It looks like all of the "Black Lives Matter" agitation is finally paying dividends.
This may not go down well, but...
Black and Muslim communities need some serious introspection. Just recently, I listened to a debate where Muslims in the debate took the position that terrorist violence committed by Muslims was a problem with an origin outside of the Islamic community and would only be solved through addressing the grievances of Muslims - IOW submission to Islam. This is obviously a generalization, but the same essence of the problem exists in the black community in that problems within the black community can only be addressed by GIVING more opportunity to blacks instead of blacks, as a community, addressing the problems that are endemic to the black community and which should and probably could be most effectively handled by and within the black community. Obama, having thrown gas at the base of the smoldering fire for eight years, has certainly not helped and he deserves massive credit for the state of race relations in this country. Somehow though, I see him and his legacy profiting, yet again, from this tragedy of his own making.
This was very superficially thought out, but that captures the essence of how I believe.

That whole paradigm is dead.
Over the past several decades, the idea of civil servants has shifted from civil servants to civil masters. Very generally again, and I know this to be true from experience, police don't even reference the law when making you comply with their wishes. If they want you to do something, they order you to do it. The same thing exists across government. If a government agency wants you to do something, they just order you to do it and if the order is wrong, you have to sue, at massive cost, to get their order reversed.
This is bullshit and not what this country was based on and it needs to be addressed. Instead, because the problem is what it is, not only those in government, but those outside of government will look for a solution that involves giving government more powers. Exactly the opposite of what needs to happen.

I was amazed to see how many there are (Over 600 this year so far). And yes, from what I saw, whites are killed in much greater numbers than other ethnicities..
The stats I saw in an article yesterday said 506 were killed so far this year by police.
1/4 were black.
Of those, about 12 were 'unarmed' (noting again that 'unarmed' does not mean 'harmless').

Because "our" government will eventually be using it against you or yours.
I believe this was one of the underpinnings of the 2A. The idea was to ensure some sort of parity between Citizens and government.
When the government grossly overpowers the populace, they no longer fear them. When government no longer fears the populace, we get what we have.
And that leads to the Dark Side.

Quick, pulled-out-of-my-ass analysis: it depends on framing.
Ordinary citizens (of which, it seems, there are fewer and fewer these days) do not want open violence. They want peace, safety and order. As the MFM and the Dallas PD appear to be closing ranks to hide the identity of the shooters, this helps the Democrats, because rather than being able to pin the violence on BLM thugs or ISIS wannabes or even garden-variety assholes, the impression is that of amorphous, random violence which - just so conveniently - is taking place while Donald Trump is running for president.
The question that will be pushed, by implication, is "do you want four years of this?"
How that is answered - and by whom - will decide the election, IMO.

A few people that were there talked about the people during the march taunting cops and shouting "fuck the police", but the man on the street interviewers kept cutting them off and repeating the narrative.

This is why conservatives, American patriots, need to stop sucking up to big corporations. I know capitalism is the best system economically, but you don't just sit back and allow billion dollar plus international companies use their platforms and resources to destroy our freedoms.
Our freedoms and country should be more important than these companies. It is more important than money. Our founding fathers put their property, and lives, on the line for liberty and the future nation.
All those so called conservatives who visited facebook HQ should be ashamed of themselves. They are like Jimmy Carter visiting North Korea and getting the tour. Then they come back an tell us all how wonderful Facebook is the same way Jimmy came back and said North Korea is great.
