What some people may not remember or realize is that Trump had actually run for president before. And gone nowhere. Reform Party, if you want to look it up.
What has changed since then? All the different trade deals cost the economy millions of jobs. Illegal immigration has effected communities all over the country. Islamic terrorism is becoming entrenched. Overdose deaths due to Mexican heroin are skyrocketing. It's not Trump because of name recognition. He had it back then. In "We have to pass the bill to know what's in it" news, your GOP sneaked this into the defense bill they passed: The Senate version of the vast military policy bill that now heads to conference with the House would knock out one of the advantages veterans enjoy when they apply for federal work. They would continue to get a leg up over non-veterans to get a foot in the door. But once theyre in government and want to be considered for another federal post, they would no longer go to the head of the hiring queue. https://tinyurl.com/jqpkwzn Dear Vets, thank you somewhat for your service. So, I get an email from a local car dealer that says:
"Let us help you to turn your positive equity into a much needed vacation for you and your family. We will buy your trade at top dollar and get you the vehicle of your choice at the same, if not LOWER, monthly payments. There will be no announcement to the general public." I owe nothing on my current car. If I take it in and get "top dollar" for it as a trade, and since I pay zero dollars for it now, does that mean I get a new car for no cost? In another grandma's house, we had to check all the books and furniture (tables with removable tops) there was cash tucked everywhere. A survivor of the Depression. Mrs. Krebs had an uncle who inherited the family home and left cash all over the place in the form of weekly withdrawal envelopes from his bank, to which we surmise he went regularly just to speak to someone. He wasn't socially isolated but was in fact a very gregarious guy. He was one of only a handful of adults by whom I tolerated being called by my diminutive name, Krebsy, with the two most prominent others being my parents (especially my Dad). Observation based on personal opinion:
If, as it seems they are trying one way or another to do, they succeed in nominating someone other than Trump, it will effectively abrogate democracy. Yeah, I know it sounds drastic and possibly hyperbolic, but the will of the people was made clear in all of the primaries and against a large field of challengers. If this isn't a declaration of "sure, make your choice. If we don't like it, we'll fix it," what is it? I shouldn't have to make this caveat, but - I was a Cruz supporter, not a Trump supporter. But Trump won. Clinton (apparently) won. If Clinton were to be indicted, it would probably be understandable for the Dems to replace her in that case, but all indications are that they probably wouldn't. Trump, would be being replaced based on what he has said that turns some segment of the party off. That would be like unelecting Nancy Pelosi because she says stupid shit - which she does - daily. It would also be a kinda huge precedent. Posted by: Mr Macca Bean at June 19, 2016 08:48 AM (4ng05) 215

And if you want some great Mexican comfort food, then head over to downtown Parker and try Las Delicias. The best dish on their menu is Tacos de Carnitas.

If you don't mind getting closer to downtown Denver, there's the Buckhorn Exchange, Colorado's oldest restaurant. It's a steakhouse that also serves bison and various game dishes.
If you'd rather not drive into the metropolis, you can take a light rail from the Lincoln Station in Lone Tree, get off at the 10th and Osage Station, and it's right there. It's just outside of the heart of lower downtown. Here's their website... http://buckhorn.com/ Alternately, if you'd rather drive yourself, and avoid the city traffic, The Fort is another good option. It's also a "historically important" restaurant, housed in a 1960 reconstruction of a trappers' fort from the state's territorial days. They specialize in game dishes. They're located in Morrison, which is a bit of a drive from Centennial, but at least you could avoid a lot of city traffic on the way there. Here's their website... http://thefort.com/ Posted by: Prothonotary Warbler... Ask not for whom The Donald Trumps. at June 19, 2016 11:35 AM (0OG8D) 251
A brilliant, scholarly, complicated, world-class economist who is also a deadbeat dad?
Must have been either a democrat, a drunk, or a Marxist. Posted by: Fritz at June 19, 2016 11:37 AM (f40FU) 252
Thesis:
If there was something out there that would undeniably show the puerile, shallow, Gestapo-like elements of the Progressive wing of the Democratic Party; the Party in all its Millennial-fascistic glory; something that would discredit the Party; and if this something was unavoidable in its disclosure and ability to not cover--then in that case, Hillary Clinton would be the best president to have this public unfolding of the story take place. For it would turn the Democrat's seemingly final victory into a shattering defeat for all time, and put to an end the leftist control and manipulation of media--or at least make it harder to do so. I say this not as a vote for Ms. Clinton--I will be in despair as all will--but as a indication that there are chess players, and then there are chess players. Here's an en passant hiya, RickL at 206. By the time I recheck the morning threads for replies, there's little hope my re-replies ever get seen. But I like to go on record as closing my parentheses.
