All those RINOs who are saying they will not support Trump are the ones who backed Obama's Amnesty BS for illegals. (besides being the typical worthless RINOs and DIABLOs).

Miscalculations commonly blunder nations into wars. This time, one of the potential combatants - that being us this time - has a leader who will not fight back at all under any circumstance. That is unless, he knows or thinks he knows the outcome in advance and the nation he is attacking is an historic ally.

There is a special place in Hell for Obama.

If they don't care about the Constitution and continually break the "contract" why should we care and not break the contract. Lets gather the red States together and ban the Democrat party naming it a subversive organization and make it a felony to be a Democrat.

27 Someone in the ONT linked to a good article in Cracked (of all places) explaining Trump's rise. It was based on city vs. country - but what about the 'burbs?

The suburban people are also owners, not renters and in my experience many wouldn't move back into a city even if you offered them free rent. If they can get a job in the burbs they do.

They're the people you to have to sway in an election - the cities are hard core blue, the countryside is red (but outnumbered by the city folk). Not being suburban myself, it's a mystery to me why they vote "city" when so many of them have fled the city and want to stay as far away as possible, except when they want to try out a new Thai restaurant or something.

30 re: gun ban

I've always thought the governors of Idaho, Montana, etc should just declare every citizen 18+ a member of the state militia. Then if any libtard whines about guns, you say, well, I'm part of the militia, what the fuck's your problem, it says so right there in black and white, I have a right to own a gun if I am e member. And just to fuck with them even more, make the declaration include language like "this is the state militia and I am regulating it well".

True. That has been changing a lot. Retirees are moving back to the cities as the kids go off to college or move away from home. I know several older couples who have done that. My parents sort of did it as well. We grew up in the burbs then about 10 years ago when my sister and I were long gone from home they bought a condo about 10 mins from downtown. Not quite in the heart of the city, but definitely closer to the "urban" side of things in the urban vs rural spectrum than they were when I was growing up.

The NYT is pulling out all the stops in their support of Scankles and attacking Trump. I'm sure it was deliberate. It was too perfect how it all played out. Why in the hell would Hillary bring up that fat latina story, unless she knew there was more to come later? She was setting up the narrative of "Trump hates the womYns" and then passed the baton to NBC who passed it to the NY Times.

they must have had polls showing the racist/homophobic charges weren't sticking and there was incriminating evidence. The sexual predator/mysteriousness angle is their best hope as there will always be something they can dig up about a man as rich and famous as Trump and spin it to support the narrative. I think they will focus on this as it is their best shot. Danger is it can draw attention the the Intonations sordid history of abusing women which has the unfortunate characteristic of being very true.

93 30 I've always thought the governors of Idaho, Montana, etc should just declare every citizen 18+ a member of the state militia.
===========================

Count me as "strongly against". This is a very bad idea.

The Constitution is already clear and no one is required to be a member of a state militia. The citizen-owned guns are merely a predicate to having a militia.

Any state doing this gives libtard arguments force in all other states, as in "if the state wants to appoint all adults militia members, then fine, they can own guns. But only then." This takes away gun rights from everyone else. Also, anyone who is a member of a state militia is subject to possible libtard-dictated militia rules, like for example, you have to store your guns at the state armory.

Yes, overall a slight majority went Dem. . . but:

When you narrow it down to white women a slight majority went Republican. It was the 96% black and 75% hispanic that went Dem that caused that overall tilt. The overwhelming minority vote is the result of yellow Dog Democrats and the FSA.

And I suspect that for 2012 those exit polls would be even more anti Dem.

And just to fuck with them even more, make the declaration include language like "this is the state militia and I am regulating it well".
Posted by: #neverskankles at October 13, 2016 06:54 AM (OumXB)

It's written into the Ohio constitution. But, saying that is just a stop-gap. I don't think the Dems even have to pass that before things deteriorate into some sort of low-grade conflict. Just electing Hillary is going to do that.

121 The only "narrative" the MFM has created is a "narrative with itself". That is not a real narrative.

There is a parallel to this in one of the "good" Clancy novels, Debt of Honor, where there is an attack on the stock market engineered by a Japanese tycoon.

Massive sell-off of American Bank stocks and US Bonds occur with US houses following behind them. The brokers of a major trading house were congratulating themselves in that they had spotted the "trend" early and limited their losses. The CEO corrected them, we didn't follow the trend he said, we WERE the trend.

So congratulating the Democrat Press on creating a narrative is the same thing as "being the narrative".

Dems between 2004 and 2008 gained 10.3M votes. Sounds like a lot.

Until you realize the Repubs between 2000 and 2004 gained 11.4M votes.

And Obama couldn't hold onto his gains because by 2012 he lost almost 4M votes.

"It is safe to say the vast majority felt she should be prosecuted," the senior FBI official told Fox News. "We were floored while listening to the FBI briefing because Comey laid it all out, and then said 'but we are doing nothing,' which made no sense to us."

186 Warning, this is going to sound like a conspiracy theory. YMMV.

After getting a lot of egg on my face back in 2012 regarding the polls, I've been watching the polls in 2016 with skepticism, but also with a sense of fatalism. My suspicion is that the polls are incorrect, but that it doesn't matter. Here is my hypothesis.

1) Everything related to politics has now been corrupted. We have reporters who have been proven to be shills for the Democrats, who don't care and will not suffer from a career standpoint at all (Harwood is the latest example). The Justice Dept, DoD, CIA, IRS, media, and both political parties are fully corrupted now. Why would polling firms be immune? Does anyone think that Soros would be unwilling to spend money to buy off polling firms after the direct evidence that he will buy off everything else is exposed?

2) In 2012 there were some big anomalies that didn't make sense in the polling. Both Gallup and Rasmussen were showing huge polls (10K+ sample sizes) that party affiliation gave Republicans about a 3 point advantage. This was information I was using to "unskew" polls to find a more realistic turnout model. Under a D+2 scenario, Romney would win the election because of his advantage with Independents. Yet on election day, we had a D+6 turn out. This is a 9 point swing from what the Gallup and Rasmussen polls predicted. This anomaly has stuck with me for 4 years, it has never been sufficiently explained, it has just been ignored. Note that neither Gallup or Rasmussen run this poll any longer.

3) There were issues on election day in 2012. I went through the vote totals in Florida, unable to believe that Romney lost the state. In every county, Romney outperformed McCain's 2008 totals. There was only one exception, Miami-Dade. In that county Romney underperformed McCain by 70,000 votes. Somehow 70K Republican voters disappeared in this one county alone, but nowhere else in the state.

So my conspiracy theory is that in 2012 there was enough fraud to swing a close election to Obama. The polls leading up to the election provided cover for the fraud, making it the result plausible enough so that no one questioned it. Couple this with the failure of Romney's GOTV effort and you end up with an official D+6 result, when there was no indication there would be such a result in the party affiliation polls.

So that brings us to 2016 when the corruption isn't even being hidden. The polls are showing a 5 point lead for Clinton, and many of the polls are showing an over sampling of Democrats in the polls. What if that sampling is actually representing the party affiliation breakdown that will be reported on November 9th? What if the polling firms have been informed what the final breakdown is going to be, and they are adjusting their results to match?

This would result in an easy Clinton victory, and would have three definitive results that would be leave Clinton and the Democrats in complete control of our lives for a generation or more (most likely permanent because of the indoctrination of the youth).

1) The NeverTrump contingent of the GOP would be blamed (they will actually take credit), resulting in open civil war within the opposition party. The GOP will not win a national election again for a long time.

2) White voters will be marginalized as a voting bloc, considered bigots and racists. Policies that make issues that concern the white middle class even worse will be gleefully implemented. We will be punished for not falling in line with our ruling class. Mass immigration will make this perception a reality soon enough.

3) Trump's complaints about voter fraud will be ignored, because he will have been labeled as a sore loser.

The only hope we really have of avoiding this, if I am correct, is massive votes for Trump that overwhelm the planned fraud. In Florida this means about 200K more people voting for Trump than expected. This would have to be organic and mostly crossover votes from registered Democrats, since Trump has no GOTV operation. It could happen, but I think it is pretty unlikely.

Anyway, it is what is going on in my head. I could be just a crackpot.

Yes, that would give the House GOP the chance to screw with the outcome. But it would be unthinkable for them to actually give the race to McMuffin, who would have only won 1 state. Actually giving the race to Hillary over Trump would end the party forever.

Grew up in an area with a large LDS community and theywere and are very socially and politcally conservative. If there are Mormons working for Hillary then they're doing it under the direction of church leadership. Trump is no prize but there is no way, as individuals,Mormons would support that witch. No way.

Why LDS leadership thinks Hillary Clintonis preferable to Donald Trump is something of a mystery althoughMitt Romney and JonHuntsmanare enormously influential in the church and their animus toward Trump is well-known.

246 There were issues on election day in 2012.

--

Dave, funny you should mention that, because Ohio had a similar thing happen. All along, I found it statistically impossible what happened in 2012, and I have a feeling this is why the prognosticators on the left are so confident this year, that it doesn't matter who votes, it matters how many votes get counted.

All the cultural memes designed around "women, women, women" were designed to culminate in a rash of fake victims right before a Hillary election regardless of who the other nominee was. They've been creating the atmosphere of "OH MY GOD YOU DIDN'T RESPECT WOMEN" since Hillary first imagined running so that they could do this now.

Two things make that comical. First, Clintons of all people can't really swing that and Second, some of the other horseshit like allowing predators into ladies rooms spits in the face of it.

270 57 U.S.-launched Tomahawk cruise missiles destroyed three coastal radar sites in Houthi-controlled territory on Yemen's Red Sea Coast early Thursday, officials said, a retaliatory action that followed two incidents this week in which missiles were fired at U.S. Navy ships.
Posted by: Nevergiveup at October 13, 2016 07:17 AM (zp+j1)

Tactical Tomahawk, bitches! You can program that shit on the fly.

Used to be those things had to be pre-programmed, and changing it was kind of a bitch - took hours. So all that 1st Gulf War stuff was all set into the missiles before they even left. Ships were told which missile specifically to shoot for each strike mission.

In other news, this strongly suggests that the missiles fired at the MASON were most likely C802 ASCMs and not ballistic rockets. We're *very* familiar with the operating envelope of the C802 and train to that specific threat. It also probably means Iran is deeply involved with these incidents and is using the Houthi as a catspaw.

Great Job, Barky!

They believe this. Of course, they're so stupid they don't grasp that the nazis were lefties and that they, themselves, are dumb as plates. The left has only had demagoguery because they can't talk about what they really want---statism, speech control, famine as a control, top down oppression, mass graves.

366 Hitlery wii win for the same reason choom boy did; fraud and LIV's.

Look, I work in the real world, in a small town in a large industry with a pretty literate workforce, and 90% of the people I know still get their news from the MSM. With FOX running anti-Trump stories 24/7, it's going to be the beast in a landslide.

It's probably just as well, if Trump won, the Fed would tank the economy and the MSM, the rinos, and the dems would destroy the country to make Trump look bad. Of course the FAB is going to do that anyway, and I look for war with Russia and China if the bitch wins, so it is lose/lose all the way down for this country.

Bad times are ahead. I just wonder how to resist.

I have two Bob Dylan stories. I saw him at the Newport Folk Festival in... 2004? 2005? He was terrible. He sang every song on the same three notes. Three minutes into his third song I realized he was singing Tangled Up in Blue. It was embarrassing.

My other Dylan story is that you have to listen to this song, it's hilarious:

420 Some curious things afoot this week.

We now have confirmation about WHY Anderson Cooper pressed Trump about whether he had ever sexually assaulted someone, proving to me, at least, that AC is straight getting his talking points ahead of schedule and colludes directly with the DNC.

We also see Russia is recalling all folks home to the motherland, an eerily similar move to what Germany did. You only require everyone to come home when war is about to break out. Russia seems intent that there will be a shooting war soon.

Russia also says, 'elect Trump, or there will be a war'.

FBI informer fully admits they had a great case against Hillary and everyone wanted to prosecute. Comey and Lynch pulled that plug. And this is somehow not news. Someone avoiding being prosecuted for political favor. The Italian mafia would blush.

These are serious times. And our media is nothing more than the Maury Povich show.

Posted by: Stringer Davis at October 13, 2016 09:46 AM (H5rtT)

Johnson was a vicious rat bastard but he achievedmost of his party's political objectives. If not forhis badly managed escalation of the VietnamWar, the Democrats would probably revere him as much as they do FDR and JFK.

436 Thanks for telling that. My wife has a similar story . She is an awesome person despite that experience. Maybe even because of it.
But she doesn't let it define her. You and she are similar that way I think.

Posted by: Mortimer, deplorable at October 13, 2016 09:32 AM (zu88C)

I hate to sound callous, but I think a lot of this shit has been totally overblown. Why anyone is "scarred" by some a non-relative one-off minor event is a mystery to me. Define me? That would be so incredibly silly, I can't even imagine it. I think a lot of the crying and whining about stuff like that is utterly fake.
Men have been convinced that women are some sort of delicate psyches who are destroyed by the least sign of sex while ate the same time they insist that they should be able to have indiscriminant sex with hookups and that's all good?

It's bullshit and it's political. I went to a thousand frat parties, concerts, et al where I was groped many a time. I either got away or hurt someone. I was never "scarred" in any way. We all talked about that stuff in college, and laughed.

This "delicate" sensibility stuff is crap. In fact, women are less delicate than men except physically. Meaner too. Men are nicer, more self sacrificing, and more tender hearted.

440 377 Gays in general are among the most fervent Dem voters of all
=============================

I don't find that true at all among my friends and/or relations who are gay. Super conservatives, all of them. My wife's hairdresser is practically ready to move to Canada, he's so upset with the decline in liberty, except that he finds Canadians boring. My cousin is a gay married guy and they both are huge Trumpers. Its all anecdotal, so it doesn't really count as worth relying on, but I'm thankful there are gay people in this town (they're among the few who agree with me).

You're not right. Hillary is a terrible candidate, did a horrible job as SoS, and has a paranoid and secretive nature worse than any politician in history.
But you're going down in the quicksand of conspiracy thinking. Quote the full paragraph of that blurb. Stay away from InfoWars.

Ding ding ding!!!

When I worked at a refinery, had a guy say to me, "Come over here, Irish, and sit on my lap. I'll give you the helicopter ride of your life!"

I told him his tootsie roll and two raisinets wouldn't do anything for me. The whole mech site erupted into guffaws and the a-hole never bothered me again.

Exactly. I recall dudes getting grabby during my salad days. I either said, knock it off, jerk, or made a joke - and they got the message.

It certainly didn't traumatize me for years or even hours. It was just something that happened from time to time and you dealt with it.

The whole idea of running to the dean of my boss or the cops or daddy because someone grabbed a tit never even occurred to me.

453 I'm against is the delusions, craziness, and conspiracy thinking.

Of course since all those conspiracies have turned out to be true; the media really is conspiring with the progressives, the rinos really are rinos on the side of the progs, Fast and Furious really was a government conspiracy, there really is voter fraud, the director of the FBI is a political hack who deliberately tanked the case against Hillary... The question is: aren't the people with the oh so sophisticated "life goes on as normal" viewpoint the ones who are truly insane?

454 There was a BS analysis that said that MSM gifted Trump $2 billion. I assume they multiplied all the time he was on the air by TV ad rates they got to this number.

With MSM TV news outlets mostly turned into a continual anti-Trump infomercial, what's the value of their in-kind contribution to Hillary.
