etc.

They showed a preview of next week's show. Instead of Robert, Chris Sacca is guesting and the clip showed he and Cuban getting into a heated argument over some tech pitch from an entrepreneur. Chris told Cuban that it's too bad he doesn't like it when someone knows more about tech than he does. Cuban shot back he does know about this particular pitch and Sacca tells Cuban it's amazing he made any money in tech.

I have liked Sacca on the show because he will not take any crap from Cuban. That preview was awesome.

Agree. I was dismayed at the number of people in a diner in Columbus Ohio last week being interviewed at Fox who said they hadn't made up their mind yet.

Because , IMO, the issues don't matter to them as much as 'personality". Which is a terrible way to vote.

Mr.Jen and I spend a lot of time looking at the questionnaires sent to our local candidates for things such as school board, sheriff, regents, clerks, etc. that are done by the League of Women Voters. Vote 411.org can be accessed and with a few entries of your zip code, etc. your particular ballot candidates will come up and answers to questions that were sent to the candidates will be posted. At least we have some idea as to their positions, philosphy, and resumes. Because what happens locally is just as important as nationally.

Recommend Vote411.org to become more educated about your local and state races.

Participation rates are low because many people feel there is no one to vote "for"; only the lesser of two evils. Give them a candidate that gets them fired up and they will vote.

I wouldn't kid yourself. There is a sizable portion of our side that is also apathetic about voting. Listen to the conversation here everyday, many think that no matter who wins a given election, nothing will happen. And if we, a very engaged part of the electorate think like that, imagine what less engaged voters think and do.

As I noted above, the RNC has invested $100 million since 2012 to organize and increase GOTV efforts. They are out knocking on doors and doing things like offering transportation to vote and help with absentee voting.

No doubt, the Dems do a lot of bussing and bribing but that's not so much GOTV as it is cheating or buying votes.

He needs to make the networks understand that they will not be allowed anywhere near the White House until the most egregious of the "reporters" are in the unemployment line.

I don't think Assange is anything other than a scumbag but that doesn't mean what he is dumping now is false and until someone can demonstrate it is I'll continue to look at the content and not the person dumping it.

388 You can always trust Wikileaks.

After all, they put out a video of US Army helicopters in Iraq and
titled it Collateral Murder and that was totes accurate, right? Right?

---So what?
You can trust that documents released by wikileaks are true because they've never put out anything that wasn't.
What you're bitching about is that they expressed an opinion about the collateral damage that everyone knows occurs in wartime. You really should learn the difference between opinion and fact.
*For the record I am entirely indifferent to civilian casualties in foreign theaters. If you didn't want to die, you should have corrected your government before we had to.

389 So I donned my MAGA hat to gauge reaction out here in Philly burb land that used to be a perennial GOP gimme, but now, not so much due to influx of every kind of creature, not just Philadelphia refugees.

Yesterday at Farmer's Market, it was a big fat "meh", except for the lady who owns the Greek stand downstairs, she's been a Hillarhoid fan since way back and once I found out I stopped frequenting her place even though her food is...bangin'.

This morning, I decided to test the Belly of the Beast, Whole Foods. Reactions varied from a woman peeking around the breakfast bar with a look: "Is that woman wearing what I think she's wearing?"

to guy at coffee station in front of me, he turned around to apologize for taking so long. When he saw my hat, he said: I Love your hat!, and chuckled. He was an employee.

This was immediately followed by a Beta Male shopper discussing with an Old Duffer shopper, something about: "I agree, he has no character. I agree with you." And I knew my hat had triggered their convo because I've been going to this WF since it opened. Trust me, have not overheard one dialogue about "character", ever.

Part II follows.

---
There's not really any question that they kill people. That's the point of them. I celebrate them when they do it.

If you've got some weird philosophy where killing is always wrong, or you don't think the cause is worth it, it's not surprising that you see that killing as murder. That's the whole reason we make exceptions for conscientious objectors.

Again you're whining that because they express an opinion you don't like, we should discount the strict facts that they've put into the public spotlight. Maybe we could get away with it if *anyone* else was doing it. But there isn't, so I choose to overlook their flaws.

395 The Whole Foods experiment - Part II

I sat down in a conspicuous place to eat breakfast, normally I dine in the pub because it's dark and quiet and I don't have to look at humanity milling about.

But high visibility was necessary for this experiment, so I sat in the regular cafe. Pretty much nothing happened until a woman came real close, I was about to ask if she needed a place to sit - then I realized she was glaring at my hat. She then proceeded to pull napkins out of the holders on my table, in an agitated fashion, then stomped out.

I was in the middle of clearing off the table to leave, so I gave no indication I even noticed what she was doing. She was a person of color. She was signaling disrespect. Major disrespect, as in, if the incident had occurred on her turf rather than mine, she would have jumped bad.

What does this prove? Nothing except the players tended to fall into the categories you'd expect. I wish that people of color could understand how much the Clinton Crime Family hates all of us middle class folks, no matter our skin tone.

The other group was the Catholic Alliance for the Common Good. I wrote to them on their form and asked what was their defense to bishops and cardinals denouncing them as front organizations? Haven't received a reply yet.

Their website was one commie agit-prop post after another. And a LOT of Donald Trump bashing. Authentic Catholic organizations rarely get involved in promoting or attempting to defeat any particular candidate.

Verdict: Podesta e-mail about Catholic infiltration: TRUE

I never said he was being paid to agitate because I don't know that. I do know he has connection to the Clinton campaign and has shown up at other events as far away as Florida to try to disrupt them as well. That's kind of odd behavior for your average voter.

The point is his claim of being a "concerned Republican just exercising his First Amendment rights" seems kind of naive. You have no First Amendment rights at a private event and if you stalk a candidate around the country the Secret Service will probably notice you.

You are dismissing wikileaks dumps because you hate Assange. Fair enough. I also hate Assange but I have exactly zero reason to doubt the emails and you have given me none either.

---
It's probably worth noting that unless one or both of the campaigns releases their internal polling after the election, we'll never know whether things like BSG's assertion that the FBI was useful.

That ABC poll that had Hillary up 12 was already collapsing before the FBI announcement (down to 3 before any significant portion of the track took place after the announcement), and that was more likely than not due to the pollster giving up on the gaslighting effort (as the only news during that period was the ongoing Wikileaks drip which apparently couldn't possibly have changed any opinions, and the Trump groping allegations-I'm not sure how that helped him, but it did according to the poll movement).

What's going to be fun tomorrow is watching how the last day 'credibility' polls read. Someone's going to go all in on the gaslighting and declare a late Hillary surge. A lot of broadcast media driven polls are going to say "The race is a statistical tie-be sure to watch our live coverage Tuesday night for how it turns out!".

And if the lies have been as big as I suspect, someone's going to release a shock poll putting Trump up way outside the margin of error (best guess is the LA Times which already has him nearly up 6).

430 This election is getting to everyone. I find the whole election and all of the stuff being revealed about Hillary, the masks being ripped off the media and the Republican meltdown to be hilarious. Everything just rolls right off Trump and he keeps spooling it up more. People are seeing the real Dems, real repubs, and the truth of the corrupt Clinton cabal. They see a media that has Pravda sick with jealousy and actual voter fraud really happening. I'm enjoying the hell out of this election, but other are not. I understand they are anxious and worried. 431 So as long as the government tells you a conspiracy theory is true, you're okay with it.

I'm still not sure what any of this has to do with wikileaks publishing a guy's emails, when no one is disputing the veracity of the emails that have been produced (for example no one disputes the connection between podesta and the spirit cooking gal, their only defense has been hey she's not that bad).

Okay the Clinton campaign is trying to dispute whatever is released tomorrow, but they make no mention of what it is, so it's not a dispute of facts so much as preemptive PR.

433 I have to take this hit:

In my earlier comment about the spreadsheet I misinterpreted something my husband said. Yes, Austin Crites was mentioned on a spreadsheet from Podesta emails from 2011, but I don't know the purpose of the spreadsheet. In my mind, spreadsheets = numbers and I was the one that came to faulty conclusion that it was something to do with payment. So, mea culpa.

Does this invalidate Wikileaks as a source of information? No.

434 "I'm still not sure what any of this has to do with wikileaks publishing a guy's emails,"

The source is bad. That makes the information bad. I can understand that train of thought to a point. Once independent verification is found though, that thought goes out the door until the next bit of data needs to be analyzed.

Bright side is, Trump wins, they all go back over to the left. Good riddance.

That's some pretty powerful virtue signaling. Tie Alex Jones into all of this. Well done.

So tell me something, if Assange is nothing but a conspiracy theorist, why is he hiding in the Ecuadorian Embassy, not just from rape charges in Sweden but from US authorities? Why did Hillary suggest we should drone him? For conspiracy theories?

I wouldn't count on Assange not continuing to target Hillary. People tend to get pissy when you threaten to kill them.

Anyway, enjoy your virtue. I'm going to enjoy the NFL conspiracy stuff now.

Posted by: JackStraw at November 06, 2016 01:14 PM (/tuJf)

437 So is Fast and Furious a conspiracy? Well, more than one person was involved in it. Were there crimes committed? The last time I checked giving aid and comfort to enemies of the United States (isn't there a war on drugs) is rather considered a high crime. And it is the only Obama scandal where a fall guy has actually been named: Assistant Attorney General Lanny Brewer was shocked and amazed to find out that he had been in charge of the entire operation from the beginning - evidently it was his idea - that he didn't even know he had.

Little matter of 3 to 5 hundred counts of felony murder and one or two counts of felony capital murder still hanging around without being prosecuted on that one too.
