Trump Rushed Off Stage Durning Rally in Reno. Unconfirmed Speculation About an Assasination Attempt [Weirddave]

flaming_skull2a.gif

CNN has not much more. Trump was rushed off the stage by Secret Service agents. Secret Service agents and SWAT team officers detained a man in the crowd and hustled him off. UNCONFIRMED reports from people in the crowd are that the man had a gun. Since security is usually tight at these events, that seems unlikely, but here I'm just speculating.

Trump later returned to the stage and resumed his speech after thanking the Secret Service, an event that makes the assassination scenario seem less likely.

No further details are available at this time. As always, remember to discount everything you hear in the first 24 hours after an event like this, this post included.

80 Since this event took place in Reno, this question is tangentially related?

What do y'all make of Jon Ralston basically declaring Nevada for Clinton based on early voting numbers? Makes me nervous as a long tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs.

On the other hand Nate Silver has a piece out saying early voting tallies don't really mean much.

If Nevada goes for Clinton the map is harder for Trump. Unless Trump just crushes the Midwest and takes Michigan, Wisconsin, Ohio, and then plops Pennsylvania on top like a big cherry on a bowl of ice cream.

I hate this election. I hate the waiting. I hate knowing Clinton will probably win but holding just enough hope for Trump that I know I'll puke if it's called for her on Tuesday night.

Anyway, interested in y'alls thoughts on Nevada.

What it was was a pill bottle I had in my right front pants pocket. You know how they want you to bring all the drugs, even when they have a record? We almost forgot one, and I shoved it my pocket.

I didn't see all of the Stargate Atlantis, but I've seen a fair number of episodes and they did do some good work. I always liked how bad situations kept getting worse, which happened frequently.

There was Stargate Universe which only lasted 2 seasons before being cancelled. A group makes it onto an ancient ship on the other side of the universe. It was very gritty and didn't have much of the humor of the other series. I liked the harder edge to the show.

279 >>Look, a country that can elect Barack Obama twice can easily elect Hillary Clinton.

I think you are overselling the comparison between Obama and Clinton. Clinton has been around forever and her persona was baked in a long time ago. This is a woman who had a hard time getting by Bernie frigging Sanders, and it was her turn! Obama was the fresh new face of Hope and Change.

Her unfavorables are in Trump range and if she didn't have the msm carrying her fat ass around and doing their damnedest not to report anything negative about her, everyone knows she is under FBI investigation even if they don't know the details. Obama deserved to be under FBI investigation but he managed to ride his Historic Firstness to pretty good approval ratings no matter what he fucked up.

Hillary is not popular and is the opposite of change. Trump is change and people are responding to his wrecking ball attitude toward DC.

Hillary has to bring in JayZ and Beyonce and Katy Perry to draw a crowd. Trump is bringing them in on his own.

He's got all the momentum. He's the Hope and Change guy this time. Just remains to be seen if he can translate it into enough votes but this is nothing like Obama against either McCain or Romney.

300 Regarding Nevada (and Hot Air stupid eeyores) by my count Clinton is having to defend 8 states that have been in her "column" for months now, including PA and MI.

Trump is defending only 1, Nevada.

Clinton was trying to flip NC and give herself cushion, but if she is making final appearances in PA, and not NC or FL, then she is on defense.

If she holds all 8, she wins with 272 EVs. If she loses just 1 of them, Trump hits 270. If Trump loses NV, but flips on state (other than NH) then NV is irrelevant.

I swear Allahpundant can't count. NV isn't that many votes, and their analysis assumes casino union guys won't vote for Trump. That's not an assumption I'd bet money on.

360 I actually watched his entire stump speech from somewhere (I don't know if it was in Reno still) on Fox. He goes off-topic pretty easily. But it was kind of endearing. The speech itself was easily one of the better I can remember watching, since I can't even remember watching the hundreds that I know I've watched from other candidates over the years. His lack of discipline might be considered an asset if everyone in the country watched what I saw at least once. There was a preist behind him. Throughout the early part he was cool. But by the end , even he was getting into it.

361 Is there an update on what really happened? I seem to have missed it today. It sounds like somebody tried to get him Swatted at the rally.
