1 Good Morning Morons. Today is Sunday, October 30, 2016. On this day in 1961 Joseph Stalin's body was ordered removed from its place of honor inside Lenin's tomb and buried near the Kremlin Wall with a plain granite marker instead. The renunciation of Stalin had begun.

I got tired of their shit a few years ago and killed all my accounts but what really irks me is that I never voluntarily signed up with them to begin with. My original bank was a small town local bank. It got bought up by anther bank, and then another, and finally wound up as BOA. All w/o any input or choice from me.

It is the only thing that will save this country. We do have nothing but a uni-party now. The Democrats are lying corrupt shitweasels and the Republicans are only a tad less bad. Meanwhile the corrupt supreme court runs amuck. And nobody in DC gives a flying fvck that the entire city is corrupt and nobody give a shit for the Consitution or the peons they rule over.

If we don't do that then we are not far from collapse and anarchy.

Posted by: Vic We Have No Party at October 30, 2016 06:07 AM (mpXpK)

18 As for rigged elections, we already have that. If a convention can't fix it the country will break up into pieces which is better than the alternative.

To me that is a rigged system.

The problem is the only thing we have to enforce it now is the Supreme Court and thanks to political black robes they not only don't enforce it, they twist it beyond recognition.
As to being lost to "liberals" it already is thanks to above and in an Art V convention each State only gets one vote. There are more red States than there are Blue so the effects of CA and NY are overruled. SC will have just as much say as CA.

And as I said, it simply can not get any worse than it is now.

31 I thought this comment just about encapsulates this election, and I nominate for QOTD:

197 Got into a political argument last night with the wife. All she could talk about was Trump using the P word. Accused me of only reading "biased" sites when I brought up facts about scandal after scandal that have only happened in the last 2 months. She didn't know or care who Anthony Weiner or Huma are. She didn't care about an email server. This is why I still have no hope on this new FBI investigation. There are just too many happily ignorant people out there.

Not trying to be depressing, but I am a cubs fan, after all. Hope isn't a natural feeling for me.

I think that the Constitution failed to take into account crooked politicians and supreme court justices who didn't give a shit about the Constitution. And that failed long before the people got corrupted by bread and circuses and free shit.

Although it was never intended by the founders it was insane to allow the a leg of the federal stool to determine what the authority of the federal stool was.
The Constitution was a contract between the States, not a contract between one branch of the feds and the others. The founders knew better than to put the foxes in charge of the hen house.

61 Well, if you want some get ya movin' music for packing try South of Memphis.

Posted by: teej at October 30, 2016 06:57 AM (HWisp)

62 We ought to try an article 5 convention first for the simple reason that a "balkanazation" of the country, as romantic as that might seam to me, would throw the whole world into chaos. It would probably be a death sentance for western civilazation.

Just think about what that would entail as far as the national debt, the armed forces, nukes, hell, everything. States haves already given up their automony to the feds, and no politician is going to give up federal money.

How many citizens are really going to give up social security to be able to keep "assault rifles" and 16 round magazines? Very few are even prepared for that financially.

Things will have to get MUCH worse than they already are. Voting is still seen as the best option by the vast majority of people, and any nullification movement would be quickly crushed because the majority of people would be repelled by it.

Personally, I truly believed we will get nuked by some terrorist organization that will buy the weapon from Iran or North Korea, and then big changes will occur.

There is no path in the "current" constitution. As for being a beautiful document, yes the writing still is, but the interpretations have destroyed it.

My preferred solution to the judiciary is to take that leg of the stool completely out of Washington and let the States appoint the judges and place the court outside of DC. And then to further help it, make the judges subject to recall by citizens of the State that appointed them, or by a 60% vote of the nationwide citizens.

As for Krushchev, it was during his Stalinist thaw that Solzhenitsyn was able to publish, with approval, his 'One Day In The Life of Ivan Denisovich'. Once Brezhnev took power, Solzhenitsyn had to go back underground.

74 I was in Moscow in 1983 and remember being shocked at the location of Stalin's grave. It was kind of tucked behind the main building there on red square. I was a senior in high school, and even then, I thought he'd have had a place of more prominence. His evil was so great, even the Russians couldn't stomach it. BTW, Lenin looked really "crispy" in that glass case.

We ought to try an article 5 convention first for the simple reason that
a "balkanazation" of the country, as romantic as that might seam to me,
would throw the whole world into chaos. It would probably be a death
sentance for western civilazation.

------------------------------------------------

Not sure what you are saying here.

Just think about what that would entail as far as the national debt,
the armed forces, nukes, hell, everything. States haves already given
up their automony to the feds, and no politician is going to give up
federal money.

-----------------------------------------

This is a way for the States to take back automony. The contract only gave the feds a limits set of authorities. The black robes illegally gave them all the rest.

How many citizens are really going to give up social security to be
able to keep "assault rifles" and 16 round magazines? Very few are even
prepared for that financially.

Whether or not the new States want SS or not is subject to thier votes.

Things will have to get MUCH worse than they already are. Voting is
still seen as the best option by the vast majority of people, and any
nullification movement would be quickly crushed because the majority of
people would be repelled by it.

If things get much worse than they are now we will have another civil war.

Personally, I truly believed we will get nuked by some terrorist
organization that will buy the weapon from Iran or North Korea, and then
big changes will occur.

Posted by: Subterranean JT at October 30, 2016 06:58 AM (qG0hz)

Nothing that would come out of an Art V convention would impact whether or not we will get "nuked by the terrorists". Indeed we would probably be in a better position if we didn't have the current corrupt administration.

86 I mentioned in the ONT, I happened upon a sort-of impromptu Trump rally in the parking lot of a big-box hardware store last evening. I'm in a solid Dem district in deep blue NY.

There was a couple in a big-ass pickup truck, flags flying from the top corners, TRUMP and MAGA written in huge white letters on the tailgate, doors and rear window. They were blasting what sounded like a string of patriotic southern rock songs. And all around me people were laughing and cheering, yelling TRUMP! and giving thumbs-up. The couple, decked out in Trump gear, were revving up the passers-by. If there were any anti-Trumpers in that busy lot, they kept quiet. I studied faces to see if I saw any obvious anti-Trump scowls. I didn't see any.

I talked to the guy and his girl (wife?) and they were driving around the neighborhood, a VERY busy retail strip, rallying people up at each plaza or big box store, and then moving on to the next before they got kicked out. Grassroots politics, man. It was cool.

I'm seeing no Hillary stickers or signs at all.

90 If we get Pres Hillary (or Pres Kaine), both Marxist/globalist Minstrels, then Article V is more needed. But a President Trump could make good use of the bully pulpit, the way Obama has done to make RINOs cower in fear.

And the people are still mostly good, but so misled. It is the small DC cabal and some billionaires that have pushed the poison on US. The people are hungry for change, they know DC is corrupt as hell, so they are ready for a new message.

Beck and the nuts fear the man on a white horse (I think that's the expression, or strong horse?) ... but that was more barky leading us toward globalist UN crap. Trump has always been America First, and with the right speech writers, could present a very "populist" view that forces Congress to move back toward a republic.

Trump has had to deal with corrupt people and still get things built, and show a profit. Few others in DC know anything but serving the special interests, while lying to the people.

And besides the bully pulpit, imagine the prosecutions on hold while Obama's JustUs was fighting a war against the republic, trying to take over police departments, prosecuting True The Vote patriots, opening borders, selling guns to cartels, covering up money laundering (HSBC). ... So many guilty people to be prosecuted, and the rats jumping ship will give it up.

Still a long road out, but people are clamoring for change, and Trump could be the law and order president he has been promising to be.

162 Lynch was pissed at Comey because his re-opening of the case against Hillary "was not consistent with long-standing practices."
__________________

We also had a long-standing practice of not paying money for hostages to terrorist states, but Lynch had no problem with Barry shipping planeloads of our cash to Iran. Her outrage is somewhat selective.

Anyway, the long-standing practice was not to make announcements about LE investigations during election season. But that practice had already been ignored a few months ago, when Comey made his declaration that no reasonable prosecutor would prosecute Clinton for her extreme carelessness with classified and TS documents. So why wasn't Lynch pissed about that? Oh wait, that breach of long-standing practice helped Clinton, so it was totes okay.

There are some evil agitators (community "organizers"), and the gang/union leaders, the political class, and the masses that lick their boots so they get little favors ... but even many under "PC religion rule", that are arrogant and fairly hateful to "Trumpster" types, are "good" on a face to face level.

Many have swallowed the anti=American crap whole, and need "salvation", an intervention, someone to shine the light on/for them. Largely it is the welfare class that will take whatever free lunch they can get, or those that have "self identified" as some protected class.

Indeed there will need to be another "Awakening", where basic civics and the intent behind the constitution is brought back to schools.

There will be some tearing down of the old, but with a framework still kept in place, on which a new "skin" can be built ... a job for a renovator/builder like Trump.

Not to invoke Godwin's Law, but the Nazis did this. Before abolishing all of the traditional German states and fiefdoms, they unfied the state police forces under Goering, who had been Police-president in Prussia since before Hitler's appointment as Chancellor.

Interesting quote over at Zip's place about an FBI report on Huma's computer practices.

She would forward classified email from her State.gov account to her yahoo account to print off at home.

If it's classified, it should be on the High Side (SIPRNET), and not
able electronically to be forwarded to any email account on yahoo.

Sounds like someone was bridging the air gap between secure and commercial nets.

Often called SNEAKERNET in days long gone by.

Which would be more then likely very illegal.

Posted by: Village Idiot's Apprentice at October 30, 2016 07:47 AM (J+eG2)
She would cut and paste on to a word document, copy to a thumbdrive, then bring it home, Weiner would probably strip the classifications, then send to her email so she could push them out and around. SNEAKERNET, Classified Cargo Pocket, AirGap. Since SAP material was found in Hillary's email server, markings removed, I would not be surpised to find that Huma was raiding JWICS and NSANet also. I cannot believe that the Hillary did not have her clearance suspended at the very least. She is a candidate for President, not acting as a Department Primary or Senior official, she has no need to know, nor should she have any access NOW. If she is elected, then she gets her clearance back.

Still think he removed information related to the OK City bombing that showed that an Iraqi ex-pat named Husein al Husseini was directly involved with Timothy McVeigh, and Ramzi Yousef the WTC bomber helped Terry Nichols with the bomb construction.

Why the FBI would interview just some guy working at a rental house miles away from the incident (al Husseini), if they did not think he was involved. Janet Reno having to protect Clinton's election chances had to flush al Husseini down the memory hole. (John Doe number 2).

Clinton would not have a second term if 2 foreign terrorist attacks on US soil occurred, so DoJ engaged in some chicanery to ensure the AQ/Iraqi connection was never made. Sandy Berger ensured any last remaining ties were "disposed of".
