Obama has nearly completed his "fundamental transformation" of the U.S. government into a criminal organization run by and for the benefit of corrupt Dim-o-crats.
Meanwhile, GOP "leaders" are getting the vapors and taking to their fainting couches because private citizen Donald Trump boasted of grabbing womens' p*ssies in a private conversation with another man more than a decade ago. And these are many of the same GOP "leaders" who believed in the '90's that it was really no big deal that then-president Bill Clinton had been orally serviced by a teenage intern under the desk in the Oval Office.

eh I can't get all outragedly-outraged over attempts to reform the criminal justice system. It is fucked up in a lot of different ways. I think there are some good ideas and some bad ideas in Mike Lee's proposal, but I'm not opposed to the idea in concept.
What I would really like to see in criminal justice reform is some way for State AG's or some such to empanel a grand jury to investigate federal crimes, so as to address the issue with the insider corruption between the FBI and Hillary.

Yeah. Fact is, my health is declining rapidly, and I expect to be told by the doctors soon there is nothing they can do for me, and that it will be all over soon. While I don't relish the idea of dying, neither do I want to live through what I know is coming soon, as it is not going to be pretty. Like you, I'm fortunate in that I have no children of my own, although there is a stepdaughter I'm rather fond of. I've prepared her as best I can (including firearms), but there is little more I can do. I just hope she will be smart enough to know when to bug out...

That being said: I'd like to think of myself as a class act, but I am certain that if someone trailed me 24/7 with a recorder, I'd eventually say something horribly offensive and knuckle-draggingly coarse, whether it be a political, sexual or spiritual comment. Now if Trump were , say, Alec Baldwin or even a Bill Clinton, he'd certainly get a pass and we'd be told by our left-leaning-betters to, " not be so puritanical."

Oh I think Trump is less likely to use the government as a weapon against conservatives, for sure. I do think he is likely to use government as a weapon against groups that get in his way. Which some here would cheer on, but I would not. Government shouldn't be used as a weapon against anyone's political tribe on any side.
I'm not really seeing the connection to abortion here. Would Trump be better than Hillary when it comes to abortion? Well, yes. But at best Trump is indifferent to abortion, and compared to where we are at today in terms of public opinion, Trump would be a step *backwards*.

I consider myself to be an Evangelical Christian. I *mostly* know other Christians....I don't think *most* of us are as delicate and judgemental as everyone seems to think we are. In fact, I *am* a Christian because I know just how foul I can be, and I need forgiveness. I think most others are the same. I could be wrong, but I get the sense that church people know just how important this election is for them personally.

I grew up around macho men, but REAL macho men who wouldn't think twice about hurting you if you ever dared even look cross-eyed at their wife/daughter/mother/sister/any female they may even remotely know or be slightly related-to. ( when I was in grammar school, there was a boy who went around punching girls in the arm, my dad visited the schoolyard one day and threatened to put his work-boot up the lid's a-- if he ever touched a girl again.)
That being said, many times, their conversations , especially when there was a festive occasion (wine!), could veer into the ribald..especially when they were discussing their virility or how 'alpha' they were. I can only imagine that what they said in private, away from the ladies, was even more ribald.

I argue that it would be harmed long-term if Trump and hence Trumpism would be successful, because it would show to the rest of the Republican candidates - many of whom already only show lip-service to pro-life issues - that they can at last ditch the pretense of supporting pro-life causes and go full-on pro-abortion. The pro-life cause would go back to more like what it was like in the 70's and 80's - an underground movement with little to no official support.

I freely admit that I haven't paid any attention to Trump's latest

At this point, it's obvious for every rational being that Trump has no chance of winning the election and the only way of defeating Hillary is if he steps down and lets Pence have a go at it. Worst case scenario, the GOP loses by fewer. There's no downside whatsoever to it.

The traditional "coffee cup" was 6 ounces. They came with saucers in dinnerware sets. You can see people using them in old movies and TV shows. Most people switched to mugs in the 70s or thereabouts.
When I use the coffee maker at work, two "cups" fills my 12 oz. mug perfectly.

Old coffee measure from when ChockFul was a premium brand -- I've measured it, and it's two level tablespoons. Also have checked, one of these filled with small to medium beans will yield just that amount after going through a burr grinder, so you don't have to adjust whether you're grinding or using pre-ground.
The 8 marker on the carafe is actually 5 real "mugs," so five of those measures for an 8-cup pot. Traditional coffee cups were 6 ounces. "Jitters," they called it.

I work for a large corporation. Every year they make us got through our files (paper, computer, email...) and purge everything over a year old unless the file is required to be kept longer by law or industry specification. I think it's a lawsuit cya kinda move. But keeping things that long unless you knew they might have value is a little odd.

You can bet that Clinton had bus loads of paid protesters on their way to that rally. Van loads of media were all set and had their talking points distributed and ready to air.

And it is alleged by Kathleen Wiley (I believe it, especially given the times and the difficulty in speaking out) that Bill Clinton approached her, a married woman, and she said No and he raped her anyway.
Never happen I know but if it comes up at the debates Trump might say yes I said those things about a woman who rejected me, but when she said No I did not pursue her. Unlike your husband Bill, with whom you stand, who abused Kathleen Wiley when she said No to his advances.
