Hillary: Hey, This IG Is Just a Republican Stooge Rehashing Discredited Attacks

Her spokesman attempts to not say "vast right wing conspiracy," perhaps expecting guffaws. (He'd be right to expect that.) He instead says that the IG's leaks are "highly coordinated with Republicans."

Except the IG isn't a Republican; indeed, he's an Obama appointee.

When someone is obviously guilty of a crime, I'm sure the world looks like a "conspiracy" out to "get them."

This conspiracy is called "the criminal justice system," and it embraces thousands and thousands of co-conspirators.

But it does go to show how easy it is to subvert the Criminal Justice system if you have access to and compliance of Big Media.

Remember all the lefties who want to impeach Michigan Governor Snyder over the Flint water plan? Of course the mayor and city council are all Democrats and agreed to the plan that led to it. The EPA flubbed and even under a Republican, that's a Democrat agency.

It was all down to the fact that Snyder had appointed a city manager, who is apparently supposed to be responsible for testing water.

Hillary Clinton faces Twitter backlash after saying in debate that 'no individual' is 'too big to jail'

A tweet sent out by Hillary Clinton's campaign during last night's Democratic debate got a lot of attention because of the email scandal

'I can't believe she just tweeted that with a straight face,' said one Twitter users

A chorus of other Twitter users asked if Hillary was 'too big to jail'

Posted by: Misfortune & Pestilence at January 20, 2016 12:54 PM (JayGb)

223 I still think the pressure on Zoobama to give Hillary a preemptive pardon must be pretty sizeable. The Democrats really need to get this threat out of the way, or she may have to close down her campaign. Obviously an indictment kills her chances, and I'd argue a continuing and increasingly serious investigation does it too.

They don't want to have Crazy Bern as the nominee, so Elizabeth Warren or Biden (or maybe some past loser like Kerry) will either have to get in or they will need to clean Hillary up.

I predict a big dump of damaging info from the administration to see how she survives it. If she still floats, and still polls reasonably well, she will get a pardon. Otherwise, you'll see her drop out and Warren or Biden will jump in.

Either way, the Democrats face open rebellion from the socialist Bernie supporters (maybe Warren can blunt that, so I bet she's the one who gets in). Total chaos on the Democrat side coming.

I actually agree, which is why I think he goes private sector, either someone like Mark Cuban or, to broaden his appeal, someone more lefty, like Elon Musk (unlikely, guy's a cipher and wouldn't fit in as second fiddle). Or a celebrity, which accomplishes the same thing, and let's be honest, after Joe Biden, why shouldn't Vince Vaughn or Kurt Russell be VP? Then we'll see what idiocracy looks like.

He needs to balance grabbing hold of the GOP bloc, not just the "angry base," with actual triangulation if he wants to sway the 5-15 percent of dems he needs to jump ship. So if he doesn't stay bulletproof with Republican likely voters through SC, he'll probably nominate an R politician and then tack left for the general. If he shores up the R coalition he'll have more leeway with a VP pick.

Trump is going to be in an identical position if he's nominated. None of the rival candidates are going to want to be remembered as the new Rep. Wm. E. Miller.

If Trump wants a nationally known GOP figure on his ticket, I think Palin & Ventura would accept, but likely no one else who is a national political figure.

289 my rambling thoughts:
Hillery makes a deal with the Obama admin to avoid any real trouble before the election. After the election, Obama pardons Hillery whether she wins or loses.
Hillery in return agrees to an Obama (or ValJar) approved VP. Double plus: Hillery agrees to give Moochelle a position (if the Dems somehow take back the Senate, maybe Sec of Education.)

Also... if Trump is the Repub nominee and it looks like he's going to win, the Obama admin suddenly announces all kinds of criminal and civil investigations against Trump and his company.

Also, what the f is up with people saying they will support a third party conservative candidate for Pres if Trump is the nominee? Why don't they just start a C'onservatives for Hillery" org? I'm sure David Brooks would want to be the honorary chairman.

The paradigm is big government or slightly less big government.

When the so called "conservstives" held both houses and the Presidency, we did not get conservative policies.

We got anything but that.

The only lasting thing to come from that was a single SCOTUS pick and we had to kick and scream to get even that, see Harriet Myers.

So this notion that Trump isn't conservative is pointless, the only question is will he advance want are now my narrow goals of altering the trajectory on immigration. I think he will, he says he will. The other candidates have, in their own way, told me to go fuck myself.

So that's why I support Trump, but he is starting to make it hard to that.

All that, is a long line of degrading our currency and empowering the private bankers. Reagan was not happy about the deficit he left ... Greenspan and future fed chairs enabled the continuation of the "voodoo". Is the party over?

446 We (me included) see him at least partially as the hammer of hate to be used on the GOPe for past transgressions, but that doesn't account for his level of popularity.

IIRC, what got the gold-plated, luxurious ball of Trump rolling was his simple statement about closing the Mexican border to illegals.

That's something that most Americans know has never even been tried during their lifetimes.

It's the elephant in the room and he was the first candidate to actually say what everyone's been thinking for years. He's a refreshing break from the legions of milquetoast quims who dare not take a stance on anything.

And he pissed off all the right people by saying it.

There are conservative candidates running in the GOP primaries right now--as deep of a bench we've seen from the GOP in ages--and you're going for Trump because you're pissed at the Establishment and you think Trump is going to do...something somewhere that might somehow justify your support.

This Trump phenomenon is strikingly similar to the Know Nothing movement of the pre-Civil War Era. TheKnow Nothings only claim to fame was that it was instrumental in giving the 1856 election to DemocratJames Buchanan, later rated as the worst president in our history and whose election made the Civil War a certainty.

This time we get Hillary--or maybe even Bernie Sanders. With luck, unlike last time, maybe we won't end up shooting at each other before it's over.

But they can't ... that's the thing ... 1000 more Overton windows have to be moved, and nobody else has shown the ability to do it. Cruz was late to "the wall" and recently wanted 5X H-1Bs, and expressed love for LEGAL immigration. So who is kidding whom?

Youve got the conservative candidate that you were begging for for last two elections and you choose to support s liberal who calls that conservative candidate a nasty guy. You've dismissed candidates in the past for just one liberal position and now support someone who had or has dozens of liberal positions. You don't believe it's hypocritical. So be it.

514 Funny piece in Commentary today hyperventilating about the "Palin-Trump alliance" and how it signals the death of Reagan conservatism. As if Reagan conservatism lasted 10 minutes beyond the first Bush's inauguration, or that Dole, Bush, McCain or Romney were "Reagan conservatives" or that Rino's ever cared anyway.

Reagan would be derided as a moderate today. Even by the standards and issues of his time he wasn't good enough.

Trump bashed Reagan in The Art of the Deal on page 60. IN 1987.

If you thought Reagan was good for America, you should despise Trump.

525 i'm a Cruz guy

but here's the thing.

Apart from him, no one else on the bench is particularly conservative.

And Trump will do, at least, one thing that I think is important for the good of the country.

Build a wall and reestablish control of our borders.

If you're against that, then you're going to have to explain to me how allowing millions of unskilled, uneducated, illiterate(even in their own language) people into our country to instantly get on welfare and social security which they will never ever come close to paying back-

is both conservative and good for our country.

That's not even my biggest issue, but the others aren't even offering that.

Cruz 1st.

If not him though, Trump.

After Cruz, you're just arguing degrees of libtardism.

I'll take the guy (Trump) who will, maybe, give me at least one thing I want.

Here's something...Those who are supporting Trump are incandescent with rage at the establishment for what they believe are betrayals. Derision and condescension is bringing gasoline and road flares into a pine forest. If the establishment ever wanted to get this under control they have been passing up their opportunities.
