Animal Planet: Snoop Dogg Style - Niedermeyer's Dead Horse

Whilst we await the gardening post, how about a little furry entertainment?

Doing it as only he could, Snoop Dogg narrates Animal Planet. It's even better than Gin 'N Juice.

There is now a petition to have Snoop Dogg narrate Planet Earth.

I'm not kidding.

2 I'd sign a petition for Snoop Dog to disappear quietly and be forgotten. I don't think he speaks that way as an affectation, I think he's lost so many brain cells to weed that's just what it sounds like when he tries to talk.

Its like advertising with Michael Jordan. I remember as a kid all I knew Joe Dimaggio for was the guy who sold Mr Coffee.

Only for federal prisons. And you know how many "juvies" are in federal prisons? I consider anyone over 17 as an adult and that is who he is removing solitary from. It takes a LOT of crime for someone under 21 to get sent to a federal pen. These are not choir boys. And anything that asshole can no with an XO can be undone the same way.

Posted by: Vic We Have No Party at January 30, 2016 12:48 PM (t2KH5)

38 No question solitary is cruel, but its hardly unusual. And its almost always as much for the good of the prisoner as the general population and guards.

92 All threads are pet threads, right? My sweet Jane just had "full immersion" at the dog park, about 8 or 9 dogs running around in a large fenced area. She was the biggest dog there when we arrived, ran wild with the other dogs, then a pair of Newfoundlands showed up and the poor little thing hid under a picnic table. I don't think she's used to dogs bigger than herself, but she eventually came out and socialized with the shaggy beasts. Also got some illicit off-the-leash time after we left the dog enclosure, when we crossed a guy with an unleashed Sable Collie who desperately wanted to play. All in all, another good day at the dog park.

Perhaps.

But, this is no surprise.

When a gov't refuses to protect the people,

the people will protect themselves.

and usually do a messy mob version of it.

This is why gov'ts should listen to their people and protect them.

And get control of the problem.

Otherwise, there is no reason for a gov't to exist if it's unwilling to carry of it's primary function.

Just a thought...because gov't officials who created this mess will probably be next.

When there is a total break down of law and order from a specific group...

There WILL be a backlash.

When one group sets ITSELF apart, and attacks another group... there will be a backlash.

We are starting to see the results of these two things coinciding at the same time...

146 Beating up people who don't look Swedish isn't going to garner a whole lot of good press. You can just hear the comparisons to 1930s Germany being written.

a) nothing short of complete suicidal capitulation will garner good press b) the press has deservedly lost much credibility here, and perhaps there as well, so that shouldn't be a concern. If you wish to deter/repel/defend against an invading force, and the press is against you no matter what, you might as well ignore them. c) what naturalfake said. The government is acting against its own citizens, so they must take action themselves.

Unfortunately, the dog has a taste for chicken now, so he won't stop. Even if he isn't eating them, it's a fun game to him. My min-pin would probably do the same.

Lines are becoming blurred, though. For instance, what if the government, elected by majority, confiscates someone's house and says that migrants can stay there?

Technically, the migrants are legally in the country, legally in the house. Would the homeowner have the right to shoot them if he could get away with it? I think so. These migrants, regardless of whether or not they happen to be raping, assaulting or crapping in public at the time are not there legitimately, but due to government lawlessness, even if it is technically "legal". If the government will not keep tjem out or deport them, the citizenry have the right to convince them to self deport.

Sweden has entered the Burning Times, and I would not be too quick to judge them by the norms and standards of societies that are not there yet.

I hope it works, he is going to leave it on his dog till it rots. He also told my husband he may get chickens to teach the dog not to kill them. I know the first time that dog gets out, he's coming here.
Ranch life is any predator after your livestock is shot. I know it's not the dogs fault. This is the way it's done. We are not mean. If our livestock is on his ranch, then it's our fault. His predator on our ranch gets a bullet.

189 I'm worried about taking my giant dog (Great Dane) to a dog park. She is so big and that lost dog I took in she kept jumping up on her back and chasing her around my house the one time I let them be together. And, I have had people cross the street to avoid my dog because she is big. She does well with people but I don't what to do if she is in a public place and goes nuts. When I boarded her, the people at the kennel said she did well with the other dogs.

190 I think that leaflets should be distributed to ethnic Swedes who beat the crap out of fake refugees saying, "Don't beat up the fake refugees."

But police should turn a blind eye otherwise.

I thought it was determined that instructional leaflets were the most effective way to deal with lawlessness.

I remember seeing a doc on a federal prison. They interviewed this guy who had escaped from another prison and went to his sister's house and asked her to hide him. When she refused, he murdered her, her husband, their two children. When the reporter asked about this, the guy said. "I forgave myself." When the reporter mentioned it again in disbelief, the guy said again really menacingly: "I told you I forgave myself. "

Been thinking about that. Had a friend in college who joined. They had a uniform and everything.

I just got another Obama care enrollment call. Concerns me.

193 L,elle, what I did was bring Jane to the park on a leash the first few times, she met several dogs on the paths, but never went into the play area. She was good with the leashed dogs, so today I let her loose in the Large Dog area, and she blended very well with the other sizes/breeds. Give it a try.

Posted by: Lizzy at January 30, 2016 02:51 PM (NOIQH)

195 L'elle,
That would make me nervous as well. Great Danes are huge and I would be afraid I wouldn't be strong enough to restrain him if it was needed.
Every Great Dane I've met have been the sweetest dogs. Good with kids and other animals.

196 I thought it was determined that instructional leaflets were the most effective way to deal with lawlessness.

Clearly, that's the proper approach. They could air drop them over sectors of the city: "in our culture we do not dress up in masked gangs and beat the living crap out of rapists and thieves."

Problem solved.

Off the leash and with so many dogs wanting to play, I think there would not be much aggression. There is no territory in the dog park and they are not cornered as if on a leash.

All those new butts to smell....heaven!

Posted by: Bruce With a Wang! at January 30, 2016 02:54 PM (iQIUe)

200 I know people think it's horrible to have to shoot a dog, but it happens all the time on ranches. Especially when there are more than one dog. The dogs attack cattle, horses, sheep. Just the dogs chasing the livestock will get them shot in a hurry.

Posted by: CaliGirl at January 30, 2016 02:56 PM (egOGm)

201 Would it be possible to catch the dog and take it to the Humane Society or have the county pick it up?

202 L'elle,
I'm not sure how true this is but aggressive dogs are supposed to do better with other dogs off the lead.

204 I know people think it's horrible to have to shoot a dog, but it happens all the time on ranches.

I guess its just a rural/urban divide with people not understanding the unbelievable damage dogs can do to livestock in a very short time.

One got loose on a sheep farm not far from where I live. He had fun chasing sheep around until he finally attacked one and found out how easy they are to kill. That was fun so he killed like a dozen more before they caught him.

206 I have to work up the nerve to take her the park. Do other owners get mad if a dog nips or jumps on theirs? I don't want to be dog owner that can't control her dog. She is incredibly calm at home but she gets super hyper at times when something excited her like seeing a wabbit outside

This is a small town, they know us. I can't do that. If I can catch the dog, I'd bring back to the ranch. I've done it before. The dog was running in the road about a month ago. I predict if he doesn't control it, it will be shot. Around here you don't get the government involved.

208 Years ago, my neighbor had 3 or 4 dogs, they would go around and hook up with their buds and roam around in a pack. They killed my cat when I wasn't home. I hated those SOBs.

Some people may, but they would be assholes. Dogs are going to dog.

211 My friend has three little yap dogs, the kind I wish I could just punt over the house. Its one of those "if I let the wife do this, I get my hobbies" devil's deals men have to make when married.

They're spastic. if anyone gets up, moves, drops something, the cat jumps to the floor, a cloud passes overhead, someone farts, or one of them just gets a wild hair, off they all go barking so loud you can't even talk.

They're trying to train the dogs to not do that but will not resort to beatings and I suspect that's all that will work. It makes going over to their house misery.

213 Caligirl. I hope it doesn't come to your husband having to shoot the neighbors dog, but your cattle are money and property as much as a house is. If some out of control dog broke into my house, I'd probably be forced to shoot it too. I hope the chicken around the neck thing works. The neighbor can have my chickens. I kinda hate them especially the rotten insane rooster

Posted by: L, Elle at January 30, 2016 03:03 PM (2x3L+)

214 They killed my cat when I wasn't home.

I don't mind dogs being dogs, I mind their owners for letting it happen and even encouraging it. There was a guy in my neighborhood when I was a kid that would sic his big dog on cats and kill them. He thought it was funny. Someone poisoned one of our cats. I don't get that kind of evil.

That is when dogs become dangerous to livestock. This is why cattle ranchers shoot the first time, then bury them.

217 L'elle,
I don't have cattle but the neighbor does. That puppy now has a taste for blood. I'm afraid the calves or baby sheep will be next. If they don't keep it contained it's only a matter of time.

I bought a Savage .223 bolt gun a while ago when the coyote packs started getting way too bold. The blue heeler keeps them pretty much at bay, though.

The biggest threats to my chickens are racoons and opossums. The dogs and .22lrs keep them thinned out...

228 Late to the dead thread's deadly dog talk, and I've mentioned this before, but here goes anyway.

Our good friend Bob lives on the ranch here and rents the pasture where he and his family run cattle. (Me, I'm all hat and no cattle.)

Next door (1/8 mile away) there was a rental mobile home on an acre. Tenant neighbor was watching a pit bull for a friend.

Pit bull got out and went for one of Bob's cattle. When the neighbor caught up with the dog, he was glommed on to a cow's face. Shot his friend's dog on the spot.

Then he came up to our place and talked to Bob, told him what happened, and said he'd pay for any cost of damage done to the cow.

Sorry for his friend, and the friend's dog, too, but that's country life. That was a good neighbor.
