NJ hasn't gotten any yet; It's supposed to start this evening. However , the panic at the supermarket has begun. You go in there and it looks like a horde of hungry locusts went through even with items you wouldn't expect. Hummus is wiped out?. I had to go because I didn't have much of anything and was waiting till someone got paid. I was in line and then i realized I had forgotten one thing. When I got back (really quickly) someone had pushed my cart completely out of line. Ooookay. They without saying anything to to woman who did that, I went to another line where some woman said, "I'm in line here, you know!!" "Yes, I did know that," I said.. "We're two lines feeding into one and unless I park completely in the aisle I have to park my cart here."
If there's a nuclear disaster those of us who aren't dead and haven't been prepping for years will be fighting over the last bit of bread. ;^)

The article about the paths to nomination is interesting. It confirms that Bush is employing "the last man standing" strategy. But I think the article discounts the anger of the public too much. I've talked to this man before. He's originally from Indonesia but served in the Navy in the U.S. He must be Muslim because his lovely wife wears a head scarf, but unless he completely flips out at some point, he's definitely one of the nice Muslims.

Has Trump thought all the issues, from education to national defense through? Fuck no. Not even close.
Is there some underlying principle that Trump will follow on all issues, so discerning what Trump will do is easy? Fuck no. Trump's a wild card who can swing any which way on every issue.
So, if it's inevitable that he's going to be elected and he doesn't have a set-in-stone policy on every issue, where is he going to turn when he takes office?

It's time to establish some sort of institution (cyber) where innovative policy solutions can be worked out and ready for implementation. That way, the temptation to use the same assholes who have fucked up the country for decades will be lessened.

I was thinking today that it's maybe about time we put someone in as President that wasn't either a lawyer or was part of government before being President.
I looked back and there hasn't been anybody elected to the Presidency (except GW Bush but I think because his whole family is lawyers or Government (GHWB was in the CIA) he doesn't count) that wasn't previous part of Government or a lawyer. Next previous was Hoover a mining engineer.
Majority of our Presidents have been Lawyers.
Let's try something different. What the hell.

What is the plan for the mainstream Right to deal with the sentiments espoused by much of Trump's support--the nationalistic impulse (stricter immigration controls, reworking trade to keep American jobs, etc.)? Is the "America First" sentiment something that can be redirected, in your opinion?
I'm dead serious here because I'd like to think there was a way to tap this very legitimate sentiment in a productive manner.

They won't listen to me, or the majority of us.
They're only concerned when the cats (that's us) become harder to herd.
Now we are moving into the hectoring and lecturing portion of the election cycle, a little sooner than they'd like. Usually, they get their GOPe stamped candidate, and then tell the rubes about how this is a pivotal moment in history, and fall in line, and fuck you.
This time the concern seems to be that not only will they not get "their" preferred candidate, but that they might win with the wrong one, and thus damage the shiny lustrous brand that is the Party.
I'm powerless. An audience member screaming at the screen of an already made movie. So are most of us, and all the name calling is getting silly.
