Well, those guys over there are pissed off at these guys. Those other guys think that far group over by the bar are all assholes. The guys at the bar just flipped everyone off and grabbed their crotches. Someone threw a bottle and, well, it got a bit out of hand. So Doctor, is there a code for having a beer bottle shoved down one's throat? Local hospitals are going to need that code.

I asked earlier what the nickname of the Astrodome once was.

At one time the Astrodome was referred to as the Eighth Wonder Of The World.

Additionally, the Astrodome was the primary venue of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo from 1966 until 2002. It opened in 1965 as Harris County Domed Stadium and was nicknamed the "Eighth Wonder of the World".

136 Ace, reposting from last thread. Not that you'll listen to me, and it isn't easy but...

I naturally am a night owl. My natural sleep pattern is go to bed at 2-3AM, wake up at 10AM.

Because of work, my body is on a totally different schedule. I get up at 4:30am, go to bed by 10pm. It isn't natural for me, but after so many years, your body adjusts.

However,
some time ago, I broke some bones. Was off work for quite some time
and unable to exercise with a broken leg. Because I wasn't getting much
exercise, my body stored energy. Combine that with being a night owl
and I'd find myself being awake all night and maybe conking out at 9am
for a few hours. My entire sleep schedule was screwed up. Some nights
no sleep, some nights falling asleep at 2am, sometimes sleeping middle
of day.

Your body craves two things. Exercise and routine. If
you exercise, and get rid of excess energy, you can sleep better at
night. Routine, of any sort, is also good. Go to bed and get up at the
same time every day. But seriously, exercise is a huge key to good
sleep.

Teacher: OK class, we will on work our alphabet and our vocabulary. Can anyone tell me a word that begins with the letter A.

Little Donald: (Jumping up and down). Me. Me. Me.

Knowing Little Donnie will yell Ass, she looks around and picks Susie who says Apple and beams for Teacher.

Teacher: Now can anyone tell me a word that begins with the letter B.

Little Donald: (Jumping up and down). Me. Me. Me.

Knowing Little Donnie will yell Boobs, she looks around and picks Annie who says Bananas and beams for Teacher.

This goes on until they get to the letter R, with Little Donald jumping up every time. Exasperated and thinking that she can't think of a bad word that begins with R ...

Teacher: OK Donald your turn. Please tell us a word that begins with the letter R.

Little Donald: A rat. A rat with a YUUUUGE fucking cock!

Teacher, shaking her head: Gingers ....

It gives the third world, with their zero

environmental and labor laws, plus subsidized industries a structural

advantage against us. We simply can not compete with them in a free

trade environment. And if we're not competing with them, that means

whole sectors of our economy flee and there's no jobs for the working

class. That's not good for anyone. Free trade has been shooting us in

the foot. It's time to let go of the ideology and look at the facts.

He had always held this position. But when he said it before in 2012 (for example) the phase-out date would be 2017.

As he's still proposing it, but it hasn't been passed yet, the phase-out date now changes --five years plus 2016 equals 2021.

Thus, he's "changed" the plan.

At least that's my understanding. Seems like complete nonsense to me.

Chile runs a system like the one we're talking about, IIRC. The private accounts are run by basically any bank that can assemble a program that meets the government's guidelines. The people get to pick which bank and which plan they go with. Last I checked (about 5+ years ago), their average payment relative to per capita GDP was about 150% of ours.

Give the Kroger's store brand Mayonnaise a try. I find it better than all the national brands.

As for Duke's? Yes, it's very high quality, and very smooth. But it hasn't the tanginess that makes a good mayonnaise interesting and tasty. It does not hold up well under Cajun Roast Beef and Swiss Cheese on a good sammich bun. It's school-lunch cafeteria bland, sad to say.

The Kroger's brand, conversely, holds it's own in the mix of other tasty foods. Not overly pronounced, but it's good stuff.

Politicians didn't realize that life expectancy would go up as much as it did, and that Americans would stop having many children.

At first, 40 people were paying in for every person drawing. And most people drawing died in a few years.

760 I'm sorry, Trump fans...but when Cruz, and even Rubio, are talking about Israel, Donald is lost. He has no true knowledge of the history.

But hey! He's got a Jewish son-in-law! And friends! Lots of Jewish friends!

762 Rubio is getting a large majority of the time. Also debate audience is largely pro-Rubio

Some public employee unions don't pay into social security and Medicare. My mother didn't. She draws a Cal-Pers pension.

764 I know there are lot of Cruz supporters here, but he comes across, especially towards Trump as condescending. Is it just me?

Trump is the condescending one. Cruz really is smart.
Trump just has to keep telling us that he's smart.

Yes. All these impulses and evaluations are coming singularly from your mind and the issues that stem from your childhood.

A mystery.

It actually is... she hates politics and leaves the room if the politics are talked.
Funny as hell... her first comment when Rubio started talking was "That guy looks like a robot"
I LOLed

769 So I'm a millennial. Perhaps this a dumb question, but why not make social security optional for people my age? I'm great at saving my own money. I'd probably get a better return on investment as well by putting that money I keep into something like a Roth IRA for example.

Becaues you're a peon and serf to the Political Elite, to be milked so they can bribe other people for votes.

And after a lifetime of that, a significant number will line up to the government with hands out for their "fair share".

But maybe we'll break the chains.

773 754 I know there are lot of Cruz supporters here, but he comes across, especially towards Trump as condescending. Is it just me?

My preference is for Cruz, but he seems much detail oriented and very lawyerly (ie, I know the facts, so let me explain it too you ) - while it gives me confidence in his intellect, and helps show he knows his stuff, Trump grasps the 'feeling' of the argument a bit better and doesn't worry abt the details, I don't think people care that he doesnt offer specifics, I think Cruz is more effective when he dials it back a bit (he still comes off as competent - Trump could care less how he comes off, a lot of people think he's competent no matter how nutty he explains himself).

Posted by: hinoeuma at March 10, 2016 10:06 PM (//TVq)

774 I think all the candidates are doing well tonight. Trump is light on specifics as usual, but that's to be expected.

Cruz is excellent, touching all the conservative points while detailing specifics, contrasting himself very well with Trump. This should have been his campaign strategy all along.

Rubio is doing well too but it's too little too late.

Kasich can go fuck a barbed banana.

Not deals. Really good deals. Really good deals. Really good deals. He's ostensibly clueless about pretty much everything, but hey, really good deals.
If this guy was running on the Democrat side, everyone here would be laughing at him. Gary Hart was intelligent and well prepared compared to this guy.

778 Trump makes too many hand gestures and facial expressions. I believe he's hiding something....possible childhood molestation....that would also account for his thought on Ben Carson being a weird "molester".
A person in such a state is potentially dangerous.

Someone has to keep grandma in hair bluing and she ran out of her own money put in to SS about two years into drawing a check.

To be fair, a 65 year old grandma who has been paying 15% of her earnings into SS system since about 1966 which would probably have in the $250,000 range if she retired at 63 and only averaged $40K/yr.

If she had invested her SS contribution instead into the S&P 500 she would have retired with $20,125,314 in cash.

But even without that investment, she probably could survive for more than 2 years on the $250K she actually contributed to her SS.
