Unless Smets was reacting to the horrors of the Russo-Japanese war, I call bosh on that concept.
Um some of his stuff is kind of pretty, I like some of the paintings, when he felt like it he did stuff that was reminiscent of the Goya court paintings.
Others are just blocky and stiff looking. Oh, well.

So I look at these orange trees and wonder what it is that would make those trees orange? A distant nuclear explosion over the horizon? A house fire, perhaps started by a chimney fire, or candle? Maybe an oil well, or gas well fire. Or a false color image from a light amplification device?
It is a mystery to me because when I look outside I see white, grey gloomy sky, dark trees. Even the evergreen are so dark they are almost black.

Yup. The recent Luther special episode had this truly psycho killer who was just randomly, gruesomely offing people in all sorts of imaginative, non-gun related ways. Ended with confrontation and the talking. Why would you expect to talk a psychopath out of a killing spree - logic and reason have already left the building, mate!
But this is what Hollywood wants so bad - a world in which the killers and criminals have the advantage because they are better-armed (with whatever weapon they use) and have the will to use them. Meanwhile, the good guys act tough and....talk.

There was a murder in a nearby town yesterday. TV showed graphic images of beaten-up corpse of gang banger beaten and thrown in ditch by presumably other gang-bangers. Chyron said it had to with drugs... Diriomo, a town right on the Pan-American highway; lots of transients. This place is like a gated community in comparison. For the record, the only dietary limitations I have are "drink lots of fluids" and "no alcohol for 24 hours after the procedure", which is up this afternoon and has more to do with the sedative working its way out of my system.
I may even wander in to work later this week, though even if I don't I'm covered rather well, between stockpiling sick days almost nonstop since I started this job, working with folks who understand, and at least one co-worker as witness when I was picking up my prescriptions.
I'm told I'll be used to the damn thing after three days, but I'm counting towards next Monday when I get rid of the thing.

It was just a matter of platform. I had a PC and used Audacity and then got a Mac and used GarageBand. (Although I recall GarageBand being easier but Audacity being more flexible. Like I say, it's been a while.)

Since the states end up voting after the fact on all amendments, and three quarters of the states have to approve of each amendment, I think we are safe from libtard mischief. So I don't worry at all about your point (A).
As far as (B) goes I don't get the concern. Recently Jim Geraghty tried to make a similar argument, saying citizens are ignorant of the constitution so why change it, and that's nonsense. Geraghty argues more (or all?) citizens be required to be constitutionally literate before we try to fix abuses and, of course, that is ridiculous. As far as your own point goes, I think amending the constitution in order to give citizens more ability to fight back against abusive government obviously is a good thing.
So what if the bad guys will keep trying to abuse us? We just keep fighting them, and strengthening our hand constitutionally can only be a good thing.

Our s.o.p. was to wrap them up in black friction tape. They sucked but it was better than not playing. We also solved bat cracks at the handle of the bat by using thin nails to fortify them. This also sucked because sometimes the nails bent, and once cracked, the bats were never really the same.
Once my mom drove me to the large discount store (Almart) where I bought three baseballs for $1.00. I thought I had hit the lottery, only to learn that they split apart after being hit around for about 15 minutes. They had some sort of compressed cellophane filling. Probably my first real lesson in "You get what you pay for."

Well the state can't go "bankrupt" apparently, they seem to think they own us all. The way to beat the unions claim on their golden (illegally unfunded) pensions, is to show the quid pro quo between the pensioners/union bosses/Democrat politicians. Vast sums are paid to the Democrats with the agreement that public union workers would get special treatment. Can't fire them for incompetence, must pay them for spurious/worthless extended degree credits, they get to retire early on pensions sometimes higher than their salary, etc.
This came up a decade or more ago, the illegal non-funding, and the Democrat response was to continue not funding enough (that would have bust the budget and killed their reelection chances) ... so they reinforced that even unfunded liabilities would be paid by future taxpayers. ie., We will screw you now AND we will screw the children later. These people should be in prison with Blago.
But they still go on strike to harm the children they claim to love (Chicago 2012, bad system highest paid in country, had ObamaRahma over the barrel), while they hold a monopoly on "education". These are obvious Racketeer Influenced Corrupt Organizations, that buy off our political process. So yes, all public teachers and their union thugs and the politicians they bought must go to jail, go directly to jail, do not pass go, do not collect $200,000. /sarconthatlastpart

I always find it amazing that people, adults no less, swallow that BS. My lib sister a year or so ago made some random statement about how badly "we" screwed the Indians. Couldn't help myself and went onto the list some the brain dead assumptions with that statement and how "I" didn't screw any Indians in any case. She actual took it kind of hard but it really seems like she never heard any of the counter-arguments or facts, like Indians were robbing and killing each other long before Europeans came to these shores. We have an annual bicycle run here in Western CO and they are quite the obnoxious pieces of shit. The roads are cordoned off for the race and traffic diverted, but it is prior to the race that they try and take over the road to practice. Yeah, the Brit police shows are likely inflating the effectiveness of talking a criminal out of his crime in progress.
However, watching Luther was very instructive in how poorly prepared a disarmed police officer/detective is against a criminal.
The show I mentioned, "Luther", has a main character whose flaws include a temper/going overboard in beating down suspects. Luther would not be in that position in a lot of cases if he just had a gun - pointing it and telling a criminal to stand still while he arrests/handcuffs them would eliminate the suspects attitude of, "Hey, he's unarmed and I have this knife/pipe/baseball bat, so yeah, I'm not going to cooperate with your arresting me, buddy."

O'Reilly is a long time friend, and their FOX chats have helped convince me Trump would be OK. Trump's kids are another positive indicator.
Trump got the advance copy of Coulter's book and used it fully to his advantage. So she was his best "adviser" so far I suppose.
Yeah, he has a company or three go through bankruptcy, but I don't know details. It is really not like an individual just skipping out on debt. Bonds or loans to companies are made with full knowledge of risk, and interest rates are set accordingly. Some businesses fail and then they get bankruptcy protection to work either a way out, or a fair way to divide the remainder, considering which debt is senior and so on.
Anyway ... to say Trump is just a moron that got given all his money is foolish, but is the attack many so called conservatives like to employ. Trump is not up to speed on every aspect of politics, but the other candidates have less experience in how things really work. The real nitty gritty of policy comes from the wonks, and Trump knows how to use "his people".
What Trump excels at is rallying America against the DC Cartel, and hopefully against the globalists. "America First" is not some sort of xenophobia ... it is only logical. The white guilt crap has to end. I'd like to hear Trump preach a little from the founders ideals ... we shall see.

this is part of the problem with long term non enforcement ... to compete one has to accept the standard of using illegals, or become non-competitive.
Building trades and hotels, some horticultural things ... illegal labor is the norm and the only way to compete. In a sense the same problem with so called "free trade" where we buy from markets where workers are treated like slaves. So a big move to establish/grow the wine industry in Illinois mostly fails since two buck chuck made by illegals, and wine from Chile ... is impossible to compete with.
We can have "full employment" here, but not if we have to employ the whole world first, in hopes that they will one day buy from US.

Having no experience in that area I would expect that getting a solid supply of cheap labor involves battles with unions and other such obstacles that makes willing,legal inexpensive workers very appealing .

I agree. In this political climate, after 7+ years of watching things slide off the cliff, it's not hard to figure out what has the electorate so dayum pissed off at DC. Especially after we got back the Senate only to watch them give Bobo everything he wants with a cherry on top.
First and foremost, illegal immigrants are felons that make this country unsafe and unstable, plus they do the most damage at the local level by sucking up services to which they are not entitled. They are freeloading invaders--yeah, even, if they work 60 hours a week, they are freeloaders, because their money flies out of America to family in Mexico and we pay for their education, foodstamps, and health care. Such a deal for us.... Now, add in their crime rate and we are really talking a big problem--rape, drunk driving, murder, vehicular homicide, fraud, etc., etc.
Then we get to our invited freeloaders--Syrian refugees. Yeah, that's a good idea, invite a bunch of young healthy men who despise us and our culture here to live. WTF could possibly go wrong? Are you kidding me? Everything can and will go wrong with this, but, shut up, hater, diversity.

Illegals will never make a net financial positive contribution to the US Welfare State. In fact, they are a current net drain, and will always be. Nearly all of their children will be too, the occasional valedictorian excepted.
What they do is create an increasing need for the Welfare State, which means more teachers, social workers, health care workers, and prison guards.
If you make less than $xxx per year that's the way the math works, especially if you have children.
Now it's one thing to offer this to our current citizens, quite another to import the demand, especially when the math doesn't pencil out long-term for the citizens we're already trying to help.
Once again, minorities and women will be hardest hit.

Looked into it. The butt pirate has stepped down as acting Secretary, not withdrawn his nomination. Of all people, John McCain (R-Arizona) was holding the nomination up as long as he continued to serve as acting Secretary. But Pat Roberts (R-Kansas) now has a hold on the nomination, supposedly because of Administration policy on Club Gitmo. If the D's were in charge of the Senate, it would be mighty fabulous there in the Army. I have to believe there are other rearguard actions going on by the R's that we don't hear much about because they don't get through the media filter.
