Cruz Targets Trump on Previous Support of Gun Bans -- And Marco Rubio Too
As regards Trump, it's pretty easy to find his previous support (when he wasn't running for president and didn't have to claim things like that he's super into the Bible) for gun control.
Just a rich buffet of gun-grabbiness.Of course he supported the very reasonable ban on assault weapons. Because that's what people without any sort of conservative ideology do -- they adopt the easy, path-of-least-resistance claims of the left. But as for Marco Rubio -- this is a new one on me. But Cruz is putting Rubio's bona fides into question.

We will make sure our members know." The "Preservation and Protection of the Right to Keep and Bear Arms in Motor Vehicles Act" passed the legislature in 2008--during Rubio's tenure as Florida House Speaker--and was signed into law by Governor Charlie Crist. Rubio voted for the measure, yet just over a year after it was signed, Hammer reflected on the effort it took to get the bill passed and said, "[Rubio] was a big disappointment to us when he was the speaker. He talked the talk, but he didn’t walk the walk,"according to the Tampa Bay Times.

Well, that's it. I can buy that over the last 17 years Rubio might have changed his mind, and Trump over the last 15. The Assault Weapons ban sounded okay to a lot of people who didn't know guns very well (or at all) because it sounds like banning 50 caliber machineguns from the Wal*Mart sport department.
But learning more? How has either one changed? My guess is that Rubio, based on the NRA statements and his past antics with the public vs his personal wishes, hasn't changed much. I dunno about Trump. Guns seems like an area he might not be too leftist about.

Cruz supporters acknowledge his mistakes and wrongdoings. I also have a yuuuge problem with his support of the Iran farce vote.
But guess what, all humans are flawed, politicians especially so. Based on my knowledge of the remaining candidates (sit down Kasich), I trust Cruz the most.
I fully expect that he would disappoint me if he got elected, but that would not cause an existential crisis with me as I do not put my trust in him. Overall, I think he would make a decent president, and his respect for the Constitution is very important to me.

You misunderstand (anyone who has researched it knows TPP hasn't been presented yet). Cruz was for TPA and voted for it, before he was against it, on an unrelated consideration (he cites Ex-Im). That vote flipped the scipt on the 2/3 majority requirement to affirm Treaties. GOA notes the risks inherent in such a wide open subject matter Treaty. I don't remember if the TPP vote will be 51 or less.
Cruz dropped the ball on TPA. His vote on the Iran deal is even more inexplicable, given that the 98-1 vote didn't need his vote. (He was not the lone dissenter.)

The cut off tail was presented to the local population whose hunting tradition has them making bracelets out of elephant tails. The meat was also given to the village, which was being terrorized by the over population of bull elephants, and the surrounding forest was being stripped of vegetation.

Carson's past statements suggests he's weak/naive on guns and Kasich voted for the assault rifle ban while he was in Congress. Trump was funding the same Progressive Democrats who oppose you on all the other three issues.
Cruz successfully argued for gun rights in Heller before the SCOTUS. He also successfully defended the constitutionality of the Ten Commandments monument on the Texas State Capitol grounds.
Cruz and Rubio seem to be pretty much the same on life issues, except they differ on tactics, falling on different sides in regards to how best to defund Planned Parenthood.
Also, for MTF who cares about Federalism I'd say this: Rick Perry, who was probably the strongest on the 10th Amendment this election cycle, put aside their differences and endorsed Cruz. I think that's significant. Also, Cruz argued (and won) a SCOTUS defending Texas' right to punish Medellin, the scumbag convicted of murdering two girls. For all his flaws and question marks on issues, I do think Trump is pretty solid on 2A only bc of the influence of his sons. Apparently, they were raised as young kids to learn how to hunt by their grandfather, Ivana's father (?). His kids all have alot of influence over him especially his daughter. Hugh Hewitt even gave Ivanka as a reason why we should vote for Trump over Hitlery.

I already voted. For Cruz. On Feb. 20. I expect Trump to win the nomination. If he were smart, he would shut up and ride the wave. But then, this is the guy that chose Joan Rivers to win Celebrity Apprentice when Annie Duke clearly (and I mean CLEARLY) should have won.

A federal magistrate judge in New York sided Monday with Apple against the Justice Department, in a legal fight over whether the company can be forced to help investigators extract data from a locked phone--a ruling that could affect a similar, much-watched case over a terrorist's phone in California.
The ruling, which could shape the broader battle over privacy, security and technology now being waged between Washington and Silicon Valley, comes a day before the head of the Federal Bureau of Investigation and Apple's top lawyer are due to testify before Congress.

Fast-track, or trade promotion authority, will allow the White House to send trade deals to Congress for up-or-down votes. The Senate will not be able to filibuster them, and lawmakers will not have the power to amend them.
And THAT is a significant Vote, almost tandemount to passing it
And there is no reason to be condescending to people who who need clarification on that.

The other worrying thing is that there is virtually no limitation on subject matter of TPP; only something to the effect that it effect or implicate trade. It if is any limit like the commerce power, it is no limit whatsoever, except when it is a tax, I guess.
