Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | Loretta Lynch: To Protect the Integrity of the Department of Justice, I Vow to Listen to the FBI's Recommendation on Hillary Clinton Before Clearing My Tarmac-Buddy's Wife of All ChargesEarlier she intimated that she might take herself out of the loop and defer to her career prosecutors and the FBI; now she says only that she "expects" to follow their recommendations, and will definitely "accept" those recommendations. Note that "accept" has two meanings: 1, to take possession of, as of a parcel or mail delivery. 2, to take as one's own position. I think it's deliberate that Lynch has chosen a word to suggest she means meaning 2 -- to appease a roiled nation -- when in fact she intends only meaning 1. She'll take the recomendations in hand. If the recommendation is for no indictment, she'll agree to not indict Clinton. If the recommendation is for an indictment, she'll merely "accept" that recommendation (take possession of it), then not indict Clinton. She wants people to think she's taking herself out of the loop -- but in fact she's doing no such thing. Another liar orbiting around the Clinton gas giant of corruption and lies. By the way, Bill Clinton took a lot of very purposeful action to make this meeting happen. Anyone buying he did all this just to talk about golf and grandchildren?

I don't get it. I really don't get why it is that people are so willing to go out on the limb for the Clintons.
Well, okay, I get it now that they have grifted their way into vast wealth. But in the 90's? I have never understood it. That's why Lynch met with Bill. Hillary is meeting with the FBI tomorrow. Those interviews aren't scheduled in a matter of days. Its probably been scheduled for a while now. Now -- my cynical nature thinks that Lynch was telling Bill what exactly the FBI interviewers have on Hillary, so that she can prepare for the interview. Another thought -- perhaps she had to meet with Bill personally in order to pass him hard copy documents. Explains why a telephone call would not be sufficient. But pure speculation as of now. Interesting point by Rush. Although we can rightly assume the Democrats will do nothing except circle the wagons, Obama has engaged in all sorts of illegal maneuvers for the past 7.5 years EXCEPT to quash this investigation - something he could have done a long time ago. I think you're reading too much into it. Lynch is backtracking from this morning's NYT story to instead say that she's keeping a modicum of authority over the decision. She has to keep this authority as the ultimate head prosecutor. This is too important case to let an underling be the final signatory.
If Lynch actually exercised this authority to overrule a recommendation to pursue charges, it'll all go nuclear. Posted by: Ignoramus at July 01, 2016 03:42 PM (r1fLd) 65

I think a lot of things happen by accident in this administration because planning according to real reality is not done as much as planning according to pre-determined reality is done. Odd that there were plenty of FBI agents around to shoo away reporters, but none thought to warn Lynch or Clinton that meeting was a baaaad idea. Or did they? Was Lynch really so star-struck, stupid and venal as to just agree to the meeting despite FBI objections and the inevitable 'bad optics' -- or was it an impromptu sting op, trying to catch bad boy Billy with his pants down? (Figuratively kids, figuratively. Eeew!) Even if all they did was 'talk about his grandchildren', isn't that a poorly disguised plea to go lightly on Chelsea in the coming doom? She did use a pseudonym (Diane Reynolds) to talk to Mom Secretary about foundation business, and her husband did try (and failed spectacularly) to enrich himself on her failed Greece bailout. So -- just connecting dots. So many dots.

So many dots. . . . .What is odd is why was the FBI there in the first place? They had absolutely no reason for being there unless Lynch brought them to shoo people away from the meeting she knew was going to happen and thought would be a secret. Posted by: iforgot at July 01, 2016 03:55 PM (pC96u) ----------------------- But what were they doing there at all? And shooing away reporters? Sound like they were trying to keep the meeting under wraps. But it's unlikely they would do that unless 1) Lynch told them to, which is abuse of office or 2) They had the plane wired and were recording everything, with Lynch's blessing, which is her job. Look no matter what they do now the FBI, the same FBI who reports to Lynch also, is going to look bad. That's especially true if they don't indict due to the pretty substantial body of case law which demands they should. Mbut I think the fix was in all along and the FBI was not going to indict based on some nonsensical bullshit. But now it really looks bad for them. They were on the Tarmac with their boss and Clinton. Why demand no video, pictures or cell phones? Because they were part of the meeting, that's why. Because it the delicious items such as eggs, cheese, and ham are "packaged" in a bread container made expressly for one to handle without utensils. Therefore, a hot dog is a sandwich. Some yammering has suggested the ole Billy did this on purpose, to torpedo his lovely wife. In the Clinton bizarro world, this would not surprise me. He may not want to be First Husband and have his power diminished.
It was probably baked in the cake prior to his plane invasion...but optics are even poorer due to the event. Very glad the Arizona reporter recorded the meeting. Here's hoping the FBI does their job. Anyone who can read, and I realize this skill is low among low information voters, can read her emails themselves (from Sid or otherwise) and see she did email confidential information. There she is, the probable next president of the United States. If the GOP wanted to they could have may hay with her corruption, but instead many party elders are signalling a preference for her over their own party's presumptive nominee. Comey is already telegraphing how angry he will be if no indictment is forthcoming, just to save a little credibility for his agency. The campaign ads have begun, the money is rolling in, the people (30%) are emotionally invested in her, Wall Street is banking on her.... Nothing happens. The DOJ has a fleet of Gulfstream IVs and the AG has first dibs on them when she wants one. Holder got criticized for using one to haul his family around in, but as usual nothing ever came of it. Posted by: GnuBreed at July 01, 2016 04:47 PM (gyKtp) 335
That's why I still respect Rush even though he's not
what he used to be. He should WANT Hillary to win. Then he has his show prep for the next 4 or 8 years. And more ad revenue. Posted by: JoeF. at July 01, 2016 04:44 PM (XZcuX) They said Rush wouldn't have much to talk about when Bush was elected, I don't think he missed a beat. Will Russia release their email bombs soon?
Imagine having a president with this much potential blackmailing over them? As well as giving national security to the enemy all tied with a bow. _______________________ That's the thing, isn't it. Hillary was so worried about gov't watchdog groups using FOIA requests to get her SOS e-mails that she set up her own server. But her server was so insecure that everybody and his dimwitted brother was able to hack into it. So now the Chinese, Russians, and everybody except the U.S. public have copies of the e-mails showing how Hillary was passing inside information to her husband and son-in-law and Sid Blumenthal and who knows who else, while large cash "donations" from the people benefitting from that inside information were simultaneously showing up in the Clinton Crime Family Foundation coffers. How many minutes after Hillary takes the presidential oath will the first blackmail demand be delivered to the White House? This is insane. I don't think I have ever seen Lynch from the waist down, of which I have been grateful.
Her sausage legs tell me congestive heart failure and/or kidney function impairment. Maybe she is slowly being poisoned and Bill gave her his home made lemonaid (that he gives Hilz). Her legs are way beyond cankles. In the Aspen interview her jacket was beyond closing unless someone put her in a whale-bone corset and Gorilla glued it shut, after applying duct tape to various lumps. She looks puffy on all extremities, and not fat puffy. Either Bill forced his way onto the plane or she was a willing *cough* participant and they hoped no one would know. Guess they should have met at Area 51. Talking grandchildren my fat arse. Loretta does not have grandchildren, at least by her only marriage of 2007. Also, she was appointed to NY US Attorney by the one and only Peyronie's Clinton in 1999. I read a great punishment for the Clintons: put 'em both in same cell for the rest of their lives. ha. I like how the anonymous security guy quoted in the Observer article denies allegations that Lynch accommodated Bill Clinton's request to meet.
Uh, dude . . . or dudette . . . Lynch has already admitted (because she had to) that she met with Clinton for 30 minutes. So obviously she accommodated his request. Posted by: TrivialPursuer at July 01, 2016 05:12 PM (NnYnv) 342
>>>>What is odd is why was the FBI there in the first place? They had
absolutely no reason for being there unless Lynch brought them to shoo people away from the meeting she knew was going to happen and thought would be a secret. How many secret meetings have Clinton and Lynch had?

What was Bill Clinton doing in Phoenix? The first story was that he was here to play golf, but it was 109 degrees here on Monday, so that story seems . . . implausible . . . to say the least.
So did Clinton fly to Phoenix for the sole purpose of trying to intercept Lynch on the tarmac? If so, that seems pretty desperate on his part. It will be interesting to see if anybody is able to ferret out any further information about this curious meeting in the coming days. Posted by: TrivialPursuer at July 01, 2016 06:11 PM (NnYnv) 346

The corruption of our institutions by democrat party members is patently obvious. Hillary will NEVER be indicted. I wonder if this is what Soviet citizens witnessed during the cold war? Patent corruption and no ability to do anything about it. Thank you Republicans for your cooperation with your collegiate comrades, the Democrat party.

I drive for a living in Scottsdale/Phoenix metro area and pass most of the posh golf courses. The tees were empty on Wednesday as temps stayed around 110 and humid (a rarity) after several days of brief rain.
In a related bit of coincidence, accuweather has dropped its reported temperature on that day to 106 - this despite stories of climate change hype on Wednesday (pre-meeting) claiming temp records were "shattered" around the state. Posted by: Smittyz at July 01, 2016 08:00 PM (g9d8D) 351
Here's a question I haven't heard asked: Has BJC ever met Loretta before? I mean if they were weekly card game buddies I could understand. If he'd never had a one on one with her before I think that would be extra fishlike even for the LIV.

Loretta Lynch was the easiest BJ I ever got. Cost me a few million in Clinton Cash to get Hillary off the hook, but still, the easiest BJ I ever got.

Re: the FBI forbidding photos of the secret meeting; that's incriminating on it's face and imperial. But the more salient point is that Bubba is himself under investigation because of the bribery and money laundering at the Foundation.
"Allegedly". Clearly Lynch asked the judge to bury the Clinton e-mails for several years after meeting with Bill. And she could have long ago said she will accept the FBI's recommendations. She's only saying it now under duress. And I take Ace's point about the semantics. After all, word games are a Clinton specialty. But she could also empanel a nullification grand jury in DC. Or pretend Hillary's ten thousand felonies are like Petraus' and punt with a single misdemeanor. And failing all that, Dems still have Bernie Sandanista, Pocahantas of the Tenure Tribe, America's Creepy Uncle Joe, etc. Posted by: The Gipper Lives at July 01, 2016 10:05 PM (Ndje9) 355
Odds Lynch knew Comey would NOT recommend prosecution before she made this statement: 100%
