1 Good Morning Morons. Today is Saturday, October 08, 2016. Welcome to the first weekend only edition of VNN. On this day in 1918 in the Argonne Forest in France, United States Corporal Alvin C. York killed 28 German soldiers and captured 132, for which he was awarded the Medal of Honor. And thus setup one of my favorite movies; "mighty fine rifle gun".

2 Trump has issued an "apology" for his lewd, crude, and socially unacceptable (PC) statements about grabbing women. Meanwile some RINOs and "neverTrumpers" are insanely calling for him to drop out of the race one month before the election. Showing that they would rather have a crooked unindicted felon Scankles than Trump. A real Party would kick these people out. Its sad that it appears conservative Mike Lee from Utah is one of these people.

3 And I guess the top of the news this morning is Hemicane Mathew, It is currently (1 am) off the coast of GA approaching the coast of SC. It is a cat 2 but will shortly be downgraded to a cat 1 and then will shift East. All I am getting here is rain with winds at 15 mph and gusts to 20 mph. IOW a big nothingburger. Charleston is getting about the same.

This is a blood game and I used to go down to the local "hangout" to drink beer and cheer for GA in front of all the SC locals. GA managed to drop a 17 point lead in the first half last week and lose so I am not counting on this week. But traditionally this has always been a close game regardless of the stats.

____________________

What part of the federal government isn't engaged in outright fraud now (and for the past 7 years, at least)?

The Bureau of Labor Statistics manufactures whatever jobs numbers Barry requests. The DOJ conspires with the Clintons to shield Hillary and her cronies from criminal prosecution and destroy the evidence of their many crimes. OSHA, the EPA, the FEC, etc., just make up whatever the hell rules they want as they go along -- and the EPA actively conspires with private "green" groups to manufacture bullshit lawsuits against the federal government, for which the EPA then obligingly rolls over, leaving taxpayers on the hook for millions of dollars in phony damages, and giving the EPA a phony legal basis for instituting idiotic regulations that stifle competition and favor Dim cronies. The IRS refuses to prosecute illegal aliens for billions of dollars in tax fraud that they commit every year, and refuses to inform U.S. citizens when their SS numbers are stolen and used by illegals. DHS refuses to enforce immigration laws, uses taxpayer dollars to fly illegal aliens into and around the U.S., and tells illegal aliens how to falsely claim "refugee" or "crime victim" status (so they can then stay in the U.S. legally and also claim all those nice taxpayer-funded benefits). DHS also forces airports to hire shady muslims, and give local muslim activist groups tours of their secure facilities and seminars on their security procedures. HHS pays billions and billions of dollars to insurance companies, despite no authorization from congress, and on and on and on.

Obama has nearly completed his "fundamental transformation" of the U.S. government into a criminal organization run by and for the benefit of corrupt Dim-o-crats.

Meanwhile, GOP "leaders" are getting the vapors and taking to their fainting couches because private citizen Donald Trump boasted of grabbing womens' p*ssies in a private conversation with another man more than a decade ago. And these are many of the same GOP "leaders" who believed in the '90's that it was really no big deal that then-president Bill Clinton had been orally serviced by a teenage intern under the desk in the Oval Office.

Burn it down. And then nuke it from orbit. Only way to be sure.

57 The only reason theclintons didn't go this far into the weeds in 2008 was because tfg is black and they knew they couldn't win without the black vote.

The clintons will get just as dirty as they have to to win, including murdering those who appose them, and nobody in what passes for government in this country will stop or prosecute them because we have already gone down the rabbit hole.

As Bobby Knight once said (and it sent the snowflakes into a tizzy 25 or so years ago.) "When being raped, you might as well relax and enjoy it."

Posted by: Subterranean JT at October 08, 2016 07:03 AM (qG0hz)

58 "They're trying to lead." --------- NO. They are trying to betray. Mormonism is a horribly dangerous cult - vastly more dangerous than e.g. that L Ron Hubbard nonsense. When Clit Romney lost to McAmnesty in 2008, he was the very first to start undermining Sarah Palin in the summer of 2008, so as to destroy her as a potential opponent in the 2012 primaries. [Grandma "rhymes with rich" Bush was the second to attack Sarah, doubtless with her eye toward an El Jebbe! candidacy.]

Also, (((Chaffetz))) isn't even a real Mormon. He's a plant - a false flag operation - sent into Utah to guide and propel the Mormons towards ever greater destructiveness.

Finally, for folks who care about these things: By and large, the Mormons are NOT founding stock Americans. For instance, the Romneys are 19th Century immigrants from England. So it shouldn't surprise anyone that Mormonism does not have America's best interests at heart - it's just another form of unaccountable rootless global cosmopolitan nihilism.

152 Oh geez. I'm not believing this. You all are getting in a twist over THIS? Off the cuff remarks he made over a decade ago? While the usual suspects around here are running to their fainting couches over this, let me let you all in on a couple of dirty little secrets of life.

One is that I've been in a position, on more than one occasion over the years, to listen in on conversations among women regarding men and sex. And let me tell you, some of these conversations, among frequently college educated, upper middle class "ladies", would make a sailor blush. It happens. It's reality.

And as for what Trump said, well guess what? The guy is and has been RICH (if that word is not clear to you, it means he has a LOT of money) for most of his career. And he's a heterosexual male living in New York City. And here is the other dirty little secret; money, like power, is a POWERFUL aphrodisiac, very powerful. It draws women like flies. So here's Donald Trump, 10-20 years ago, and he's getting hit on by countless hot babes for the simple reason that he's rich. It happens. It's reality. I've lost count of how many times I've seen this over the years. Hell, it even happened to me a few times in my younger and "flush" days. Deal with it.

Now, does this mean EVERY woman will react this way when some rich guy comes around? No. But enough of them will to keep a guy like Trump busy, especially when he was younger. And that he would make some crass comment about p***y years ago when he was getting chased all over the countryside by horny golddiggers is no surprise, and a colossal nothingburger, at least to anyone who has been around the block a time or two and has more than two brain cells to rub together....

163 Among the huge stack of mostly useless or outright destructive laws and bills the CA gubner has been signing, there was one actual good one:

AB 1909
This bill would make it a felony punishable by imprisonment for 16 months or 2 or 3 years for a prosecuting attorney to intentionally and in bad faith alter, modify, or withhold any physical matter, digital image, video recording, or relevant exculpatory material or information, knowing that it is relevant and material to the outcome of the case, with the specific intent that the physical matter, digital image, video recording, or relevant exculpatory material or information will be concealed or destroyed, or fraudulently represented as the original evidence upon a trial, proceeding, or inquiry.

Auntie Brown signed the bill on Sept. 30th. Bust the deal, face the wheel.

You are shifting the goalposts, methinks. Which side is on offense on this issue? Hmm? Who is getting the attention and the activist passion to make abortion rarer at the state level? I remember when the left was on offense - they were actively trying to get pro-life groups charged with violating RICO laws, back in the late 80's and early 90's. Remember that? All of that nonsense has stopped now. The pro-life side is driving down the field now, on offense. Not every play goes for positive yardage, but the momentum is on our side now evidenced by things like lower abortion rates and increasing public support for making abortion rarer. 78% of Americans favor making abortion clinics having the same standards as ambulatory surgical centers, as in the Texas law, even though the left and the media are out there every day saying "it's just a ruse and a pretext to force women to get backalley abortions!! they hate women!!!!!!!" What does that tell you? I think you are falling for the all-or-nothing fallacy, that anything short of a total victory is equivalent to a defeat. No, it isn't.

I don't know. To be honest I think the past persecution of pro-life groups is so far in the past, and pro-lifers have changed their tactics as well from the more in-your-face protests to quieter more civil ones. I think the chances of anyone - Obama, Hillary, Trump, anyone - reviving the RICO prosecution stuff is pretty nil.

Now let me ask you some questions. Do you think having both major parties represented by pro-abortion candidates will tend to increase, or decrease, the number of abortions in this country?
Why do you think Obama didn't try the RICO prosecution thing against pro-life groups? After all he's had the Justice Department wrapped around his finger for the past 8 years.
To the extent that abortion law is decided by courts, do you think it is important to have a president who understands this and is committed to appointing pro-life justices, as opposed to someone who is either indifferent or hostile to the prolife cause?

( Remember NJ's governor McGreevy? That being said: I'd like to think of myself as a class act, but I am certain that if someone trailed me 24/7 with a recorder, I'd eventually say something horribly offensive and knuckle-draggingly coarse, whether it be a political, sexual or spiritual comment. Now if Trump were , say, Alec Baldwin or even a Bill Clinton, he'd certainly get a pass and we'd be told by our left-leaning-betters to, " not be so puritanical."

Now I have to figure out how to use it. And why?

Posted by: ngu

imo, just signing up is enough. Gab will be just as much of a time suck as twitter. But Gab is a way to attack twitter. As more people sign up for Gab and dump twitter, it hurts an already wounded company. Which they richly deserve.

I've said before that I will sign up for Gab when ace does. I don't plan to use it, I just want to kick twitter in the nads.

226 Morning all! As a buttoned-down quiet Midwesterner, I'm not particularly offended by DJT's latest. That is the way some people talk in private, although I don't know very many, and NYC seems to pride itself on vulgarity of one kind or another. We all knew this from the get-go so acting all surprised and upset seems ridiculous.

I suppose the opposition has a stack of silly stuff like that to release weekly until the election -- especially to distract from the Washington-Wall St money train stopping and unloading at Clinton Inc.

189. For example - which of the two candidates most likely to win the
election is least likely to use the federal government as a cudgel
against conservatives, prolifers, amd others not onboard with the prog
project? Would the principle be applicable to a case such as this?

Posted by: Your Decidedly Devious Uncle Palpatine, Still Accepting Harem Applicants at October 08, 2016 08:33 AM (e2VPZ)

Oh I think Trump is less likely to use the government as a weapon against conservatives, for sure. I do think he is likely to use government as a weapon against groups that get in his way. Which some here would cheer on, but I would not. Government shouldn't be used as a weapon against anyone's political tribe on any side.

I'm not really seeing the connection to abortion here. Would Trump be better than Hillary when it comes to abortion? Well, yes. But at best Trump is indifferent to abortion, and compared to where we are at today in terms of public opinion, Trump would be a step *backwards*.

Hillary is a hypocrite like Merkel. Like the female mayor of Cologne. Like the female council that runs Rotherham. Liberal hoi polloi seem to forgive their leaders for anything, as long as those leaders pay deference to them with their lips. They need to be shamed out of that behavior.

No one knows about Skolkovo, which the FBI said was a security risk, a way of passing military tech to Russia. So of course it happened with Hillary help. Chinagate revisited.

These globalists are not Americanists ... Americans are a problem for them. So we are labeled, marginalized .. same tactic on US as on Trump. Same as in "The Firm" where they hold blackmail on Cruz. This is what they do, it is who they are.

Came across this, I think it sums things up pretty well.

TO: TPTB
From: An
American Citizen
Gentlemen;
It has come to my attention that you are holding a quadrennial election for President of the United States. As a concerned citizen I must protest this insane reality show you have replaced my normally scheduled election with. this is unacceptable.
Currently our economy is in sad shape, more people out of work than ever recorded. You all seem determined, despite the wishes of our citizens, to "Fire the electorate and import another" since we are unwilling to go along with your globalization schemes that enrich you at the expense of the many.
The treasury is printing money like there is no tomorrow and cannot stop or the game of Musical Chairs for Financial Ruin will crash the economy of the entire world.
Drug use among the unemployed/permanent underclass has skyrocketed as hope has evaporated, and the response from the DEA is to reduce the stocks of painkillers by 25% and attack the medical profession for prescribing them. The Heroin Cartel thanks you profusely.
The Middle East, always a thorny area of the world considering everyone who lives there hates all their neighbors. has been turned into a bloodbath. Our current leadership has made a bad situation much worse. Their warriors will come here to kill us. Count on it.
Our current leadership appears to be trying to start a war with Russia. As a child in the 1960's I still remember when we were in a cold war with Russia, and we respected the power of a nuclear weapon to rain death down on our cities. Has this possibility been completely forgotten or are our leaders simply so arrogant or careless that they accept that amount of devastation as something our nation can 'absorb' like a terror attack?
Lastly, I believe you and your friends are responsible for this pervasive attempt to silence any opposition to your schemes with Political Correctness. That is simply evil. The damage you are doing to an entire generation of young Americans will be with us for decades, and may well lead to the dissolution of our nation. If that begins no one can predict where it will end.
Therefore, I am as of this day withdrawing my consent as a member of 'The Governed.' I will pay my taxes as one coerced at the point of a gun. I will obey such laws as I deem legal and just. I will resist with all legal means absolutely every thing that you propose or subscribe to, whether a good idea or not because it is inevitably the fruit of a poisoned tree. No amount of persuasion will ever make me believe in anything you stand for ever again.
Sincerely,

An American Citizen.

Alright...here goes:

I grew up around macho men, but REAL macho men who wouldn't think twice about hurting you if you ever dared even look cross-eyed at their wife/daughter/mother/sister/any female they may even remotely know or be slightly related-to. ( when I was in grammar school, there was a boy who went around punching girls in the arm, my dad visited the schoolyard one day and threatened to put his work-boot up the lid's a-- if he ever touched a girl again.)

That being said, many times, their conversations , especially when there was a festive occasion (wine!), could veer into the ribald..especially when they were discussing their virility or how 'alpha' they were. I believe it was called bantering. Oh, and if anyone was the father of twins, they got to brag about how 'powerful' their seed was. I can only imagine that what they said in private, away from the ladies, was even more ribald.

So, dems can kill babies, throw gays under the bus; take away our First and Second Amendment rights, destroy our economy, create a fascist state, steal elections; create a permanent subaltern class in the inner cities; stoke riots; brainwash our children and erode our sovereignty without impunity and DJT is a leper because can be crude?

And I do not care what Donald Trump said ten years ago. He. is. NOT. Hillary.

284 What's shocking about Trump's pussy-grabbing comment is this:

How many hours and how many people did Hillary!'s team use to go hunting after every scrap of tape and video of Trump-

just so they could Alinsky him?

Really?

That's who Ryan and the GOPe want for President?

They want Hillary! who will use every bit of FBI, CIA, IRS, etc she can lay her hands on-

to be President.

The same Hillary! who "misplaced" all those FBI rumor files about then current politicians

which were then later found to be in her hands.

That Hillary!?

Welp....I guess it really is Alinsky's world and we're all dancing to his tune until we don't.

I'd love love to have all the private conversation tapes of all of these Dim and GOPe types acting so shocked right now-

as if they were 13 year old virgin girls from 1890-

and just see how consistent they all were.

285 Sir, goulash is not on the menu.

Are we discussing abortion or are we discussing Trump? I'm talking about the pro-life issue broadly. I argue that it would be harmed long-term if Trump and hence Trumpism would be successful, because it would show to the rest of the Republican candidates - many of whom already only show lip-service to pro-life issues - that they can at last ditch the pretense of supporting pro-life causes and go full-on pro-abortion. The pro-life cause would go back to more like what it was like in the 70's and 80's - an underground movement with little to no official support.

329 Just a note for Evangelicals, when your liberal Christian associates tell you that you have to vote for Hillary because Jesus was a socialist: that's a load of horse pucky.

The Bible focuses on the individual's relationship to God, and pretty much steers clear of anything to do with politics. And what little politics it does discuss is not applicable to our current situation, because it was said with regards to the Roman Empire, not a democracy.

So basically, you have to decide what to do according to your conscience. Don't let liberals con you and bully you with their bogus, Biblically illiterate sophistry.

Exactly, the right tone. Trump needs to load up on specifics both about her and Bill, in case Hillary wants to wrestle in the mud.

But, then alway pivot to her horrible record and policies.

Use her newly revealed speeches to show her to be lying about well, everything.

If he does this he will win, but he has to stay the same "on offense" Trump that the voters decided they liked in the primaries.

Yup. The only question now is which bait Hillary is going to use on him tomorrow. Will she question his business ventures again? No she did that already. She'll question his manhood and call him "not a real man" or some such. And he'll get all defensive and go off on some horrible cringe-inducing tangent. And then, three days later, when the news cycle on it has finally ended, he'll fire off a 3am tweetstorm about it again to make sure it will remain in the news just a little bit longer.

357 So very glad to see there are more and more people here who will talk about the globalist agenda.
Been around this place for going on 8 years. You heard little to none of this when I first started lurking and later commenting.
Part of the reason I think, lack of knowledge.
Another reason maybe, to paraphrase, you're a tin foil hat nutcase or you're just looking for someone to blame for your lack of success. That list goes on.

And yet Goldwater himself warned us about a certain organization's desire to do away with our national sovereignty around 50 years ago. A list of it's members and former members would be quite enlightening for some of you,,, maybe.

And if you think GHWB's "new world order" was all about a world full of free, democratic republics,,, raise your hand.

And don't forget, McCarthy was ridiculed heavily by what is now being refered to here as the uniparty,,, and later proven right.

And one more thing. Actually there are a lot more but not now.
Supreme court "victories" are nice and all but they aren't going to be worth a Zimbabwe dollar when the existing powers that be decide it's all or nothing time.

Chances this will get willowed?
Heh. A whole lot.

Right, and the GOPe have revealed they are with Hillary. So Be It. Good they are smoked out and are now shooting the arrows at US.

Trump has apologized, maybe one more time when it is brought up, and say "That's it, my talk and some actions were crass in my Hollywood reality TV days, but no more so than most. And while Hillary can say the sexual assault victims from Bill are not her fault, she had everything to do with trashing them and pushing them out of the Clinton Crime family political pathways.

The American People deserve to hear how I will rebuild the country Hillary has been tearing down. The People deserve to hear that what she tells Big Bankers privately, is that she lies to the little people so they will vote for her. They deserve to hear of her plans to extend NAFTA to the whole hemisphere, and completely open our borders.

Hillary can have all the sex secrets she wants, but America deserves to know how she has lied to them, taken hundreds of millions from our enemies. That is what this election is about. If they want to make it about my sex talk, remember Hillary has a long string of sexual assault victims that she tried to destroy, not help. Her pursuit of raw power has bulldozed many good people."

Trump has to turn it to issues, but also compare his words to Hillary's deeds. The MFM will demand Trump grovel for the next month, and many R's will join that chorus. They are the domestic enemy.

376 Well . . . hey now . . . thought we pretty much knew all of The Donald's "out there" statements ~ but this one is going to hurt. And, no, I do not think going after Bill and Hillary and all their disgusting antics is going to help. All that stuff is known and hashed and rehashed and, for better or for worse, Democrats get to act disgustingly perverted and have marital infidelities all they want with almost no repercussions (I mean a married Elliot Spitzer, who was banging hookers up the @ss, got his own TV show for chrissakes and Anthony Wiener was still being talked about in "comeback" terms as recently as a year ago! I mean what the hell do these people have to do before they are disqualified from not only elected office but also even being present in the public square?!~ but I digress). Republicans do not get this privilege.

And the Jackoffs in the GOPe who fall over themselves to delegitimize Trump at every disclosure are really getting to me ~ just wait at least one or two news cycles before you do anything meatheads!! Why must you join in the feeding frenzy immediately, thus, helping the other side to victory. Just keep your traps shut you a~holes ( I am looking at you Sen. Lee and Rep. Ryan ~ just shut the feck up).

Anyway ~ hate to be all doom and gloom but the opportunity of taking advantage of the "Hillary is part of the New World Order, Open Borders One World government crowd" is lost forever, "like tears in rain" over this one. I think this is the last straw for most middle of the road undecideds and they are going to break the other way ~ barring an absolute home run in the next debate ( for which DJT is not preparing ~ dude? ~ really? Again I digress ~ sigh).

Sorry ~ had to get that off my chest ~ I know its before noon ~ but I am already reaching for the bourbon. Gonna hit it hard tonight.

They firmly believe that there's a "Shy Tory" effect in the US and that Brexit points to something relevant in US elections. So far, I've seen no evidence of it. I remember the great unskewing polls debacle of 2012.

504 I use a Melitta filter cone. Note that Streamline-Moderne coffee-istas who refer to this as "just drip" or "Pour-over coffee" are consumers of the Starbucked faux-espresso ash. When I make actual espresso, I use espresso beans and an espresso maker, and it is stronger than stud horse piss with the foam farted off.

Old coffee measure from when ChockFul was a premium brand -- I've measured it, and it's two level tablespoons. Also have checked, one of these filled with small to medium beans will yield just that amount after going through a burr grinder, so you don't have to adjust whether you're grinding or using pre-ground.

The 8 marker on the carafe is actually 5 real "mugs," so five of those measures for an 8-cup pot. Traditional coffee cups were 6 ounces. "Jitters," they called it.

If it was blackmail, wouldn't they have used it in the intervening years? No one knew someday he would run for President. Just seems weird to me.

It didn't matter until now. It was secret. He knew he had a mic on him, he didn't care. He was bragging. It was probably "off the record," but nothing really is.
Especially if the media want Hillary to win.

That is who hillary is. It defines her. It was more than a decade after the rape, she had a daughter of her own, and she has NEVER apologized for trying to once-again victimize Kathy Shelton in order to aggrandize herself with an interview that, unfortunately for the Clintons, never made it to the pages of Esquire or whatever publication for which it was made. Exactly. Voters who were angry with "business as usual" in Washington created the Tea Party. It was marginalized and crushed by the political establishment and the media. They were called racist, violent, etc.

Now that voter anger has taken the form of Trump. The usual suspects are using the same tactics to marginalize Trump supporters.

Well, he knows better than anyone else where the little mines are buried. If he wasn't ready for this to come out, this month, he wasn't prepared for a serious run at the Presidency.

If you google, look for the Free Beacon article. I listened to it when it was first discovered a couple of years ago and literally cried for the victim. That vile, nasty woman reveled in the pain she inflicted upon a child and, later, wanted to again punish her as an adult. Kathy Shelton could not have children bc of the severity and brutality of the rape. (She was also beaten by these two men.)

Posted by: rickl the deplorable at October 08, 2016 10:37 AM

As a measurer, this will take your measurerness to the next level.

It will be '6 oz. H2O at STP, but the ambient temperature is x, the H2O temperature is y, and the current barometric pressure is z. Therefore, the adjusted amount of H2O in the system is A, and therefore the appropriate amount of coffee to utilize is B.'

This is a level of empiricism that the Dumpers will never understand exists, much less appreciate and enjoy.

I suggest a Thermapen for temperature readings of both the environment and H2O. You can utilize the local weather reports for barometric pressure until you're ready to purchase your own precision barometer.
