Err... that's exactly *why* a teacher would call on the boys and not the girls. The teacher needs to get the boys in class to engage so their grades improve. If you know the girls are paying attention, then you don't call on them.
It's not about the right answer (eventually it is, but not initially), it's about classroom engagement.

As for the "the teacher never called on me" drivel... I call complete BS. Let's assume the girls really were getting the best grades - as mentioned, the teacher would want to call on the boys first to get them engaged in class.
But you know what someone really means when they say "never" or "always?" They mean "all the times that are convenient to my argument."
I see this with my six year old when she complains that her brother "never" plays with her, or that she "always" has to do something or other. The difference is that my daughter is 6 (and is actually more believable than Michelle).
That this wasn't met with round ridicule says so much about how pathetic our culture has become.

I don't find it odd at all. Advocating for MS research would largely be a volunteer effort. Why do that when you use the force of government from an unelected post to force your view of nutrition down the throats of all the nation's children?
For her, it seems that most of live filters through politics and government, and if she's not using government then she can't be doing good.
It's a twisted view of how to interact with people and institute change, but it seems to be a common viewpoint on the left.

All the time. He's always golfing with the guys while Michelle is doing stuff with the girls. Barack spends his birthday w/his high school and college friends at Camp David, and his birthday "gift" to Michelle is typically a vacation (away from him).
Just like with the Clintons, I will be happy when they take their dysfunction out of the WH, out of the public eye and deal with it (or don't; whatever).

The struggle is to get boys engaged and interested, not girls. By pushing boys away and focusing on girls, all you do is make boys even less part of education. Which maybe is the point: to create a subclass of worker drones while women polish their nails and have dumb boys wave fans over them when not having rocks thrown at them.
