It's time for the American voters to tell her NO.Someone somewhere should have told her no. But if the president wasn’t going to tell her no, who would? Staff at the State Department? They might have been willing to tell some other secretary of state no, but Clinton? Too risky, it seems. They certainly went along without visible objection, and without even leaks. The press? When The New York Times reported Clinton's secret, illegal server, Politico’s Glenn Thrush, far from condemning it, called it "badass." Congress? Clinton has stonewalled and run rings around numerous committees investigating her. Besides, Congress had already told her no, in the form of statutes governing the treatment of government communications and classified information. She just ignored those rules and did what she wanted. Hotel magnate Leona Helmsley famously said that "only little people pay taxes." Clinton seems to feel the same way about obeying laws.(Sorry I'm really behind today. Figured I had to just get a post up.)

For some reason, a few weeks ago, I saw the story circulating around facebook of the letter that HW Bush wrote to Bill when he won. Presumably to contrast it with how classy he was compared to Trump.

All depends on what's in those missing emails that we may at long last get a chance to see.
Wouldn't surprise me in the least if Hillary left a few classified docs in the ones turned over to soothe the Obama administration and the media and allow them to say there was nothing real so bad that we can't let her off with a wrist slap and destroyed the really bad stuff.
Don't forget she did 100% of her government business through this private email system. I don't believe for a second much more sensitive stuff was sent around. She was the SoS after all.

Here's what I think happened...
They were using Outlook... and it was configured to download mail.
Now we KNOW that Huma had access to Hillary's email account, as she sent email from Hill's address saying 'this is Huma'....
So.... she sometimes used her computer at home to check stuff... so it was set up with Hillary's account....
Meaning... there are .pst and .ost files there, with all of Hillary's mail....
There are also probably Back Ups for all that, maybe in the cloud... but probably on that hard drive as well....
Huma... not being an IT person... didn't understand the tech.... sooooo... didn't realize that checking Hillary's email from her home computer, downloaded EVERYTHING....

If this wasn't such a political case, isn't that what would happen if the FBI found someone with stolen state secrets? Who could do transmit them to foreigners? Who was a flight risk? You'd need an arrest warrant (from a judge), not an indictment (from a grand jury, which the DOJ would control).

Yes, people have criticized him for the times he's put his foot in his mouth during this campaign, but he deserves a lot of credit for how hard he has worked. He's been out there on the stump, doing whatever it takes, and he's been doing it for many months. no, seriously, while Limbaugh today is largely irrelevant and easily replaced you young folks don't know the pre-net days when he was the only voice for 90% of the news out there we couldn't find anywhere else, giving analysis and information that was frankly brilliant. He isn't the same as he was at the start, and not nearly as fun to listen to but he's still the man.

Really? That means 70 Million people have early voted or sent in absentee ballots.
Considering that turnout nationwide for presidential elections averages in the 55% range of registered voters(of which,less than 50% of the population is even registered to vote), according to Beck's statement, if it were accurate, would mean that half of the registered voters, not 20%, would have already voted.
Also, Glen's snickering assumes that all the early, absentee votes were for Clinton.
What an idiot.

I watched a report yesterday that said Obama called Hillary's campaign volunteers in a conference call on Saturday and told them this was (paraphrasing) " a bump in the road". Went into detail about the highs and lows of the media reporting ,etc,
The report made a big deal of how Obama was back on the campaign trail for Hillary.

I said here once before that I know a woman who is a retired NYC cop who came back to the Midwest to care for her elderly mother. After 25 years in the Big Apple, she is far more New Yawker than Wisconsinite and goes back to visit frequently. She is a yuggge Trump supporter and told me every NYC cop she knows is voting for him.
And they hate DeBlasio with a passion.
That ties into something else I've noted - authoritarians who want to build a police state generally make sure they have the police (and military) on their side. It's common sense - the cops and soldiers in Communist Romania got treated better than the general public so they would stay loyal.
Making it clear you hate the people who protect you and have the power to turn the tables on you is massively stupid - but then, the Dems can't shake the "We're Against The Man" 60's conceit even when they are in power.
