I will write in Mr Cruz if allowed, but will not vote this time for the lesser of two evils, because I cannot make that distinction here. The Democrats discovered the best solution to those pesky Republican opponents - fill the slot with one of their own.

96 I guess I don't have much sympathy for Cruz or Rubio. They both had the opportunity to give simple answers to policy questions that any fool would know, but they refused.

When asked if the majority of Muslims hate the U.S., who wouldn't know the correct answer is "yes"? Everyone knows this. Even democrats know this, but of course won't say it. However, there will be a lot of democrats voting Trump because he did say it.

And trust me, the minute the media wakes up and realizes what Trump said about charging other countries for protection, the pro-Trump meter will be pegged at 11. This will be one of the most popular policies in the history of the country.

Simple. Obvious. Popular.

110 96 I guess I don't have much sympathy for Cruz or Rubio.

Simple. Obvious. Popular.

Many of you have heard of the five stages of grief, I am sure. Many of you are actively in those five stages. You are grieving the loss of your Republican nomination process, because, although the corpse isn't yet dead, and so therefore not a corpse, the reality is, the corpse is going to die. Real soon.

That corpse being of course, that anyone other than Don Trump is going to be YOUR nominee.

Some people are still in denial, some are depressed, some are angry, and I suppose some are bargaining. Stage five is, acceptance. Some have reached acceptance, and the greatest vitriol for those not yet at acceptance is reserved for those who are already there.

Dr. Ben and several others are already there. You will be too. Someday.

Or you won't. But the corpse, it's already got a date with the morgue.

192 Concerning Trump saying Muslims hate the U.S...

This I completely agree with.

Posted by: Lauren at March 11, 2016 01:12 PM (qHM3d)

It calls into question who advises Cruz and Rubio. This wasn't a pop-quiz surprise - everything Trump said had been out there over 24 hours, so why hadn't Cruz and Rubio formed the obviously correct response?

Who were the advisors worried about alienating?

Are they so out of touch that they don't believe the majority of U.S. voters think the Muslim world hates the U.S.?

Where do they find these people now that Steve Schmidt and Nichole Wallace are out of circulation?

If that's the quality of people they rely on now, I don't want them in the Oval Office.

256 Why Trump can win:

Back in 2012, Obama & Co created the myths that the Middle East had been won, Al Queda was on the run, and that the economy had turned the corner ending the worst recession since the Great Depression. To do this they needed a complicit MSM, the IRS to strangle Tea Party opposition in the cradle, an accommodating Fed and misleading economic statistics cooked up by federal agencies. They only needed a few months' window leading up to November 2012 to do this and they got it. Obama still enjoyed personal popularity and his 2008 Coalition mostly held together. I'll now skip over the Romney bashing and how things could have been different in 2012, and move on to 2016.

If the Dems nominate Hillary, she's a weak candidate with a lot of baggage who's now wed to the failed policies of Obama and the silly policies of Bernie. Blacks and the Young won't turn out for her the way they did for Obama. White working class voters (still a majority of the electorate) won't either and are itching to find a new home. Odds are that we'll have another terrorist attack or two before November 2016. Trump can drive Hillary's negatives through the roof.

So we start with the 2012 electoral map. I don't see a state Romney won that Trump would lose to Hillary. Note particularly that Trump has already mostly swept the South in the primaries even though Cruz made his best play there.

Trump needs a swing of 64 to win. Trump will win Florida (+29). He can win OH (+1, MI (+16), PA (+20), and NV(+6). He's got a shot at VA (+13), CO (+9) and NH (+4). He can challenge with an outside shot to win NY (+29). So he's not drawing to an inside straight.

Name one state that Cruz can win. Some will say FL because of Cubano solidarity, but I say not after Hillary's Right to Chose FemiNazis get on him. Any others?

And there you have it. I'm more worried if the Dems nominate Biden.

That was ten years ago. Has Trump forgotten that hypermasculine bravado is no match for planning? Possible, but unlikely. The roads are paved with the bones of people who thought George W. Catherine I've noticed seems to pull her punches, or maybe her leakers do. What's not in this piece are details about how this IT guy got hired on the side by Hillary while he was working at State (and failed to disclose it when required to) and how he got access to the Clinton's Chappaqua home. This had to involve Hillary and can prove intent.

Daily Caller claims that the FBI has created a separate track for "public corruption" charges involving the Chelsea Legacy Foundation, so as not to delay the e-mail case. "Public corruption" is where the real action is.

The Cruz supporters just as entitled to their opinions as you as you are to yours and they have just as good reasons for supporting him as you have for supporting Trump. It doesn't make them stupid, delusional, evil or crazy Christians anymore than it automatically makes people stupid or delusional who support Trump.

Well based on Cruz supporter comments on Trump, supporters you could have fooled me.

Let me ask you, how do you feel about Cruz happily sending out the "Voter Violations" in Iowa? Do you think a campaign leader that would do that might have problems as a President?

BTW. Dom Louismets' third book on mysticism "The Mystical Life" has a chapter (VII) "The Co-Workers in the Mystical Life: The Mystic and the Blessed Trinity" can only be described a magisterial.

Manning was an (almost) complete dud in his final season, and Ostweiler was competent enough to maintain the same dud level. He is currently overrated. Denver just won a Super Bowl almost entirely on the back of their defense. My guess is they figure they can plug anyone into the QB slot if they can maintain their defensive dominance. And why not? Baltimore won a Super Bowl with Trent Dilfer.

Here was me thinking Trump was saving it for a moment of maximum impact. But this is true. Cruz definitely doesn't want Goldman cutting off the majority of his family's money with one firing, but it would take a lot more effort to hurt Trump financially.

The way I see it, the billionaires involved would simply neutralize Hillary themselves if they thought the alternative was being prosecuted.

Posted by: BurtTC at March 11, 2016 01:46 PM (TOk1P)
----------------------
Good question ---- and I dunno.
It depends on individual priorities and assessments of reality.

Those who see Hillary as THE enemy, as opposed to those who hate the GOPe even more than they hate her, will be more amenable to a Cruz/GOPe alliance.

They will look at the many devastating polls showing Trump losing badly to Hillary. They will take notice of Trumps' astronomically high negatives, which are worse even than Hillary's. They will doubt that any GOP candidate can win without at least a passable measure of GOPe support, like it or not.

Such people will look for almost any way to avoid a Trump candidacy.

Then there are other Cruz supporters who will not see this strategically and will (understandably, IMO) be disgusted by an alliance with the GOPe.

I haven't said it's specifically awful. Certainly not lately. If I tie Cruz to Goldman Sachs, it's for two reasons:

1) They're a pretty bad company with a vampire squid reputation. Anyone could use this against Cruz in the general, even Hillary.

2) To show Cruz isn't invulnerable to pressure. Has he ever faced down the prospect of losing most of his family income? I'm certain being a Goldman director pays better than being a Senator- it's in the same ballpark as Cruz's old private practice.

http://fortune.com/2016/01/14/ted-cruz-heidi-christie-wife/

Portraying Cruz as incorruptible and not an insider rings false to me. Being able to resist attacks is of vital importance. Trump, whatever his other flaws, is Teflon like that. And the republic can't afford another loss with a Velcro candidate.

Stuffed Grape Leaves

Serves 8 (Makes 24)

Long grain rice can be substituted for short grain rice in this recipe. Larger grape leaves can be trimmed to 6-inches and smaller leaves can be combined to achieve the correct size.

1 jar (16 ounces) grape leaves

2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil

1 large onion, chopped fine

Salt and pepper

3/4 cup short grain rice

1/3 cup chopped fresh dill

1/4 cup chopped fresh mint

11/2 tablespoons grated lemon zest plus 1/4 cup juice (2 lemons)

Reserve 24 intact grape leaves, roughly 6-inches in diameter (large leaves can be trimmed and small leaves can be combined); set the rest aside for later. Bring 6 cups water to boil in medium saucepan. Add 24 reserved grape leaves and cook for 1 minute. Drain leaves and transfer to bowl of cold water to cool, about 5 minutes. Drain leaves well, transfer to plate, and cover loosely with plastic wrap.

Heat oil in now-empty saucepan over medium heat until shimmering. Add onion and 1/2 teaspoon salt and cook until softened and lightly browned, 5 to 7 minutes. Add rice and cook, stirring frequently, until edges begin to turn translucent, about 2 minutes. Stir in 3/4 cup water and bring to boil. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer until rice is tender but still firm in center and water is absorbed, 10 to 12 minutes. Remove rice from heat, uncover, and let cool, about 10 minutes. Stir in dill, mint, and lemon zest, and season with salt and pepper to taste.

Place one blanched leaf, smooth side down, on counter. Remove any thick stems from base of grape leaves by cutting along both sides of rib to form a narrow triangle. Overlap ends of leaf to prevent any filling from spilling out. Place heaping tablespoon of filling 1/4 inch from bottom of leaf where ends overlap. Fold bottom over filling and fold in sides. Roll leaf tightly around filling to create tidy roll. Repeat with remaining filling and reserved blanched leaves.

Line 12-inch skillet with single layer of remaining leaves to cover skillet bottom. Place rolled leaves in pan close together seam side down. Combine 1 cup water and lemon juice, add to skillet, and bring to simmer over medium heat. Cover, reduce heat to medium-low, and simmer gently until water is almost evaporated, and leaves and rice are tender and cooked through, 45 minutes to 1 hour.

Transfer stuffed grape leaves to serving platter and let cool to room temperature; discard leaves in skillet. Drizzle with extra oil to taste and serve.

The source, who is not authorized to speak on the record due to the sensitivity of the ongoing investigation, said Pagliano has provided information allowing investigators to knit together the emails with other evidence, including images of Clinton on the road as secretary of state.

The cross-referencing of evidence could help investigators pinpoint potential gaps in the email record. Anyways, nothing personal- I don't even think Trump used the Canadian attack on Cruz out of being personal. Planting the idea that Cruz was as Canadian as he is American- even back in 2012- is toxic among a certain kind of American, which is why Trump did it.

695 Those following Hillary's e-mail case already kinda know what happened. These leaks show that the FBI has been nailing down the evidence to prove the necessary predicate facts for an actual indictment. Pagliano's testimony will establish that the home brew server was set up at Hillary's direction for the specific purpose of mixing her private business and official business. When they joined State, as part of its standard practice, Hillary and Pagliano were warned not to let official business get outside secure channels. So there's a few crimes right there, that could get Pagliano a few hundred years if he doesn't co-operate.

Pagliano should be able to testify about other people in Hillary's e-mail ring -- Huma, Cheryl, maybe Chelsea. Others at the Chelsea Legacy Foundation? Sid? He may have direct knowledge about how official business got moved out of the secure government network and onto Hillary's home brew.

The Herridge article talks about how they're time-linking pictures of Hillary on her devices to use of her system.

You don't need much more to have a prima facie case on some charges to bring to a grand jury.

I'm still hoping that the FBI brings pay-for=play charges. You just need a few good e-mails to finish connecting the dots.

698 DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (AP) - A top security official in Dubai
warned Friday of a "clash of civilizations" if U.S. Republican candidate
Donald Trump becomes president, the latest sign of disquiet across the
Middle East over the businessman's comments about Muslims....

Lt. Gen. Dhahi Khalfan Tamim, the deputy chairman of police and general
security in Dubai, took to Twitter to respond. Referencing political
scientist Samuel P. Huntington's theory that future wars would be fought
between cultures, Tamim warned that a Trump win could see him face
Islamic State group leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.

Horse already out of the barn, train's left the station - think what he's really concerned with is that Trump not afraid to acknowledge that we're already at war.

699 OK, look, ace, you really should un-ban Phone of kari / Ghost of kar/ MUMR.

Yes, he's a paid shill, an actual employee of the Trump campaign. Yes, he's paid in Trump Coin (TM), at the rate of 0.05 Trump Coins (TM) per word to comment here on Trump's behalf.

But consider: Trump Coin (TM) has no value -- like everything with this brand, it's a worthless sham. So, in a sense, he's not really a paid shill. He just thinks he is.

And this is honestly all the guy has: After the butt-plug factory laid him off, despite his years of seniority in the test lab, the guy was left to wander the streets asking random people if they'd like to watch him stuff something into his squeakhole, til he was finally picked up on solicitation charges. And then Trump came along and gave his life new meaning.

So come on -- cut the guy a break.

Has water and 2 slices of whole grain bread on Fridays year round.
Eats whatever she likes on Sundays.

Restricts food a lot during Lent and Advent, then pigs out at Easter and the 12 days of Christmas.
That sort of thing.

Great for weight control!
Six kids and she has always weighed the same.

Botecelli has a painting about Pentacost, and at the bottom he has several men in Jewish garb trying to get into the temple to worship but they were locked out

the Jews were trying to get into the temple to observe Shavuot, but they couldnt get in because the Christians were celebrating Pentecost

all paid for by his patrons the Medicis

How can anyone vote for someone who was married to someone who was one of 36,900 employees of a company that got a bailout! Bailouts are bad! Goldman Sachs is bad! Getting loans that against personal assets and paying them back is bad!

Let's all vote for someone who owned companies that used bankruptcy as a "legitimate" and "legal" tool to stick banks with the results of his repeated business failures while partnering with and bribing Democrats... because that's like totally different and awesome or something. Because banks are bad and deserve people to default on their loans so they can go get bailouts... or something.
