AP: ISIS Buried Thousands in Mass Graves

Between them, the two scenes of horror on Sinjar mountain contain six burial sites and the bodies of more than 100 people, just a small fraction of the mass graves Islamic State extremists have scattered across Iraq and Syria.
In exclusive interviews, photos and research, The Associated Press has documented and mapped 72 of the mass graves, the most comprehensive survey so far, with many more expected to be uncovered as the Islamic State group's territory shrinks. In Syria, AP has obtained locations for 17 mass graves, including one with the bodies of hundreds of members of a single tribe all but exterminated when IS extremists took over their region. For at least 16 of the Iraqi graves, most in territory too dangerous to excavate, officials do not even guess the number of dead. In others, the estimates are based on memories of traumatized survivors, Islamic State propaganda and what can be gleaned from a cursory look at the earth.
Still, even the known numbers of victims buried are staggering — from 5,200 to more than 15,000.

What adds to the outrage is that Christians and Yazidis are special targets of ISIS wrath, but don't go into the UN camps because they know that the Muslims in the camps will kill them while they sleep. We only take refugees from the UN camps, so QED no Christians nor Yazidis refugees come to the US.

But we actually have a statute that prioritizes US asylum for victims of religious persecution.

When one of my kids was a kid he was tasked with talking to a veteran for a school report. A neighbor provided the most gut wrenching story of a night in Korea leading a bunch of Turks. What you mentioned was in his tale. Easy E's story brought tears to my son and he let me hear it (he recorded it). I had the same reaction. He had never told his family of the night he was 'shot' but basically the Koreans or Chinese knew it was the Turks that were the ones that raided their compound, they came looking and found them and killed everyone except my neighbor. One of the Koreans pointed a pistol right at his forehead and pulled the trigger.

He awoke with a graze wound and dead Turks all around him. He always figured the guy let him live.
