Obama: No Matter How Modest Your Accomplishments, It's All Pure Luck and You Didn't Build That or Do That

This claim from a narcissist so pathological he's actually demonical.

MRC has a good recap of Obama's relentless denigration of achievement -- at least, of achievements not his own.

35 Dear Mr Obama: we also haven't been the beneficiaries of a regime that routinely told us 'here, have this, it's not your fault, here have a few more kids and we'll pay for them too', we've been held to the expectation that we needed to make some money first then pop some kids out, and no one was going to support them if we didn't.

We've spent our adolescent and adult lives largely avoiding certain members of certain groups because we just wanted to get on with our lives and we knew that in any involvement with those groups that went bad they would get the benefit of the government/media doubt and we'd pay for it.

So, Mr Obama, when those who you pimp for wish to engage the rest of us on an even basis, that's fine, but not until.

41 Sorry for going off topic so soon but I find the sidebar item regarding the 4th circuit ruling with regards to the NC bathroom law, where it finds that the federal goverment has the right to define discrimination as it sees fit to be just about the most frightening legal opinions imaginable.

If this becomes the legal standard, and of course it will, then the entire federal statute becomes essentially an enabling act.

Dangerous times ahead.

As a side note to all of this, the bergfell decision essentially said no one can define marriage except the Judicial branch.

So look for the courts to take control of bathrooms and gender as well.

No one better than anyone else. If someone does worse, then someone else kept them down. If someone does better, then they're the ones keeping the loser down.

There's actually a tinge of truth in his statement but you have to dig thru a lot of crap to get there. Yes, you have been blessed by God. But that is not 'luck'. That's a blessing. Luck is not a blessing And yes, I also agree that you can lose the attitude. Humility in seeing how blessed you are to live in America and to be able to get a college education, that's a good thing.

Lucky? No. Hard work, perserverance and the grace of God. Obama - educate yourself as to why Christians do not cite "luck" as the reason their life is as it is. Or did Rev. Wright not go over that?

62 Obama's comment was at the graduation at Howard, an historically Black college. So it had a particular angle -- to tell successful Blacks that they're just lucky and owe something to Blacks who aren't. To my ears this goes beyond the virtue of charity to a demand for racial solidarity.

81 Of course. Success is nothing but luck and/ or being born as the correct race/ sex/ other demographic. No one earned success. It was stolen from others and thus, the rewards of success are simply a measure of what you owe to others.

Failure and poverty are nothing more than bad luck and/ or racism/ sexism/ other unfair and unjust ways that you are brought down. Failure has nothing to do with making the wrong decisions. It has nothing to do with trying your best but someone out there simply being better. There is no such thing as failure, only repression and barriers in the way of what you are entitled to.

Becoming a drug dealer or committing crimes is not a choice. It is not the result of your own moral or ethical failing. People commit crimes for one reason- others stand in the way and refuse to give them what they are entitled to. Other people have what they want and no one gave it to them.

Yes, you can have gum. So long as you brought enough for the rest of the class. If you did not bring enough, you need to check your privilege you horrible hate monger!

Everyone is entitled to be whatever they want! Male, female or neither! Everyone is entitled to be rich... unless you have one penny more than the person next to you, then your are a hateful, greedy thief.

180 Wretchard at the Belmont Club wrote an essay on his blog the other day; is Obama incompetent or evil?

He makes a good point that Obama and people like him are incompetent. They are too stupid to truly understand evil. There is nothing about him that smacks of competence. He has achieved nothing, created nothing, written nothing ( oh yeah, two AUTOBIOGRAPHIES. It's all about...ME!). Things are a mess here and abroad, and frankly, Obama is so self-unaware, he really doesn't realize how much he has screwed up. The Media Narrative is the same. They are incompetent. The latest Ben Rhodes silliness is almost a QED proof of that.

People that are evil and have energy actually do things that are aggressively evil. Obama does nothing. He just wanders about, uttering things that have no connection to reality.

And yet, there is a fundamental evil with incompetence. Too stupid or dense to know right from wrong, and can't be reasoned with. Stupidity and incompetence have an evil quality of their own, with their roots in stupid un-self-awareness.

You know, maybe this is an expression of cognitive dissonance. Maybe he deep down understands, he is at best mediocre, that he really isn't all the special as far as ability, and feels he doesn't deserve what he has, so he is projecting the injustice of his own success as a universal injustice to inwardly assuage his own guilt of having so much. Also why he is constantly overstating his own achievements, in order to keep people away from the truth he knows deep down that he shouldn't be here. He's insecure. It all fits.

210 This weekend, my eldest son graduated from college. The commencement speaker was the daughter of the founder of Donato's Pizze, Jane Grote Abell.

Jane is also quite an attractive woman, too. She was on an episode of "Undercover Boss" on the TV.

But she talked about what it took for her father to build up the business, how all the kids worked at it growing up. And about 25 years ago, McDonald's bought the company for a hefty piece of change, after a lot of soul-searching about selling the family business. About 8 years later, McDonald's was in a downturn, and was going to close the chain, and put all the employees out of work.
Jane and her father decided to buy the business back, which they did (took a lot of money and courage to take that risk). Today, the chain is bigger and better than ever.
Jane talked about what it took to be successful, and that her father founded the business on the principle of the Golden Rule; to treat others as you would be treated. Which is how they treat their customers and employees, too.
And courage. She talked about how she had started to become afraid, working for the big McDonald's corporation, and how she knew that she was losing her courage to do the right thing. They turned that around when they bought the company back and the Grote family started running the pizza chain again.

I'm glad I heard her speech, instead of the meandering mumbles of a man who is incompetent and afraid of his own shadow. What a bumbling boor of a person. Is his time up yet?

There's actually a tinge of truth in his statement but you have to dig thru a lot of crap to get there. Yes, you have been blessed by God. But that is not 'luck'. That's a blessing. Luck is not a blessing And yes, I also agree that you can lose the attitude. Humility in seeing how blessed you are to live in America and to be able to get a college education, that's a good thing.

Lucky? No. Hard work, perserverance and the grace of God. Obama - educate yourself as to why Christians do not cite "luck" as the reason their life is as it is. Or did Rev. Wright not go over that?
