From the ONT, re: you can't bomb an ideology. Yes and no . . . and yes.

The example of Imperial Japan is correct, because the ideology and its adherents were all part on one nation-state in essentially one location.

Islam's adherents are spread out among virtually every nation on the planet. So, in order to bomb this ideology in particular will require a complete sea change in our attitudes and thinking.

1) Recognize that Islam is a violent, retrograde totalitarian force bent on world domination anywhere its adherents are.

2) Publicly proclaim this for all the world to hear and announce that Islam must reform (abandon sharia and jihad) or suffer the consequences.

3) Start a concerted bombing campaign to flatten areas where the most powerful militant strain of Islam exists, Syria and Libya for starters.

4) If the infection persists, make a list of the top 50 holy sites of Islam and flatten them one by one up to and including Mecca.

Obviously, sealing our damn borders, investigating and weeding out the infection that already exists and deporting/detaining those with the penchant for jihad is a given.

Will this happen? No. Just the Sefton foreign policy.

First, as some have postulated, this might not have been a coup but a false-flag loyalty test staged by Erdogan to weed out the last elements of the secularists. That doesn't negate your statement, but I've read elsewhere that even though Erdogan defeated this coup or phony coup, the impression is that he's weak and not in control.

In most internet browers you highlight the link, right-click on it, and select "open in new tab" on the pop-up menu. On some you have to copy the link, manually open a new tab, and then post the link in the address field of the new tab.

(More importantly, when is the IPO for the crap company that made this piece-of-crap application? Because I can't wait to watch CNBC so that I can see the market capitalization of a company increase by ten billion dollars because it reinvented email while changing essentially nothing about it.)

outside humidity is >95%.

Well that Mr Carrier invention we discussed up thread will take care of that. Besides, if it were just cooler summer weather I was looking for I would prefer moving to Wyoming. But wifey has already nixed that when I put in for it after I retired. Maybe I should have tried going back to Saratoga Springs, but it gets cold there too, but not as cold as Wyoming.

But also, some of the upstate NY Morons have said the liberals are taking over upstate now too.

This would usher in a return of the Papal States. This time it would include that defunct Scottish colony in Panama and an old Nazi hideout somewhere in South America.

When southern Europe collapses, the EU will in effect become the second Hanseatic League. Power and influence will shift from west to east as Germany, afraid of its Holocaust legacy, becomes irrelevant. As for France - forget about it.

The Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth will re-emerge and fulfill three vital functions: keeping Russia in check, preventing the spread of Islam in eastern Europe, and thwarting socialism within its own borders. (Yes - it will have borders.) The English-speaking world will become the world's second tier as the most advanced peoples will be speaking Polish and Lithuanian and Estonian and Hungarian and possibly Finnish.

Thusly, Western Civilization will be saved and another chapter in its great history will be written.

You have 48 hours to comply.

If you live in this effed up state be very careful who you live with. Living by yourself is safest.
