I have worked in national security my entire life. Most of that has been in the intelligence community surrounded by classified information. For twenty years, I worked undercover in the Central Intelligence Agency, recruiting sources, producing intelligence and running operations. I have a pretty concrete understanding of how classified information is handled and how government communications systems work. Nobody uses a private email server for official business. Period. Full stop. The entire notion is, to borrow a phrase from a Clinton campaign official, "insane." That anyone would presume to be allowed to do so is mind-boggling. That government officials allowed Hillary Clinton to do so is nauseating. Classified and unclassified information do not mix. They don’t travel in the same streams through the same pipes. They move in clearly well defined channels so that never the twain shall meet. Mixing them together is unheard of and a major criminal offense. If you end up with classified information in an unclassified channel, you have done something very wrong and very serious. Accidentally removing a single classified message from controlled spaces, without any evidence of intent or exposure to hostile forces, can get you fired and cost you your clearance. Repeated instances will land you in prison. Every hostile intelligence agency on the planet targets senior American officials for collection. The Secretary of State tops the list. Almost anything the Secretary of State had to say about her official duties, her schedule, her mood, her plans for the weekend, would be prized information to adversaries. It is very difficult, in fact, to think of much of anything that the Secretary of State could be saying in email that we would want hostile forces to know.That's just the start.

I don't doubt the veracity of it, but the system is obviously putting this out for Clinton and to discredit Comey. The Manafort investigation (oh, and THIS is an investigation apparently) was not announced because it wasn't a matter of congressional record.
The Deep State has revealed itself. Trump or no Trump, something MUST change. This is not a republic if the system reacts so blatantly to help a certain candidate, and so many resources can be moved against an independent actor (to the extent that Comey is, in fact, independent).
A Clinton Presidency will be perpetual crisis and struggle. We must avoid it at all costs, and never forget the NeverTrumpers who could have helped to avoid it and didn't.

Shannon Bream reporting that SCOTUS(yes, that supreme court) issued a one sentence ruling that said No, we are not overturning a ballot rule in the state of Ohio.
Ohio passed two laws this year regarding early and absentee ballots that require at least five of the fields one must fill out on them to be accurate in order for the ballot to be counted.
Name, address, SS number, etc. Not accurate, ballot is not counted.
Two groups, one advocating for the homeless and the Ohio Democrat party petitioned the court to have the law blocked.
SC said "No".
So any early ballot or absentee ballot in Ohio that is filled out incorrectly may now legally be tossed.

Reread what I wrote. You made the adjustment after your pick in the primaries lost. The Nevertrumpers never made the adjustment. They immediately threatened to go to Hillary and have most likely completely done so by now.
Most of us made the adjustment though. I thought Palin was a solid pick and that got me through voting for McCain. It was a lot harder for Romney but I did it.
Really I think Trump will win. I think (I don't know) that he's going to get a few million votes from people who either never voted or haven't voted in years. I don't think there's a way for the polling to pick those people up. We'll see soon.

My boss is a two star. Awesome pilot. We finish each others sentences. We seem to share most of the same values.
He will vote Hillary, I will vote, proudly, for Trump. So, after all those similarities, how is it possible that we are at that opposite, fundamental view of government?
He's super intelligent. Engineer. Flight Test. Combat. Whats the difference?
Narcissism.
Narcissism is the only thing that allows you to take such radical views while exempting themselves from the impact of those views.
He loves diversity, including not letting a buddy of his command the Thunderbirds because he is a white male.
But his son is a pilot in a really, really competitive airframe. Doesn't cross his mind to make his son step down to accommodate a left handed transgender Peruvian.
He thinks the rich owe the poor, because something. He cashes his paychecks, buys things he wants. Expensive things.
He thinks that anchor babies and illegals are fine because we really have kinda been letting it happen for a while, so not fair to stop.
He lives on base, behind chain link fence, roving patrols and young men who are dedicated to protect him.
The point is this. Democrats respond to power. Not logic. These are people who are happy to exempt themselves from the rules they make, because they are convinced they are special. And that you are in the way. In exactly the same way Germans convinced themselves that their neighbors should go to the gas chamber.
Don't forget that when we try to think of ways to "educate" the Democrats. They crave power. Not wisdom. It is precisely why the second amendment exists. As the 1st amendment becomes more and more marginalized, and the Goebbles media becomes an agent of the state, the other amendments rise in prominence.
There is no argument that can be made that will convince a hard core lefty; it has to be a change of heart.

Similar here, was a 'clerk' in Division and had to sign out a plan to hand carry it TDY half-way round the world. Only half joked if I get the hand-cuffs to attached the case to my wrist. The reason that she will probably get elected in spite of the emails, is that she is extremely trustworthy.
If you want to redistribute our income, she is trustworthy.
If you find the Second Amendment objectionable, she is trustworthy.
If you want the politics of Transgenderism shoved down the throats of everybody, especially the faithful, then yes she is trustworthy.
If you want every problem in the universe laid at the feet of the white cis gendered patriarchy, then yes she is trustworthy.
The list goes on and on, but give her credit:
She does a hell of lot better job of representing her constituents than any Republican I can think of.
This election will come down to the same issue as the last two elections:
Do we want freedom or free stuff.

Fox corrected that report. No state allows you to change your vote. Once you have voted, that's it. Your ballot is either legitimate per state's rules or it is not counted.

I told two fibs: year of birth (although I was approximate) and whether I was going to vote (I already have; but I told her I was undecided). The former because NOYFB, the latter because I was curious on how the questions would go.
The important question had to do with the FBI: whether they were partisan, or whether the FBI had just cause to reopen the investigation. There were also questions on whether I was more or less favourably / unfavourably inclined to the two candidates based on stuff we've learnt over these last weeks.
Someone is worried about the FBI's investigation . . .

1) Dude got his hands on source code used to report results from most voting machines.
2) Dude found out that votes are stored as DOUBLE rather than INT or LONG - for those who don't program, this means votes can operate as decimals if needed. In a legit election, there is no reason this would be needed.
3) Dude created injector software which INVISIBLY alters the results of the election by weighting the votes as decimals to ensure a specific outcome. The votes aren't changed: they're just weighted differently. This is why it is invisible and can happen in real time as votes come in without flipping votes or changing the number of total votes.
Proves it's easy to rig machines, and that the original creators of the software INTENDED it to be so. This is the most basic of basic stuff - a programmer would never store a number that didn't need decimals (LIKE A VOTE) as a double. It's retarded.

I've noted this some months ago, but one of my former minions is now an IT contractor at DHS. It said it would give people in the IC an aneurysm the complete disregard for security protocols he sees: use of personal email for official (including classified) info, classified docs left laying on desks in unsecured work areas, "secure" spaces being left unlocked...because someone lost the keys and they couldn't get in for a few days...so the solution was to just leave it unlocked.

And if you have a kid who is allergic to say, just peanuts, you can go through their bucket and remove the peanut offenders.
I vaguely remember kids being asked when I was little, to trick or treat for Unicef instead of for candy.
I don't remember a single kid ever doing that in my school.
So I looked it up and sure enough, Unicef is still out there, enlisting kids to become good "global citizens" by collecting for Unicef when trick or treating.

What is sad is how many people in the USA will believe that statement. Because they saw it on FB or online.
I have a friend who is a major democrat supporter, husband is a union big wig, etc. Yesterday they reposted an Occupy Democrat meme that was a photo of someone's house sporting a Trump/Pence sign.
The photo also had a couple of scarecrow, witch Halloween dummies hanging in a tree like every other house has. The caption was the horrified comment of how this was a typical racist Trump supporter who puts lynched black effigies in their front yard. It must be stopped!
This friend of mine who does normally have half a brain, had a mad emoji under the likes.
How do you deal with that kind of brainless thinking?

I remember the day years ago when he coined that acronym, and I thought he was being a little....out there.
Now, not so much. Things are so broken, I don't see how it ever gets put back together. And the Media and Academia delights in starting little bonfires everywhere to burn up what they don't like.

2) They know Clinton has hung out a shingle with the various foundations operating under the family name.
3) By donating generously to these foundations, said foreigners obtain access to - what? We don't know, but stay tuned.
4) The private e-mail serve enabled Clinton to "launder" intelligence she has sold to interested parties. The cover story provides her a measure of plausible deniability i.e. ease of use, personal messages, blah blah blah.
I realize it's far fetched, but all of this may have been by design rather than incidental. The fact that no one - not a single person - has even been charged with anything so far strongly suggests the former rather than the latter.
