Note that no mention is given here of whether or not those moon travelers have a family history of heart disease or any other potential causes. Unless we are all completely wrong about the polls (a likely scenario), there is definitely a chance that the election turns out similar to 2000.

In which case it goes to Congress to vote. The House chooses the president and the Senate the veep. I don't know how Romney can legally fit into that. The standing majorities in both houses are GOP-controlled and it will be Trump and Pence.

Am I wrong about this?

When I was in boot camp we all had a few days at the pool for special instruction on how to disembark into the water and to verify we could swim to Navy standards.

Those who could not swim were sent to a special two week session and their boot camp extended to allow for it. .

Democrats hate voter ID. Recall that black woman up in MI(?) last election who was bragging to a reporter about voting 5 times. She could do that because they had no ID requirement and she just went from poll to poll voting under different names. Usually they do this using the names of dead people who have not been purged from the rolls (something that is supposed to be done via the Motor Voter Law).

But sometimes they don't even take the trouble to get dead people names. That is when someone else goes in to vote and finds that they have already voted.
Those voting districts in urban areas with heavy black majorities are rampant with vote fraud and the Democrats do not want that stopped, especially in those key tossup States because the margin of victory is usually within fraud range.

I have taught a lot of kids to swim, so please accept some unsolicited advice. Do not use floating devices like water wings. They give kids a false sense of security in the water and allows them to accidentally wind up in areas where they aren't safe. If she were to become dependent on those and then loses them or they deflate she will be in trouble.

Teach your baby how to float and how to tread water and she will be unafraid of the water and will be able keep herself safe. Then teach her doggy paddle, which will be more than adequate until she is ready to join the swim team.

84 Just asked the wife for memory refresh on swimming lessons. First the kids had very thin life vests. They learned to maneuver around in the water without fear and make rrudimentary motions with arms and legs. Then we had water wings. Then nothing.

This was in our backyard swimming pool. We weren't trying to teach them to swim in one day. They eventually became great swimmers. I can still picture the three of us swimming about a half mile offshore, with a bunch of dolphins all around us in Delaware.

As I recall (this was a freaking long time ago) they waited for the slack time between tides so the waves wouldn't disrupt the lesson. We loved it. Swimming was a grown up thing and it was a big deal to do something like that.

Hope you and your little girl have fun. If possible, have someone take pictures or video. It should be something to enjoy watching, especially as she gets older.

The linked article, which claims that this is a case of over-criminalization, misses an important point. Taking IN or OH bottles into MI for the deposit is theft. Why? Because people pay a 5 cent deposit in IN or OH, but MI residents pay 10 cents. So "recovering" a deposit in MI for an out of state bottle means that it is a theft of at least 5 cents from "government" (10 cents from MI) and possibly 10 total if it's a certain kind of bottle from another state. Multiply that by 10s of thousands and it starts being real money. So this lay is basically just saying that in MI, theft is illegal. Duh.

177 Re: the arm floaty things....i would suggest the vest-type floaters which don't merely lift the child at the arm pits. My daughter learned using the vest and loved the pool eventually going on to become a competitive swimmer in high school. But then of course my father's method of just throwing us all in the lake with nothing worked fine too.
