I alluded to this in the post below but did not have a link. I just knew it from John Sexton.
So here's the reason you have nothing to fear from President Hillary, my friends.The Obama administration failed to follow its own health care law by directing funds to insurers instead of taxpayers, nonpartisan government investigators said Thursday, chalking up a win for GOP critics and denting the White House's ability to satisfy insurers who are losing money under the overhaul. The Affordable Care Act established a three-year "reinsurance" program to collect funds from participating insurers and then pay a portion to plans that took on costlier enrollees. Yet it was supposed to allocate some of its collections to the Treasury, too. The administration projected it would take in $10 billion for reinsurance purposes and $2 billion for the Treasury in 2014, the program’s first year. When collections fell short of estimates, the Health and Human Services Department prioritized payments to insurers over the Treasury, angering Republicans who said the agency put its contentious program over taxpayers, who got nothing.That was illegal, that was incandescently unconstitutional, but seriously guys, we should elect Hillary Clinton to teach those low-class non-college-educated hooligans who want to replace the Presidential Seal with Pepe the Frog to ever fuck with our enlightened and benevolent power again. I mean, Trump called an overweight beauty pageant winner overweight. We can't have that. Not quite our class, dear.

My hope for Trump is to go through the Executive branch much like Sherman's march to the sea. Clear cut everything in sight. Remove the cancerous growths called the Dept. of Education, Energy, Justice, the EPA, IRS, etc. And it this point if some healthy tissue (good portions of these agencies if they exist) get destroyed, so be it.

The animosity, the hatred on display at the personal level between HRC supporters and those of DJT are increasing. There is no debate anymore on issues. On any discussion it rapidly descends into personal attacks -verbal and increasingly physical.

Apparently they've decided it is so since they had a a higher % of Asian applicants than eventually hired. Never mind that this has no bearing on whether those applicants were qualified, or any other factors.

Their hope is things go back to normal, with the idea that after the entire Establishment doing everything to kneecap Trump, we're all going to line up behind Paul Ryan or whomever the next nominee ends up being. No hard feelings for getting Hillary elected.
It's not going to happen.
And honestly, the split in the Party has far more people on the Trump side than the Jeb Bush/Romney/McCain/Paul Ryan tribe.

Trump says what isn't said by politicians, but there are parts of his campaign I wish he ran like he was a politician. In 2014 this happened. *AFTER* we gave the Republicans majorities in both houses of congress. It is probably not as bad as Fast and Furious but that happened before the GOP had enough votes to do squat so I can forgive them for doing squat about that.
I *will* still vote for my incumbent GOP rep this election, he is a 2014 guy, long term GOPer though and probably way too cozy with the beltway folks but better than the D at this point.
Still, electing Trump is only one first step to addressing the rot in DC. Almost every incumbent congress critter needs to be tossed out and a whole lot of bureaucrats need to be removed from all the various federal agencies.
Perhaps if the world banking house of cards collapses and the government is broke a Trump president might be able to use that as an opportunity to fire most of the EPA, DOE, other DOE etcetera. We know a president Hillary would just use the excuse to impose price controls on food and housing ala Venezuela et al.

Trump is the only option. If he's elected, then the press, democrats, and republicans will line up to impeach him if he steps out of line. If Hillary is elected, the weaponization of the IRS, FBI, etc continues unabated - as the press would never do their jobs, and a democrat would never vote to impeach one of their own.
If she does win, I'm retiring as soon as possible and pray they don't come after my 401k.

And i have to do the same thing. I can't tell my congregations who to vote for, but I need to convince some of my colleagues who are upper middle class women (and men0 clergy who think Trump is awful but if they knew as much about Hillary as they should they might pull the lever for him. Some i think I'm going to have to travel miles to talk with them personally because a e-mail won't have the same effect.

Trump leads with married women, particularly SAHMs. I'm a SAHM in the upper middle income bracket and the nice church ladies I know don't have a problem with Trump support. They don't view Trump as somehow worse than McCain and his many marriages. Since Trump leads with marrieds, our votes will count just fine.
This does relate to ace's class tension stuff though. My husband and I have certainly run into the kind of "conservative" who thinks Trump is de trop, but who also has 1/3 our household income but considers themselves UMC and superior due to having a pair of posh BAs.
But hey, continue believing no conservative women can have a high household income and openly support Trump in a swing state. And man, poor Texas to have to have such smugs living in that fine land.

i pointed out all Bill's rape victims and how she had helped victimize them after the fact, and that she has also defended a child molester who raped a 12 year old to the point where she could never have children, and got him off with basically "time served" prior to trial.

What specific values is he against? Yes, he is divorced. Many politicians are divorced. He has a family that he is obviously close to. He is reaching out to different races, which policians don't always do, especially Republicans. Is it his stance on abortion? Or some other specific issue?
If it's just being conservative.. once again, so what? Is he more conservative than Hillary? Is he more likely to have solid ideas to make America a better place, or will all of us do better with a million or so Muslims with b0mbs roaming the country?
Finally, look at WWII. We were on the same side as effing Stalin. What would have happened if we said "Gee Joseph, we could really use your help in this war, but you're just not democratic for us; you're just not the type of people we want on our side. Best of luck and all?"
Is the final asnwer "Sorry Donald, you're not conservative eough, so I'll throw my lot behind the vindictive communist crimiminal with potential brain damage who will undoubtely bring bankruptcy, war and strife to the nation."

What specific values is he against? Yes, he is divorced. Many politicians are divorced. He has a family that he is obviously close to. He is reaching out to different races, which policians don't always do, especially Republicans. Is it his stance on abortion? Or some other specific issue?
If it's just being conservative.. once again, so what? Is he more conservative than Hillary? Is he more likely to have solid ideas to make America a better place, or will all of us do better with a million or so Muslims with b0mbs roaming the country?
Finally, look at WWII. We were on the same side as effing Stalin. What would have happened if we said "Gee Joseph, we could really use your help in this war, but you're just not democratic for us; you're just not the type of people we want on our side. Best of luck and all?"
Is the final asnwer "Sorry Donald, you're not conservative eough, so I'll throw my lot behind the vindictive communist crimiminal with potential brain damage who will undoubtely bring bankruptcy, war and strife to the nation."

The obvious problem, of course, with Ace's logic, is that there's absolutely no end in sight the hoops one must jump through for Trump, no matter what he does.
If your starting proposition is that the other side is irredeemably worse, and always will be, why, there's nothing that YOUR side can do that is worse than the other side.
Even associating with, and promoting, racists and racist groups / organizations.
So all of this must be ignored, of course, because EVERYTHING the other side does is worse, right? Our side is always right.
Except, of course, when they're trying to not kick out all of those brown folks, or worse, allow more of those brown folk in. That's unforgivable.
