Playoff Football! Kansas City Chiefs vs. New England Patriots [CBD]

And below the fold....the last of the cheerleader photos. I think even our resident internet genius NDH is tapped out after this week.

Valerie Bertinelli's younger sister....

playoff 1.jpg

Tallest cheerleader in the NFL. She is actually 6'7".....

Is there a little Botox action in this young lady?

8 The Packers stink this year. But just wait till next year, when we get Jordy Nelson back. We'll be unstoppable!

If I could have any more children, I'd name it Jordy. Boy/girl - doesn't matter. Jordy. But that ship sailed about 30 years ago. Maybe I'll get a hamster.

As a Bears fan, there is no way in h3ll I can root for the CrumbPackers. So I'll be rooting for Cardinals-Panthers and Patriots-Broncos.

Though, if the Chiefs win, I'll be rooting for Chiefs-Broncos. Great AFC West rivalry.

As the ultimate obnoxious NFL story line, gotta root for Patriots-Broncos. One last Brady vs Manning match-up before Manning retires.

107 Tallest woman I ever knew was 6'1-not a transgender.
Her father was 6'6 and her mother was 6'0. She was gorgeous. I think
she became a model, but had a hard time finding dates because she was so
tall.

Posted by: FenelonSpoke at January 16, 2016 04:32 PM (M+RRn)

I know a young lady who is well over 6' tall. She's smart and sweet, and cute as can be. She should have no difficulty finding men who wish to date her. I suspect the problem is more that she's having difficulty finding men she wishes to date. Yes, it's a height thing. Chicks are into height, above all other considerations. Looks-wise.

This strikes me as as being one of two things, or maybe both - a) she seems to be assuming that all she has to do is get the facts out there and all of a sudden people aganist guns will change their minds - that's a pipe dream since the left is using guns as a control issue - has nothing to do with guns, or b) she is really running a campaign to cut the legs out from under groups like the NRA by promoting "common sense" reforms - that Reagan quote makes me think it's more like b) rather than a).
Meh, good luck to her and maybe as she does it more, she'll realize it's about control, period, and not just gun control.

Broke down on the side of the road set out a nice set of reflectors, by the book.
Within two minutes and after near misses a car rounded the corner and took out two of the reflector before recovering.

I dug down an pulled out some old striker flares. Cars would risk head a head-on avoiding those babies.

I couldn't stand Elway when his teams were raping my OSU Beavers in the 80s (I was the guy drunkenly screaming "HORSEHEAD!!!!" from the stands during those bitter contests), and I enjoyed every SB loss he suffered.

Elway dumped a Christian who was a WINNER who took a shitty team from obscurity to the playoffs and a victory over the Steelers, and picked up the worst playoff QB in NFL history.

Fuck 'em.

Fenelon! I just did a good deed. An old lady came up to my car in the kroger parking lot and said she needed a ride to a soup kitchen/place to stay. I thought she looked harmless and that sounded harmless and so I took her. But she wouldn't tell me where we were going except near main...turns out it was to a random persons house in a terrible neighborhood! I stared thinking maybe this was potentially not safe but it all came out alright. And I have the three dollars plus change I had in the car.

But when I turned on this one street I was like oh crap, this could totally be a setup.

If someone tells you they're tea party, you can't be tea party and at the same time have supported TARP.
You can't be tea party and at the same time have supported Barack Obama's stimulus.

You can't be tea party and at the same time support the ethanol mandate because it's good politics in Iowa and support the sugar subsidies because it's good politics in Florida.

Well, not to excuse the shitbird muzzies that did the stoning, but "transgender women" aren't women. They are men, dressed in womens' clothing, who may or may not have had their dicks deducted. Still, as males, they ought to be able defend themselves. (not that women can't, or shouldn't, but that men are normally more prepared to get physical if attacked)

Maybe German drag queens should start carrying weapons. A 12" dildo stuffed with buckshot would do nicely, and the cops could be convinced it was just a personal toy.

If you see Our Lady of Guadalupe on the back window, or any surname with an unhealthy profusion of vowels and the letters "t" and "z" printed in gothic script in the same area - probably NOT a German Lutheran behind the wheel, so don't get too aggressive.

616 I'll probably watch it again. (Not the Patriots / Chiefs game; that seemed to be a snoozer.)

The important thing isn't quite the people involved. The important thing is figuring out Base A (which fell) from Base B (which held).

Base A was the temporary embassy, which the main characters broke orders to re-secure, which had "Ambo" Stevens in it. The main characters successfully secured... some of it. But not in time to save Stevens; and then they had to flee it, because the Black Flag proto-ISIS militias were coming back.

Base B was the *real* American presence in Benghazi. This was the sooper-sekrit CIA base, which had been leaked to proto-ISIS some weeks before. So when the main characters came back there, having failed to secure Stevens, proto-ISIS went and attacked that base too.

/so I gather

//shit was chaotic in benghazi

///and the assholes in DC didn't give a shit

////and still don't

IOW, the banks exposure with their energy loans would wipe out their capital, so the Fed is letting them slide on the accounting. Supposedly the Dallas Fed to a look at the real balance sheets (not dressed up by the accounting razzle-dazzle), shit their pants, and then realized they may have a "contagion" problem on their hands.

And ol' Quaddafi supposedly told the West "Apres vous, le jihad". Take me out, and you're gonna regret it. The jihad will consume you. He was right.

855 Is that what the kids are calling it nowadays? "Fruit cup"?

856 DangerGirl,
If you want/need to just vent sometime, contact me off the blog. I won't even respond if you don't want...

We can compare sob stories, and I bet I can make your financial woes seem minscule.
But, you're smart to stay away from the stress of daily politics - which we have absolutely zero control over.

Keep your chin up. And check in every once in a while, ok?

Posted by: Chi at January 16, 2016 10:14 PM (uY5Mk)

857 DangerGirl, I know I'm nearly a complete stranger, but I appreciate and care about you and want to encourage you. I wish I could encourage you financially, but we've got similar struggles.

You know that you're among friends who will stand with you even when you don't feel bright and breezy.

If you want to talk, I have an email address at yahoo.com. The part before @ is mindysosiare. I'm terrible at cheering people up, but I'd be willing to try.

858 Dangergirl {{{{hugs}}}}-- things always get better but the in between sucks, I know.

I will add you to my prayers though.

859 DangerGirl, don't leave, it only gets worse if you run and hide from people, trust me, I know

862 You guys, you are making me weepy. No, maybe that's just me making me weepy.

Thank you for your support. It means more than you know. Things are just scary at the moment. We are afraid we will lose our house. Work for Mr. D has been non-existent for a while (we own our own business). We have burned through our entire savings. We are very scared. I keep praying, but nothing happens and I don't understand.

Posted by: Spun and Murky at January 16, 2016 10:20 PM (Bi1Tt)

864 Danger Girl - that sounds like a very scary place to be. No wonder you feel overwhelmed. The only way I know to help you is to pray. I will do that. I hope that you just kinda hang around, even if you don't feel like saying a lot, just so we can touch base and maybe be of some small comfort.

Well crap, DG! A hug to you. Hang in there. Darkest before the dawn, and all...

866 Thanks guys, I really am grateful for any prayers you can send our way. Basically for jobs for Mr. D. I bring in a regular salary from my job, thank God, but it isn't enough to sustain us.

I didn't mean to bring down the thread, really, I apologize.

I will hang around, but mostly on the weekend, when the non-poliitical stuff is on. I can't handle politics at the moment. For real.

869 I didn't mean to bring down the thread, really, I apologize.

No need to apologize for one single thing. We love you.

In a normal world this would not have happened. He met the terms Bush gave him. His murder caused by USA told the world the "policeman of the world", the "keeper of the law" is no more. A moral outrage.

874 Why are CNBC & FBN, two supposedly 'speciality' channels on business, so TERRIBLE on everything to do with business? They both said for literally years coming into 2008 that there was no housing bubble, when it was EXACTLY a housing bubble that started the ball rolling to the disaster that devastated all our savings accounts and had President Bush and SoT Paulsen peeing in their Depends over overseeing what looked like the death of capitalism. Both FBC & CBNC have been predicting runaway inflation is due "soon", every day for almost SEVEN FREAKING YEARS in a row now, and yet it just never happens. That's at least 2 years past an entire business cycle, and it never happened. They both said Obamacare was going to destroy the economy, but then the stock market went UP BY almost 100% and the rate of increase of health care costs has cut back to historic levels we haven't seen since before the first Reagan administration.

You can't watch the new incoming Dem president in 2009 get handed a nearly dead economy, then watch as that economy grows more than twice as much as it ever did under President Bush, with multiple times as many jobs created as were created under Bush, and claim that a dip in the Dow & the S & P that's pretty much exactly like 4 other dips we've seen in the past 7 years and more than twice that many during the Bush years means the sky is falling. You may fool the backwater morons and yahoos who won't ever vote Dem anyway, but you won't fool that top ten or so percent of Republican earners, and they're gonna think you're nuts and vote Dem for that reason.
