6 Scankles hit PA and OH proclaiming that she will restart their shitty economy. Unsaid was her prior promise to continue the Obamaconamy of Depression II. PA and OH are must haves for Scankles. She can not allow Trump to swing them back to the Republican side and she is worried. In the last polls ran OH is deadlocked in a two-way poll but Trump leads by 3 when you include the side candidates and Scankles leads in PA. Which means Trump is actually leading in OH and PA is probably a tossup. FL is a tossup but the poll is old, no available polls for the rest of the toss-ups.

13 Mornin'.

Got caught up in watching all Mike Tyson's fights in order (one convenient channel on YouTube.) Remembering how we used to pony up for pay-per-view for some of them.

Still pisses me off that the ref gave Douglas the long count when Tyson had him down. Tyson had that fight won. Not that it would have mattered much though as his career didn't have much life left to it anyway at that point.

The early fights were a hoot. Sure the opponents were a bunch of mooks but damn, he knocked just about everybody out within a minute.

My favorite was the quick demolition of Michael Spinks, but at the time I sure wasn't happy! We had a party for that fight and the main event was over before everyone had even sat down. That was one of the ones at Trump's casinos.

This guy will never walk even though his conviction was based on a wiretap without a court order, which was the same thing Bill Ayers' conviction was thrown out on. But I have no problem with this guy rotting in jail, and I do have a problem with Bill Ayers walking. I have long said that cops who violate the law to obtain evidence should be punished, not the public. But note that in 1961 it was not illegal to run a wiretap without a warrant.

For eight plus years I've been in favor of a business leader being in charge of the country and returning some fiscal sanity to the nation. I didn't see DT's face when I said that.

The problem is, a really top level businessman can make ten or twenty million a year in business. Why take such a huge cut in pay to be president?

So you end up with a DT who doesn't need the money. Remains to see how he'll do but the alternative is just too ugly to imagine.

This one guy explored the reasons why blacks steal (in New Jersey nobody will GIVE them a job), all about "drank" which is mainly codeine and seems to me a crappy way to get a buzz, and the illegal guns. First he went to Atlanta which is all sorts of illegal because it so easy to get guns including the dreaded gun show loophole. He also talked to a former (yeah right) gun runner, that showed how easy it is to break into a gun shop...using a bulldozer.
Last was going to Chicago and talking to some guy that would get guns and pass them out to his crew so that everyone on the block was armed. At the last of the Chicago interview, the reporter said that the main reason for the shootings is the two P's.... Pride and Pussy.
Hmmm. We keep getting told it's because of drugs.

The Democrats and OBama did their normal thing, they took a recession caused by a housing collapse (which was also due to them) and turned it into a Depression.

86 Heard the salesclerk at local gas and go tell customer that governor of pennsylania has raised cigarette taxes by a dollar a pack effective August first.

Which brings up a pet peeve. On drive back from Indiana two weeks ago they have these 'work areas' every ten miles or so It seemed. Dramatic speed reduction, signs for 'fines doubled', etc. Even though driving on workday during work hours in well over half of them no actual work was being done. Taxpayer annoyance is what they are.

97 Maybe one of you Morons can help me out here...

Two days ago Twitter notified me that my account was locked because it was "compromised" by a website or service not associated with Twitter. They wanted me to change my password, which I did.

Now today, it says that my account has been suspended because of some activity that is against their rules (they list a bunch, but don't specify which one I violated.) And in order to reinstate my account, the first thing I have to do is give them a phone number. ?! WTH

Here's the thing--I don't use Twitter. In about five years, I may have tweeted (usually re-tweeted) about 10 things. Most of the time, I just click on a Twitter link from Instapundit.

I'd like to just go in and delete my entire account, but the only page I can get to is the one that demands my phone number.

170 I saw the Iowa vs Bismarck thing on the ONT. An Iowa would be overkill. A South Dakota or a North Carolina would have been able to take Bismarck, and honestly a Colorado or Tennessee with the upgraded fire control probably could have got the job done. West Virginia (Colorado class) hit Yamishiro at 22,000 some odd yards with her first salvo in the dark. That's pretty good shooting.

Maybe one of you Morons can help me out here...

Two days ago
Twitter notified me that my account was locked because it was
"compromised" by a website or service not associated with Twitter. They
wanted me to change my password, which I did.

Now today, it says
that my account has been suspended because of some activity that is
against their rules (they list a bunch, but don't specify which one I
violated.) And in order to reinstate my account, the first thing I have
to do is give them a phone number. ?! WTH

Here's the thing--I
don't use Twitter. In about five years, I may have tweeted (usually
re-tweeted) about 10 things. Most of the time, I just click on a Twitter
link from Instapundit.

I'd like to just go in and delete my entire account, but the only page I can get to is the one that demands my phone number.

Turkey's Jews have been there for well over a thousand years, but the greatest influx was in the wake of the Inquisition.

When I was in Istanbul 6 years ago almost immediately after the Mavi Marmara incident, there was a definitely palpable undercurrent of Joo-hate. I can't even imagine what that community is going through right now.

Thank G-d that there is an Israel for them to go to. But, since they are as much Turkish as they are Jewish, it will be painful for them to have to leave, although that is what they - and the Jews of Europe - are going to have to do.

---------------------------------------------------------------

What annoys me the most about Hillary trotting out the Muslim family is thus and those once again freaking out about Trump:

They never get this upset at the thousands of Americans have died due to Islamic warriors, or the hundred of thousands (perhaps millions) of other infidels who have died due to Islamic oppression and Islamic warriors.

No in fact they make it clear we cannot be critical of this religion. I don't mean mindless name calling, but even quoting from Islam's most important holy books is somehow seen as "racist" arguments against Islam. Then these same people tell us we must allow more and more Muslims into the country, and they use parents like these to prove some point.

Well - There were American communist and people who had Nazi sympathies who fought the Nazi Germans in WWII. Does that mean those two idiotic ideologies are now redeemed because of their sacrifice to the country?

Worse, we never confront the adherents of Islam, forcing them to make the choice between certain Islamic views that are at a complete contradiction to western values, much less American values.

One example that contradiction is equality of women to men under the law. None of the people, like a certain congressman from Wisconsin, ever worries that bringing in a bunch of sexual segregationist into the country could be a big problem for America down the road. No instead he worries that it is against the constitution to not let them in!

So Trump saying ill worded things (where is the story in that?) is worse then letting in lots of people who think it should be codified into the law that women should be segregated from men.

Which is worse?

I hope people with a functioning brain can figure this out...just for self preservation reasons alone.

232 Yes the museum is off base near the South gate. No ID required. It's a great place to go on a hot Summer day because they keep it nice and cold in there. If you like planes you will really enjoy it. You can't miss it because there is a B-2 and A-10 sitting out front.

General Robert Scott (God Is My Co-Pilot) was instrumental in getting the museum started back in the Eighties. I have helped out a little here and there over the years and am really proud of what it has become.

233 Oh, and good morning. Also, I lost it for 60 Minutes when they did a hatchet job on the Sergeant York DIVAD weapons system in early 80's. i knew insiders directly involved who related just how low, lying, dishonest, dishonorable and underhanded the 60 crowd were - anything but evenhanded, truthful, reasonable, or with the best interests of America in mind. Then I saw the same for myself a few years later with 48 Hours - same lying manipulation of facts on a piece i was directly involved.

F the MSM - they are only interested in provoking controversy in order to sell more catfood.

240 What annoys me the most about Hillary trotting out the Muslim family is thus and those once again freaking out about Trump: "

Frankly, I'm a bit surprised that Huma got only one Muslim appearance front and center. I'd wager that polling data showed it to be an unpopular move...

I also notice that this is an ABC move (George S in charge), not getting much (if any) traction outside of them.

FWIW, Trump will live in the MSM's collective head rent free...

The Imam is still preaching there that sex slaves are great! Yet, according to certain idiots, this is not as bad as Trump trying to prevent guys like this from coming into the country due to his religious beliefs. BTW - That Imam can point to passages in the Quran which would prove his point. Yes, Allah said Muslim men can have infidel sex slaves. There is nothing radical about it at all, but a traditional belief in Islam.

Self preservation, common sense, critical thinking, seeing what is right there in front of your f*cking face. It has all been conditioned out of people. It's the only explanation for '08, '12, and Europe. If there were any hope of people coming to their senses, and pulling back from the abyss, we wouldn't be where we are right now.

Ayup. She made it back to the top in the RCP average, is now in the lead by 1.1. Not much of a bounce, eh?

Over at that notorious (because I love it so much) USC Dornsife/LA Times poll, the lines went the wrong way again today, but Trump keeps his lead.

Trump -- Hillary 7/29:
46.6 -- 41.7

Trump -- Hillary 7/30:
46.1 -- 41.9

Hillary gains .2, Trump loses .5.

Such small numbers and the polls themselves might make history this year for being so far off, but I can't help obsessing a bit.

Yep. Back then hardly any ordinary Americans had passports to begin with, unlike today. Two of my brothers who served in Vietnam definitely did not start out with passports, and one of them still has never had one.

He did NOT SACRIFICE.

The trouble with these gents at FOX (Bret Baier being another) is that they ask Hillary a question, she lies, they challenge her, she lies, and they move on to the next question, being good journalists who like to keep the show moving. THIS IS WHAT HILLARY RELIES ON. She knows that she only has to repeat her lie twice and they'll give up and move on. It's a fucking formula.

Sorry, but I'm all het up from getting into a twitter war this Sunday morning over the "powerful, inspiring, poignant, truly heroic, sacrificing, truly American" Khizr Khan. Someone needs to straighten the guy out on the Constitution and the literal meaning of "sacrifice." I'd let it go, but it's turned into such a screaming meme-y and he's been shouting "What have you sacrificed?" at Trump so persistently that it's time to point out the difference between sacrifice and loss.

Because it continues to poll the same people, even if the people in the poll are a bit off, this poll should measure shifts with accuracy.

Most recent one shows a small D convention bump for Hillary and Trump still in the lead.

Other polls are more susceptible to manipulation.
