6 Good morning Morons!

Again we have no changes in the national polling arena. Presumptive nominee (according to many) Donald Trump is still losing to Hillary Clinton by 11.2%.

The Democrats remain on track to pick up at least 4 seats in the Senate and 12 seats in the House.

The only new poll to enter the scene yesterday was the MU Law poll of Wisconsin with Cruz taking a 10 point lead on Trump in the primary.

18 What a dead morning dump.Geesh.

19 In the sidebar: >>>Embarrassing. Ignorant, crude, dumb, and utterly embarrassing. Try cracking a single book once, Wharton Graduate. Whatever. Those who can get it, have already gotten it; those who haven't gotten it yet, never will.

=====

The people who say, "Trump supporters don't get it," are the ones, themselves, who don't get it.

Trump may say one thing on one day, and on the next day, say something completely opposite... His position on any issue may be as weak as wet tissue paper.

Trump supporters will say, "So what?"

To which, the anti-Trumpets say, "you just don't get it."

Well, I'm here to tell you, it's not ABOUT Trump.

That's what THEY "don't get"

Trump is not a politician... That his story changes day by day is PROOF of that.

There is no way you can accuse Trump of being "establishment" when you see and hear with your own eyes and ears, the "Establishment" is doing EVERYTHING IN THEIR POWER to stop him.

The "Establishment" is TERRIFIED of Trump.

Trump's supporters are REVELING in their fear.

The "Establishment" DESERVES to be in fear... They brought this all on by themselves.

When the "Establishment" turns to Cruz, (like Jeb) the message comes through, loud and clear to Trump's supporters, CRUZ IS NOW IN CAHOOTS with the "Establishment." And the proof of that is, if you listen closely, Cruz looks and sounds more like an "Establishment" politician every day... The finagling around with delegates is more proof.

If a candidate is "acceptable" to the "Establishment," he is entirely unacceptable to Trump's supporters.

One way, or another, the "Establishment" in general, and the GOP in particular, are going to be punished for their utter cowardice of the Democrats.. We send these people to Washington to STOP the progressive agenda.. Not to go along with it.

The GOP has lost every last bit of respect of their own constituency.

Ace, himself, has said many times: "I'm done with the Republicans."

Well, Trump's supporters agree with Ace.

Now, thanks to the "Establishment" you get Trump... Or, you get nothing.

Now, do you "get it?"

It's disgusting that if this case gos forward, FL will pay to fly her back and put her up in a hotel at taxpayer's expense.

23 RE DC ballot and commie Sanders:

Presidential candidate Bernie Sanders' name is not on the primary ballot in Washington, D.C., after the D.C. Democratic Party submitted registration paperwork a day late and a voter filed a challenge, News4 has learned.

The title is misleading. There is no "maybe" about it. That is unless DC want to pull a NJ and illegaly stick him on there. And given the fact that the DNC is probably behind this "mistake" I doubt if that is going to happen.

Last year Trump grabbed the keys and sped off in the car.

I just don't see why it's a good reason for me to switch my support to the big government loving Democrat who contemplates issues for the very first time when asked questions on the campaign trail then is spinning an hour later saying he didn't say what he just said damn near everyday.

Nominating Trump will certainly disrupt the GOP system, but it's increasingly likely that doing so will deliver the otherwise unelectable Hillary Clinton a landslide/mandate. I know Cruz isn't getting the nomination, I'm just not convinced fucking up the GOP's system with Trump will ultimately lead to disrupting the system as a whole, but would actually reinforce it.

108 "Going by "the book" a Hyundai Alternator is a 3 hour job.... in real life it takes about 27 minutes."

Sometimes it works out that way, sometimes it doesn't.

Good mechanics tend to like working flat-rate ("by the book") because they can usually get the job done sooner. Bad mechanics tend to like working by the hour, because that way they get paid no matter how long they stand around scratching their heads with their thumbs up their asses.

Years ago I had a friend who figured out a way to replace the timing chain on a engine in ten minutes when the book called for a major engine teardown and many hours of labor. I've forgotten which engine (long, long time ago) but this was at a dealership and this particular engine was notorious for snapping the chain. They saw a lot of them.

His trick required three guys (two fiddling with the chain, one bumping the starter slowly), so they'd just split the take from the job three ways.

Whether you consider that a ripoff or not depends on whether you'd rather have a smart guy like my friend working on your car and getting the job done, or whether you'd rather have a dumb guy taking your engine all the way apart.

165 Nominating Trump will certainly disrupt the GOP system, but it's increasingly likely that doing so will deliver the otherwise unelectable Hillary Clinton a landslide/mandate. I know Cruz isn't getting the nomination, I'm just not convinced fucking up the GOP's system with Trump will ultimately lead to disrupting the system as a whole, but would actually reinforce it.
Posted by: mugiwara at March 31, 2016 08:52 AM (D5hxK)

Yes, that's valid.

But I doubt that either Trump or Cruz will get the nomination. Someone is going to be installed.

In that event, people who hate trump and his supporters will blame both if the GOP crashes and burns in the general. The thought being that they revolted, ran 3rd party, or stayed home.

Will they blame Cruz supporters?

Will they blame those who are rooting for neither but are aghast at the GOP taking their primary piracy to the national level?

Because all three groups do exist, and their actions in the coming months should be calculated into this.

194 I don't think your typical but good air rifle would take out a bull turkey. Might piss him off pretty well though. "Bill Clinton Hunting Club" no one hunts turkey with a rifle. Air-powered shotguns are hard to do, but it's been tried. A square hit from a real hunting airgun, like a Quackenbush, would do it if you could git 'im. Of course a square hit from a Q will also drop a bison.

For those who don't do this, the "correct" hit on a turkey is the neck, and you do that with one of them new-fangled high-powered magnum shotguns. Now, part of that is to avoid shot in Thanksgiving dinner, but, big bird, not easy to kill.

Well, there's that. But Greece had been doing some half-assed austerity before the EU made this bizarre decision to ease its entry laws to allow "refugees". The problem was that they either had to kick Greece out of the EU, or Germany had to pull out. Short of that, they couldn't force the long term changes needed to correct all that's wrong with Greece.

Then of course the flood began after the EU decision, and Greece was a natural landing point. The willful ignorance of our betters on one nation after another erecting border controls is horrifying. We're STILL being bombarded with the race card after all of this.

248 @222 This is why I mentioned the air shotgun. I am indeed sensitive to your concerns, but I counsel against going up against Big Turkey with a popgun. You don't want to see one of those sonsabitches angry. See Farmers Insurance ad.

I did an all-day seminar with a state-champion turkey hunter once (had to qualify to teach the special turkey-safety course), and he said that once you see them work a field [there's nothing left] you realize how close to the top of the food chain they are. And, if they had a sense of smell, we'd be extinct now. He had a high degree of respect for his prey.

Turkey hunting is very dangerous, I s'pose you know -- because the turkeys fool the hunters into shooting each other...

259 Trump's not wrong in his initial statement, but he stepped on a mine (or pulled a pin on a grenade) on a majorly touchy social issue he normally stayed away from. In this society, the right to an abortion is the pinnacle of feminine/feminist power - the ability to murder your child (over a father's objection) for practically any reason under the sun (and not just medical rationales).

We don't consider abortion want it is - homicide that in some narrow
circumstances may be legally "justified" i.e. for medical necessity.
Under law, now, woman can get an abortion for pretty much any reason. So Trump's basic, poorly vocalized thought is: if you are going to make abortion illegal (which conservatives apparently support), then you have to punish people that obtain them (D.U.H. Analysis!). So, that means the doctor performing the abortion, the woman obtaining it, and anyone paying for it (aiding abetting). That's just logical, rational common sense procedure for law enforcement. See Pennsylvania's Crimes Against the Unborn Act, that punishes ANYONE ELSE for doing what the mother does (like a punch to the womb from a guy on the street), but exempts the mother and a doctor for the same action (equal protection violation, or it that only for gays and marriage licenses)? You can't be a moral crusader that sees abortion as murder, but then say, "nah, that's alright Miss, no charges for murder, go about your business".

So if you decide to "ban abortions" but have no enforcement mechanism against the guilty parties, then the ban is one in name only, and might as well not exist. And you can't say the woman is not a "guilty party" or else the whole law collapses.

This reminds me of illegal immigration. We used to punish the illegal immigrant (to encourage LEGAL immigration), then we decided to really only punish the businesses that hire them, and now we don't punish either and we have ever-increasing illegal immigration, all in violation of EXISTING LAW. So, obviously here comes the push to eliminate said law. See a pattern?

And "Jethro" made a deal to get him parole in 40. I said as it unreeled that he should get somebody to re-open the file, but that doesn't happen on Big Network. Because on Big Network, military always bad and wrong, just a question of at what level, and our gang of variously-but-appropriately-bent H'wd darlins are there to ride herd on them.

The Left has been Anti-Semitic for decades upon decades, but, for some unfathomable reason, the Jews cling to the Left like it controls the Ark of the Covenant. Same thing with Black Americans, the Left holds them in contempt as weak, requires them to wallow in their victimhood, takes their votes for granted, and yet, somehow, the Left is on their side. Creators should have nothing to do with Islamic fashion. Designers

thing by which we hide women and make them live a hidden life. These creators who are taking part in the enslavement of women should ask themselves some questions.

For years we mocked the Giant Economy Size, as something that reflected poorly on 'Murka. Now that we no longer have a Giant Economy, stocking the old bunker involves buying a lot more boxes.

I am constantly comparing prices, and one thing I've noticed lately, in addition to the 'same size container/less product inside' trend is that stores are now charging more per unit for an economy-size package. So, the price per ounce may well be cheaper for a 12-oz jar of peanut-butter than the 36 oz jar. Think they do this because we've been so conditioned to expect larger pkg = cheaper overall.

I was grocery shopping about 18 months ago and a woman in the line next to me handed the teller some form of a food stamps card. For some reason this chain does not take that as payment and it says so on the doors as you enter. I left as she was still screaming at the checkout lady. Same thing in parts of Kentucky and West Virginia. Because there are no jobs, there are doctors with billboards who guarantee to get you a disability check and SSI judges go rubber stamp all claims. It must really suck to be in the productive minority--the ones who keep things going--grocery stores, gas stations, etc. Then you compare and contrast that with people in other areas with real disabilities who get turned down time after time.

Dems get away with "above my paygrade" and "oceans stop rising", "abortion is sacred".

Republicans do not. Todd Akin was an idiot, whatever party he was from. These guys have to be ready to be not only coherent, but wary.

Trump is coming off more and more like a salesman that not only says what he thinks needs to be said at the moment, but he's been at a level where people have long stopped telling him 'no'.

But many politicians do this as well. One of Bill clinton's people related a story where Bubba was on a radio show, and took questions from callers. He conversed with a caller on a certain topic, and agreed with the caller. A second caller discussed the same topic, but with a differing view. To which Bubba then agreed, contradicting himself. A third caller came on and spoke to the same topic (you can see where this is going); his handlers literally pulled him off the air.
