7 Been listening to the latest podcast from Ace, something I haven't done in a while. It is worth the time required, if only we had "real" politicians that had as much sense as Ace and Ginch.

    8 From the sidebar...

Apparently, some libertarian website has an issue with Gary Johnson (the libertarian presidential candidate) promoting the Fair Tax Plan.

Unfortunately, the person who wrote the article that is linked has never read the Fair Tax Plan and has no idea what it is.

Hopefully, Trump will eventually find his way there and adopt it as his own to bring the libertarian vote to his side.

And in many ways, is this not the story of Obama and the Constitution as well?

    32 Good morning, pretty Hordelings.

Last week at this time I was camped at the base of Mt. Monadnock in NH, preparing to climb it with No. 1 Son. It was all very family because we were going to visit the spot where I scattered my father's ashes almost 20 years ago.

I remembered it as walking up a hill and walking back down, but climbing Monadnock was brutal. I didn't recognize the route and it was oodles harder than I remembered. I know I'm not in the shape I was but I didn't know it was that bad.

So last night I called Mommy and told her what we'd done. She said, "which Monadnock?". And it turns out there is a Little Monadnock which is in fact where I scattered Daddy.

    1600 feet vs. 3165.

Not to dispute your math, but I did the math a couple years ago when I was making home made ice cream. The ice cream recipe called for x amount of cream and x amount of milk. Which, iirc, equalled 18% cream.

I then calculated the cream content in half and half and came up with almost the exact same percentage. After that, I'd simply buy half and half to make ice cream. It was cheaper than 'heavy cream'.

We never missed a Zorro show until they took it off the air in the middle of the second season. Big contract dispute between old Walt and ABC TV. Walt claimed he owned Zorro and ABC said they owned it. It was a very popular show. I have both seasons now on a DVD package.

IIANM they replaced it with The Swamp Fox. Also somewhere in that was a show about some masked guy in England who was righting wrongs etc.

Makes you wonder why they deliver milk at 2am.

There is an opportunity for someone with a worthless degree or a GED and some drive...

Make a deal with a local dairy to package their milk, cream, butter and ice cream in your "premium, all natural, farm to table" containers and dress up in the traditional white uniform for home delivery.

You can charge a fat markup going straight retail to the Carriage Trade. It's a status symbol to have the dairy truck pull into the driveway, which basically says "I could feed my family that store bought shit, but I care".
