Saturday Night ONT [Weirddave]

CDR M is at a Halloween party, so looks like y'all are stuck with the second string tonight. Fortunately, it's Halloween, so there's lots of real easy stuff to steal for the ONT. Like...

Costumes

jack_skellington.jpg

This fantastic Jack is by Mnemousyne. I had the exact same idea for a Jack costume back when the movie first came out (really), but I haven't the skill to pull it off like this, plus I can't walk on stilts. More costumes below the cut:

Anyone who reads the titles of my threads knows I love a good pun, like, say, Edgar Allen Ho:

Or perhaps Ontario Bandanas:

Gruesome

Motorcyclist cut in half by cable after police chase in Kobe

My wife and I are both bikers, and it's hard enough to be safe without being an idiot. Nobody driving a car can see you, and those that can are actively trying to kill you. Running from the cops on a bike? Madness. We have a name for people like this, you know, those morons weaving in and out of traffic at 120+ on their rice rockets. We call them “organ donors”

Halloween Movies for Kids

9 Adult Halloween Movies Your Kids Can Watch

So what are well-intentioned parents to do if they wish to introduce their children to the forever-joys of a good old-fashioned adult scary movie, the grown up thrills of creepy monsters, and that sweet unforgettable pleasure of covering your face with your hands? Well, that's what I'm here for.
Here are, in my opinion, nine gateway horror films you can show your kids without worrying that you might be creating a Jeffrey Dahmer. Side benefit: you will also enjoy them. Moreover, my picks purposely represent various subgenres within the overall horror genre.

It's by John Nolte. He's been nuts for Trump on Twitter for months now, but the man knows his movies.

Justice!

Speaking of Trump making people nuts, here's a heartwarming story in 3 pictures:

I don't care who you're for in the election, other folks have the right to their preferences too. These assholes thought they could vandalize Trump signs and got their just desserts.

Beyond the Margin of Lawyer

~It is still somewhat jaw-dropping (and not in the Monica sense) that the campaign to return the Clintons to the White House is now running on how terribly the other guy treats women. Introducing Hillary in New Hampshire today, Michelle Obama gave a speech on Trump as a sexual predator and then hailed Hillary as someone who's had "more exposure to the presidency" than any other candidate. Be that as it may, she had rather less exposure from the President than innumerable other women during the Clinton years. Paula Jones got considerably more, and without asking for it. But Mrs Clinton stands there and demands "dignity for women" - and nobody laughs.

That Mark Steyn sure can turn a phrase, even if he is crazy for cats. Speaking of cats, it is Caturday, so

Wonder What Florida Man Has Been Up to Lately?

Florida sibling fight ends with woman covered in butter, crab juice. Foreplay?
Florida man driving home from strip club falls out of truck and runs himself over

Ahh, Florida Man, don't ever change. It's nice to know that in times of anxiety a nation can turn it's lonely eyes to you. Woo woo woo.

The Sound of Silence

Speaking of Simon and Garfunkel, has everyone seen Disturbed's cover of The Sound of Silence?

I don't think that it's better than the original, but I like it an awful lot. It's an entirely different interpretation of the song. Also, how does he shave his chin?

I've been a big Simon and Garfunkel fan for as long as I can remember, it's just perfect music when I'm in an introspective mood. I tell you though, I'd like to see I Am A Rock or The Boxer remade by the band above. I think those are songs that could really get up and kick your mother 'effin ass if they were done with rage. Simon and Garfunkel can be pretty damn funny too. I love this skit from SNL back when it was funny. They were feuding at the time, I can't imagine that this was an easy skit for Garfunkel to do.

Demographics

The English Language

Some of these slang terms need to be brought back. With the barber-mongering land pirates in DC brabbing about defending their mumpsimus with the latest whappers, we need some petter foggers to give them a legal batty fang until they're kickerapoo.

ISIS

Emotional moment girl, 10, is saved from the clutches of barbaric ISIS fighters who murdered her dad

Can someone tell me again why it's “racist” (or whatever-ist) to simply want to blow these 7th century barbarians to the hell that they so fervently wish to crate on Earth? But no, instead we do this:

Green Beret on Syrian Training Program: “Everyone on the ground knows they are jihadis”

And so we get this:

Grieving mother reveals how evil ISIS thugs swept into Syria and murdered Christians – including her son

She also recounted her son's last words: 'I don't want to hide myself. You [Alice] are the one who taught me to follow what Christ said, 'whoever denies me before men, I will also deny them before Heaven.'

Ms Assaf added: 'They took him to a backyard to shoot and kill him. They killed him because his name was 'George'.

As a Christian, I am humbled by his faith and courage, and shamed by my lack of the same. Would I do that in that situation?

I don't know.

Tonight's ONT brought to you by beer:

The Yahoo Group is seeking new members. They want rustlers, cut throats, murderers, bounty hunters, desperados, mugs, pugs, thugs, nitwits, halfwits, dimwits, vipers, snipers, con men, Indian agents, Mexican bandits, muggers, buggerers, bushwhackers, hornswogglers, horse thieves, bull dykes, train robbers, bank robbers, ass-kickers, shit-kickers and Methodists.

Conversely, yesterday, the new Clinton Phone Bank attempted to celebrate it's grand opening, on the Northwest side of Houston.

It's intended target audience is single, college educated women.

The star of the event, was one Lynda Carter. Yep, that'd be Wonder Woman herself, to a lot of you slavering morons out there. She was speaking ardently for Hiltery, etc.

Turnout for the event, counting staff and media? Looked like fewer than thirty, and the local news showed it from several angles, so I think that's a close estimate.

Wish I'd have known in advance. I could've worked up some Blunder Woman signs, to photobomb the backgrounds!

However to get that number they have to suppress the Repub response by a ludicrous 12%. At the start, about a week ago, they were suppressing it by only 3%, but since then independents are apparently breaking strong Republican. They have to make bigger and bigger adjustments to get their "expected" turnout.

IBD is basically forcing the turnout to be 37D/28R/33I. With that type of turnout model it's almost impossible for any Repub to win.

Oddly enough, the Clintons and Dems didn't think it was inappropriate to make such an announcement right before the election, even though the indictment was almost immediately thrown out by a higher court.
Or am I remember this all wrong?

246 Saw Simon and Garfunkel live, in the late sixties. Stage lights were turned to blue for that song. Quite moving.
I remember three American PSAs from the cartoons on Buffalo TV stations when I was a kid in the '60s/'70s: the Italian crying Indian littering one; the Radio Free Europe one featuring "On Broadway" with the (I assume) Polish-speaking announce pronouncing it "Broadvay"; and one for an organization for teaching the deaf sign language that featured the "Sounds of Silence" and had S & G appear at the end asking for donations. "And in the naked light I saw, ten-thousand people maybe more, people talking without speaking, people hearing without listening, people writing songs that voices never share, no one dare, disturb the sound of silence, 'Fools' I said 'You do not know, silence like a cancer grows, hear my words that I might teach you, take my arms that I might reach you,' but my words like silent raindrops fell, and echoed in the wells of silence" as teachers etc. taught the deaf kids how to sign in the background. I can see it fairly clearly still I was so moved by it.

The way I see it:

1-Comey came under intense pressure internally from the FBI for whitewashing the crimes of Crooked Hillary and this is a face saving measure.

3-Comey Knows that if Trump is elected there might be some scrutiny of how compromised he has become.

I sort of voiced these opinions, but was with the libtard demographic, so it didn't really go over well.

It was a joke. But the Nobel for Literature has been a bad joke for many years, now. In truth, all the Nobels are kind of douchebaggy. The science Nobels are only given long after the fact. They don't really signify much of anything. Scientists at the highest levels all know who is really important. True achievements live much longer in the fields than some Nobel prize handed out by a bunch of Swedish asswipes.

Hackers rumors are that they are videos and audios of recordings Huma made when Hillary met with the Saudis and members of the Muslim Brotherhood.

Huma made them for insurance for the deals being recorded so Hillary follows through and for her own protection. When the Feds began to sniff around she attempted to do a peer to peer transfer of the videos and audios to someone in Saudi Arabia.

Since she had already been hacked or since she was lazy the videos were intercepted and copies were made.

316 Comey is a Weasel, he allowed the FBI to become politicized by the SCOAMF and Lynch.

We know the "investigation" was a sham because one of the guys leading it was in the hip pocket of the Clinton's.

Basically he was ordered by the SCOAMF to make the announcement that no charges would be filed and to fall on his sword because Lynch was compromised after her little impropmtu meeting with Bill to talk about "Grandkids" and could let the DOJ take that heat.

Comey was feeling the heat internally and externally, his integrity was in shreds.

So along comes this revelation and he knew that if he sat on it till after the election he would be a dead man walking and the FBI's already tarnished reputation would be non-existent, reduced to rubble.

So we shall see, but the bottom line is if the FAB does win the election she will start here maladministration under scandal which will play out over the next four years.

317 I think the Dylan offer of the prize was essentially a "come drink with us and thank you for getting me laid 45 years ago"

When a group starts doing that they become irrelevant in amazing ways, and only have influence only in the number of lives they can destroy and who they can bribe.

If it is true Dylan has blown off their phone calls, my respect for the man has gone through the roof.
--

I believe that Dylan has said he'd love the honor, the money ($ almost a million) and the pure gold medal.

I feel bad for the poets out there that deserve this. Dylan doesn't need the acclaim or the cash. This could have really mattered to someone who is actually an artist in that genre. Instead, they went for a PR stunt IMHO.

329 I think allowing all this early voting / motor voter laws / absentee ballots to a ridiculous degree was the beginning of the end of the country. It's a vote, not the birth of your first child. It's scheduled for 1 specific day years in advance. It takes less than 5 minutes. If you can't do it that day, then you simply just didn't try hard enough or care enough to do it (minus the service men and women who clearly should be allowed to use absentee ballots).

Of course Hillary is up early in all these early voting states because they have had the ballots all filled out ready to go for months! Add those in with the votes that the machines automatically switch to Hillary and she's got at least a 2% lead off the top before actual voting even begins. The system is rigged and it will take an absolute blowout for Trump to overcome the fraud.

From Army service.

USAF still have a couple in regular use. Supporting far-flung ICBM complexes and whatnot.

And the Marines did a redesign and remanufacturing program to produce the UH-1Y from their own old Hueys. As some of the airframes were found unable to be properly remanufactured, some new-build frames were produced.

The Huey will probably be around for at least the next two decades, even if the USMC don't call it that any longer (they have redubbed theirs the "Venom", which sounds like something from a cheesy video game).

Trump is up in many of the early voting states, actually. It's really fascinating how many people are eager to concoct increasingly elaborate scenarios that involve ignoring the relatively decent data showing Trump has a good chance of winning. And if someone you know only knows about Trump's scandals but not Hillary's, they're not actually "low-information", they're biased and just not admitting it. For all that the media is totally in the tank for Hillary they have mentioned a little bit of her stuff in passing and most LIVs I know are aware that both have scandals. Many are just staying home, certainly not rushing out to early-vote Hillary.

Just saw a commercial for Bob Dold (R) here in Illinois paid for by NRCC
that basically bashes Trump and claims, as a positive, that Dold is the
most bipartisan member of congress and stood up to Trump months ago. 10
seconds later an ad paid for by the DCCC accusing Dold of helping Trump
and being against Hillary.

WTF.

I don't know. I believe Obama is small potatoes compared to the Clinton Family and Syndicate. He hates them. He is a lightweight compared to them.

I'm thinking the Clinton Crime Syndicate and foundation sans Obama are the targets.

Right now the biggest strategy risk managent session is taking place to cut our enough of the rot to please and keep the trust and confidence and continuity of government to mweet the citizens of our country and the governments of our allies and enemies.

The rot and crimes implicate our entire givernmnet and institutions, which is bad.

Take out the Clinton Crime Syndicate and Foundation and I believe that's enough to restore faith and confidence in our government and it's institutions. Just Huma going away ain't hoping to cut it. Talking dozens of people if not more. Obama fired 300 generals or some crazy number like that.
A purge will come. The Clintons have been made expendable.

We will never know the crimes of The Clintons others in government because it's all top secret.

400 334 I think allowing all this early voting / motor voter laws / absentee ballots to a ridiculous degree was the beginning of the end of the country.
Posted by: Eli Cash at October 30, 2016 12:18 AM (Dc/ui)

Traditionally, Election Day was a day when Americans from all walks of life, from captains of industry to the lowliest janitor, all went to their local polling station and cast their vote. It was a powerful symbol of the American form of government: We are all the same on Election Day.

It's all been cheapened and watered down by schemes like early voting and vote-by-mail. Election Day used to be a time when all Americans came together as one. That no longer exists. This is just another way that we've become atomized and alienated from one another.

Not to mention the increased opportunities for voter fraud, which is a feature not a bug in certain circles.

The soles are replaceable pads, featuring ultra-strong felt on the bottom, to grip the shingles or other roofing material better than anything else out there.

Those pads are super heavy-duty Velcro on the top, and hook into the corresponding Velcro built into the bottom of the boot.

You can "rip out" an old set of pads, and put new ones in, at about a minute per side.

They work. But when you get old and wet roofs, that start to "turn loose" of the granular aggregate?

You don't need boots. You need a parachute.

432 Cricket is where you have to get three darts in the numbers 20, 19, 18, 17, 16, 15 and the bullseye. Hitting the small ring on the outside e circumference counts for two darts and the ring towards the middle counts for three. The outer bullseye counts fr one, the inner for two. You can close the numbers out in any order.

Btw ~ usually in 501 you have to double in (hit a double to start the scoring).

Used to play a lot of darts back in the good old days of my youth in the New York Darts League (when I could and beers all night and still hit the board ~ now ~ not so much. Aaah youth. Played in a LOT of dive bars in Staten Island, Brooklyn and Manhattan.

What does that have to do with two separate yet intertwined investigations into the Emails/Illegal server AND The Clinton Foundation.

Nothing. She had practically every state secret for sale and laundered money through the Foundation. SHE HAD SAPs for crying out loud intertwined with the Foundation.

This has to do with the /Saudis/Muslim Brotherhood/Soros and Lord knows who else allowed to run for President and was running the State Department.

An insidious and specialized type of left-wing troll who visits blogs and impersonates a conservative for the purpose of either spreading false rumors intended to sow dissension among conservative voters, or who purposely posts inflammatory and offensive comments for the purpose of discrediting the blog in question.

Absolutely hilarious that you paranoid drunk fools to think this.

LMFAO because the conservatives, whatever that means. Have done nothing to help and only hurt efforts in electing Trump, the nominee. So yeah I stopped being a NeoCon after the 2008 when Obama became one. Because I believe this country is an internationalist Oligarchy rules by foreign interests and Globalist Wall Street scum that makes me a Moby.

Well there are obviously some alcoholic bitter NeoCon Wall Street transnational progressives pretending to be conservative. And if that's the opposite of a moby, which is pathetic that a grown man knows and uses that word to begin with, then I guess I'm a Moby for using the word NeoCons who suck Saudi and Muslim Brotherhood docks.

I was making reference to the socio-political analogue of the 2nd law - why people tend to go left as they sit in our government. That's the path of least resistance. It's easier to just say "Okay" to everybody rather than put your foot down and try to maintain some sort of order. Eventually, most people get beaten down and start following the easy path - leftist chaos.

535 Saw a great costume tonight at the hotel Halloween party. Gal was wearing a large cardboard carton, with a tablecloth draped over it. Her head stuck through the middle of the top, and a lampshade on her head. Also on the top of the carton: a bottle of Excedrin with thong panties draped over it, a travel alarm clock, and empty beer can, and a condom, still in the wrapper.

She was a "one night stand", and her man, dressed in sport coat, shades, and shorts, was Charlie Sheen. It was a total hoot. And, sans cardboard carton, that lady has a truly awesome rack (for the sake of completeness).

555 I speak (T)ea Party within The Constitution.

I'd like to hear more about that.

I'd like to hear more about the 10th Amendment and its adherence to "The Austrians".

We have a few "Beyond Breitbart" Mobys here and frankly, I'll have none of them.

While even The Political Hat and I don't agree on everything, he's NO Moby. Sean Hannity is not a Moby. An idiot, but no Moby. Glenn Beck is absolutely NOT a Moby.

If you want to disparage Glenn Beck, I get it. I cannot hold his ideas as sacred. Not All of them, at least.

The difference between "Natonalists" who want to divide us and "Constitutionalists" who want to unite us is the difference between Liberty and Tyranny.

If I am wrong, I'd like to hear God's defense of Freedom, as voiced by our Declaration of Independence and the Bill of Rights...

...voiced by a few more members of The Horde than are currently doing so.

Biblical Verses are a dime-a-dozen. Anyone can go to John, David, Leviticus, Deuteronomy, Kings and Romans.

Those who live Acts can represent me.

I could not represent me. The freaking Pope cannot represent me. Give me four years of Acts and you will represent Liberty over Tyranny.

Live The Prayer of St. Francis and you can represent me. Repent for your sins and believe in our Founding Fathers, as originally written and you can represent me.

It is NOT "purity". It is Originalist love of Freedom, Liberty and Justice. It is NOT "adherence". It is Reality, Love and Lawfulness. It is NOT "emotion". It is established reality through actual, established science and qualified, tested tradition.

The definition of "others" is easily established. The confirmation of "ours", as well, isn't as easy.

Allow me to try...

"Ours" is a right to persue happiness. "Ours" is a Freedom of speech. "Ours" is a Right to defend our lives and property. "Ours" is a right to keep what we've earned, what we own. "Ours" is a right to trial and innocence until proven guilt by a jury of our peers ...etc.

I used to have trouble on the ONT but it was because my browser (Opera) was in turbo mode and would send me through proxies which had been banned. But when that happened it was a different hash on the nuked comment.

If you are posting, see the same hash, and that disappears then I have no idea what might be happening. I doubt that Pixy is even sophisticated enough to have any filtering program running for that sort of specific case ... but you never know.

I actually agree with most of your post. I'll go a step further than the 10th amendment and say I'd like to hear more people fighting for Sovereignty and the Sovereign.

I'm a Constitutionalist.

A nation cannot survive and will not survive without nationalism. And since we are all blessed to be citizens of America, I see American Nationalism as a positive and a uniting force. Border, language, Culture....Michael Savage had it nailed 20 years ago.

I seek not to divide. American Nationalism is based on being a Constitutionalist. Nationalism is not bound by race or religion. Now add White or Asian Nationalism and that divides.

I fail to see how the idea of American Nationalism is a bad thing, we are all Americans so being proud of our country and wishing to preserve it and make it better and stronger for the next generations that follow us is a positive thing. The only argument I've heard against it is that nationalism is a scary word.

Just my two cents from a guy who did not know what a Moby was until tonight and somebody who loathes progressivism, Marxism, Feminism, Islamists, Globalism, Corporatism, hell the Veganism pisses me off.

Call a Sovereign a lefty or imply it, and it got me pissed off. Just if it would piss off any Red Blooded American especially on this site.

Peace and God Bless

Interviewer: So, Jimi, do you see yourself in politics in the future?
Jimi: Oh, well, bu... yeah sure, what's in a game?

A biased opinion for certain, but Jimi still stands out for this drummer person.

618 602 I even label myself as an American Nationalist. Proud American Nationalist.

==========

I like Radical Jeffersonian. Or New Jeffersonian. Can't recall the poster who said he called himself a radical Jeffersonian because it amused him and most people didn't know what it was.

Tree of Liberty. Rinse, wash repeat.

I try to imagine how people would react if they believe that the entire government - I mean ALL agencies, everything - were corrupt. Don't think most of us could accept that. Bigger than 9/11 trutherism, false flag op at Newtown, etc.

One thing the FBI guy said was that Michelle Obama is NOT a man. Does that make him more - or less - believable?
Posted by: Miley, Duchess of the Deplorable Standard Rednecks at October 30, 2016 02:55 AM (BcNLK

This is the thing. Trump movement exposed that we are a one party system all intertwined with ineternational corporatism and a corparate/state run media. So the old labels don't apply anymore. American Nationalist sounds positive and inclusive to me. But I don't know what this movement will call itself after the election.

Radical Jeffersonian sounds correct. And maybe the best way to water the tree of Liberty is with term limits and preventing the revolving door throughout DC, which has created a political class that believes it is their duty and job for us to pay them to enslave us.

Finally, about that 4chan thread, he lost all credibility because we all know Mixheal Obama I'd packing.

But on a serious note, there were some dumb questions by clowns being thrown at him and I think he sneered them to provide much needed levity on a serious matter.

When you eliminate all the noise, and focus on the answers he gave that he would be privy to, considering that was July 2nd and looking back at the big picture connecting the dots, it sounds legit to me.

Nothing new under the sun.

672 Improvised weapon- Magazine shotgun

Grab a decent sized magazine. Wrap it around a 12ga shell and tape it up or glue it up. Glue a small screw or BB to the primer.
Strike bb/screw on flat surface. Boom.
Learned about this from govt. doc on improvised weapons. No, it will not blow apart or injure you. They fired multiple shells like this and were surprised to see how well the magazine held up.

The more I learn about him over the years the more he seems to contradict himself. I always found him confusing.

I'm a wrong that he gives off the vibe of a somebody who talks out of both sides of their mouths or doublespeak? People say it was because it was he aged to dismiss all his doublespeak and contradictions.

I respect the founding Fathers for sacrificing their lives to give us the idea of the Republic we have today. I'm of the mindset that we are in desparate need for a new group of leaders to rise up and sacrifice to keep the Republic alive.

But back to the original point, I have no idea how this movement will be labeled or how many factions with labels will spring from it. That's way above my paid grade.

I have to wonder what is going through someone's head when they come up with stuff like this. That they somehow have the idea that nationalism is unconstitutional or incompatible with our constitution.

Do you think the people that wrote our constitution, this country's founders, were globalists? They were nationalists through and through. They disapproved of foreign entanglements.

Remember the Serial Shooters we had in AZ?
Turns out they moved to an Apt. 3 minutes from where my parents lived. I had visited my folks and when I left I stopped at a nearby QT Mini-Mart for gas. Turns out one of them had also stopped there for gas.
One of the SS guys had been arrested (and released) for shoplifting at a Wal-Mart and in retaliation both SS guys went to two Wal-Marts and started fires that did millions in damage. Unfortunately for them their vehicle was caught on video and the news said to be on the lookout for their vehicle which had a modification that was rather unique.

Well, I was heading inside to pay for gas when I spotted the vehicle. I was staring at it and mentally arguing with myself as to whether or not it was the car from the news. That was when I spotted a guy coming towards me, but he was not walking/moving in a normal manner. He looked somewhat scared and angry at the same time. He was clearly ready to run or fight at the drop of a hat and his behavior set off my mental alarms. That inner voice told me to get the f*** away from him. So I took a wide berth and went inside. He was gone by the time I came out.
A few weeks later they were arrested and when I saw his pic on the news my jaw hit the floor.

Really? Intersting.
This was a booklet the govt. gave out to some of it's agents. Yes, my father was in Fed LE.
It had some cool stuff, but nothing I was willing to try myself.
For example, a grease gun booby trap shrapnel launcher.

683 Most have it all in their home. Not that many have a bugout safe house.
Wish I did, but I have people who cannot run off to the mountains. So I
guess I would die in place.

Any true revolution will need people like this.

Ever heard that "if the Jews had just fought, Nazis would have gotten nowhere"?

It's true. The bad side of that coin is that fighting = dying. A million Jews would have died and 5 million would have been saved. I wrote about this, the whole "molon labe" scenario last year. Here: http://minx.cc:1080/?post=355248

Sober Sunday morning thoughts.

That means something. Or at least it did.

Posted by: Anon Y. Mous

I am not. It had maybe 20-30 pages describing various improvised devices actually encountered by agents in the field.
One looked like a tobacco pipe, but was actually a single shot .22 lr pistol.
Another was made from parts of a soda vending machine. It was rigged to a 1911 and designed to be activated when someone opened a door. It would fire the gun until it was empty and an agent was seriously wounded.

Take a shotgun shell and put it in the V of any two sturdy branches. Now take a Red Rider and put it over the primer. Pull the trigger.

Boom!

Yes, I meant the Anarchist Cook Book. Bad Memory.

There is also instructions on how to make a crude land mine with 12 gauge shells, plumping pipes and a nail for the pin.

All kinds of neat things in those books.

687 Six Frigates, a history of the US Navy has some interesting coverage of Jefferson. He lead the group that opposed the push toward protecting trade from a very hostile world but once the opposition prevailed he took to using the new force capability to its fullest. Once his illusions were shattered he moved on quickly and did what was needed.

It seems silly now but in those days a large contingent believed the new nation had no need of a strong standing military. This would only work if the rest of planet adopted the same attitude, which was improbable in the extreme.

The was a favorite alternate history story in which the Nazis conquer Europe and move on to take India, where they are confronted by the passive resistance lead by Gandhi and Nehru. It finally sinks in for Nehru after Gandhi is killed and Nehru is fleeing that the tactic had no value for an enemy who wanted to get rid of most of the local population anyway.

Looking at the current fare on tv, I'm sure they will bring it back. They've brought back so much garbage already.

BTW, The Dating Game did have a serial killer as a bachelor contestant, Rodney Alcala. He even won, picked by a bachelortte, but the woman who picked him and met him after the show was taped thought he was creepy and did not go out on that date. Now that's a close shave.

It's even worse than that. From a CNN article: "Alcala, who already had been convicted for the 1968 rape of an 8-year-old girl, was the first contestant to be introduced in the game-show episode." So, 10 years after being convicted of raping an 8-year-old, he's a contestant on The Dating Game.

The Dating Game vetted their contestants just as poorly as the Dems vet their candidates.

705 Mornin'.

Went to the hardware store last night, here in my D+5 District in deep blue NY.

There was a couple in an F150 in the parking lot, TRUMP 2016 and MAGA in huge letters on the sides, back window and tailgate, several American flags flying from the roof. Folks were cheering, giving thumbs-up, yelling TRUMP! As I passed I joined in with a thumbs-up and yelled TRUMP! Just as I did, I realized there was a gentleman of color just behind me, appeared to be West Indian. I was just thinking, I bet he's pissed, when the guy caught my eye, smiled and yelled TRUMP 2016!

It was great. I'm seeing basically no Hillary signs or stickers at all.

715 Constant motion, a couple of beers, sunshine...the perfect recipe for a nap.

I never got my line wet this year. Annus horribilis. We've had a lot of high water and I hear the fishing's been good. Couldn't prove it by me.

Did harvest a couple of crops of oyster mushrooms. Otherwise, my Euell Gibbons instincts remain unsatisfied.

Locals think we're weird. She's 67 and I'm 70. "What on earth is the matter with those two old women? Look at them down there launching that boat. Didn't they ever grow up?"

Hope you caught my share, teej.

717 By using Chaucer, they actually understated the problems with Middle English. With a decent glossary, Canterbury Tales is manageable (and gets easier). Not so Piers Plowman; at least to me, Langland's Middle English is impenetrable.
